Who made the wrong decision at the outset of this affair? A fratricidal conflict incurs divine wrath.

For the past two weeks, Xu Zi has been staying at the Shu residence and has also written a letter which he sent to Doctor Xu's residence, instructing him to proceed according to plan.

So Doctor Xu resorted to crying, making a scene, and threatening suicide. In his youth, he was a spoiled brat, no less so than Lu Huai. Now, though somewhat old, he still disregarded all dignity. Emperor Yuming was annoyed but had no choice but to patiently endure it.

Although Master Shu was a businessman, he knew quite a few people in official circles, and had some connections with Prime Minister Qin. Both were high-ranking officials, and without evidence, no one dared to accuse them of collusion between officials and businessmen. Even if there were evidence, they would have to consider whether it could shake Prime Minister Qin's leading position in the court.

Therefore, Princess Zhaoyang had no idea where Xu Zi was, and even when she sent people out to look for him, they found nothing.

Constrained by the emperor's words, Emperor Yuming had no choice but to increase the punishment, thus extending her confinement period.

...

...

As soon as Qin Qi stepped into Shu Hua's courtyard, he heard Xu Zi shouting, "Give it back to me!"

The voice was strong and clear, indicating that the body had recovered well.

Looking up, I saw her lifting her skirt, running and pointing at the person in front of her: "Stop! Give it back to me!"

Following the direction of his finger, there stood Shu Zhan. He raised an eyebrow, his tone utterly irritating: "Then come and get it!"

Qin Xi: "..."

"Yizhi." Shu Hua, who had been extremely annoyed, was very excited when she saw her, and her brow finally relaxed.

Qin Xi pointed at the two of them, somewhat bewildered: "What...what are they doing?"

Upon hearing the mention of the two, Shu Hua sighed and said helplessly, "It's been like this every day lately, just ignore them. Come and sit down, have a cup of tea, this is your favorite Meitan Cuiya tea."

Lu Huai nodded.

She led the two to the stone table, ordered the maid to add more tea, poured a cup for each of them, and then they sat down.

"Enjoy yourself!" Shu Hua beckoned to Xu Zi, "Come here quickly!"

Xu Zi subconsciously glanced back and saw Qin Qi there as well. A smile immediately appeared on her lips as she ran over cheerfully, saying, "Sister Yizhi."

It hadn't been so cold these past few days, and from running, she had beads of sweat on her forehead.

Qin Xi nodded, and then saw her casually wipe the sweat with her sleeve, presumably because she was a little hot.

"Sit down and rest for a while." Qin Xi poured her a cup of tea and handed it to her.

Just as Xu Zi was about to catch it, a large hand reached out from the side and snatched it away: "Hiss, it's really delicious."

Startled, I looked and saw that Shuzhan had indeed finished her tea in one gulp.

Xu Zi's beautiful eyes widened, she reached out and grabbed his arm, twisted it hard, and gritted her teeth, saying, "Shu, Zi, Xiang—!"

"Hiss—" Shu Zhan gasped for breath and quickly apologized, "Ouch! Ouch! Let go! I'm sorry! I'm sorry, okay!"

"Hmph!" Xu Zi stomped on his foot hard before stopping. She crossed her arms in front of her and turned her head to the side, unwilling to look at him.

Shuzhan hugged his leg and hopped on one foot, his face scrunched up in a grimace.

"..." Qin Qi blinked and looked at Shu Hua in front of her, only to see her holding her forehead, looking helpless.

Somewhat amused and exasperated, Qin Xi poured Xu Zi another cup of tea: "Here you go."

Xu Zi quickly took it, staring at Shu Zhan warily, and then tilted his head back and drank it down in a flash.

"What kind of skill is it to bully a little girl?" Lu Huai suddenly spoke up, saying to Shu Zhan, "Shu Zixiang, come with me."

He got up and walked out of the courtyard. Shu Zhan pouted and followed.

The remaining three exchanged glances, and finally Qin Xi spoke first: "Never mind them. How is Princess Zhaoyang?"

Speaking of Princess Zhaoyang, Xu Zi, she was furious. She had never seen such a vicious woman in her life.

They actually put drugs in her food!

How important is a woman's chastity!
