The old scenes are hard to forget, like a deer carrying my longing.

Upon hearing this, Qin Qi subconsciously followed her gaze.

What kind of figure was that?

The handsome young man, with his rosy lips and pearly white teeth, spoke gently and warmly to the person beside him. His long, black hair was tied up with a jade crown and secured with a matching hairpin. A faint smile played at the corners of his lips, perfectly complementing his ethereal and handsome face. He wore a dark robe with auspicious cloud patterns sewn along the edges, exuding an extraordinary aura.

Even though the women around him were all gazing at him with intense admiration, he didn't look at them much and continued to smile gently.

Almost subconsciously, a few words popped into Qin Xi's mind—

Thinking of the gentleman, whose gentle nature is like jade.

The handsome face of this elegant young man slowly overlapped with the refined gentleman in black robes from that day, making her memory suddenly clear.

That day, the group of them went to Jinglin Plum Garden to enjoy the scenery. On the way, the young man stopped the two of them and, with an apologetic tone, politely inquired about their purses. Only then did Shu Hua realize that she and Shu Zhan had each lost their purses. She was grateful, but didn't have time to ask his name.

This was none other than the young man in black robes from that day.

Qin Xi nodded: "It does look like it, most likely."

Turning her head, she saw her friend's eyes sparkling. She touched her hair and straightened her clothes, her voice filled with barely suppressed excitement: "Yizhi, you, you please take a look for me. How's my makeup today? Are my clothes beautiful? Is my hair in a good place?"

She rattled off several questions in quick succession, leaving Qin Qi somewhat puzzled.

Shaking his head, Qin Qi said, "Everything is fine, except..."

"But what?" Shu Hua grasped her hand anxiously. "Is something wrong?"

“There is something wrong, but it’s not a problem with your clothes or makeup. Something’s off about you.” Qin Xi looked at her impatient friend with a scrutinizing gaze and frowned.

Upon hearing this, Shu Hua blushed, her cheeks turning as red and vibrant as a ripe autumn apple: "What did I do wrong... just answer my question."

Glancing at her, Qin Xi raised an eyebrow: "Your makeup is beautiful, your clothes fit well, and your hair looks freshly styled. You could be described as 'a graceful young woman of thirteen or so, like a budding flower in early February.'"

"You're making fun of me again!" Her face flushed red, like a young girl in the throes of first love, making one want to kiss her.

Qin Qi couldn't help but chuckle. Just as he was about to tell her to stop standing and go to the private room, she interrupted him, saying, "Wait for me here. I'll be right back."

After saying that, she ran towards the man in the black robe like a gust of wind, but slowed down a few steps away from him, taking small, delicate steps like a lady from a noble family.

"Greetings, young master." Shu Hua bowed with great poise, a stark contrast to her usual demeanor.

Blocked from the light, the young man looked up in confusion, stood up and returned her greeting: "Greetings, young lady. Is there something you wish to discuss with me?"

He didn't even recognize her? Shu Hua frowned, somewhat annoyed.

She craned her neck to look at the boy who was a head taller than her, her eyes wide as she pointed at herself: "Young master, it's me, it's me."

The boy was very puzzled by her behavior and racked his brains for a long time but still couldn't remember.

Seeing his reaction, Shu Hua suddenly had a flash of inspiration. She took the purse from her waist, held it in her palm, and presented it to him, saying, "Please take a look, young master."

The boy lowered his eyes, making it impossible to see the expression in them.

On the pouch, a deer is drinking water by a stream, looking lifelike as if it were alive.

He then realized what was happening and, somewhat excited, bowed to Shu Hua again: "So it's you, young lady. I've been rude."

She wasn't even as memorable as a purse? Shu Hua thought to herself, pursing her lips in disapproval.

However, he finally remembered, and Shu Hua's eyes still curved into a smile: "Young master, there is no need to blame yourself. After we parted that day, no one knew we would meet again. I didn't expect to meet you again today. I am lucky."

The two were overjoyed to see each other again. Shu Hua, in particular, was so happy she was practically dizzy with excitement.

If Qin Xi still can't figure out what's going on after all this, then she'll have wasted all those years of friendship with Shu Hua.

This fiery and impulsive girl has finally fallen for worldly desires!
