Chapter 346 Heatwave
Han Ziyang's wariness of Chu Jin stemmed from her background as a physician. Such people have keen eyes and can easily detect when something is wrong with him.
Moreover, he had heard that Chu Jin was a disciple of a medical sage, and he did not want to have any contact with Chu Jin at this time.
Han Ziyang's mind was racing with thoughts, and he reacted quickly by cursing, "Is this how you protect your guests? The reason you came to kill my people tonight is because of your Nangong family, right?"
He decided to scold Chu Jin first, so that the other party would not dare to come forward easily.
At the same time, deep in his mind, he cursed Xue Mushi, telling him to either endure the heavenly lightning and wake up quickly, or give up and die directly.
Chu Jin was somewhat wronged by the scolding. It was Han Bing who was in charge of keeping an eye on Han Ziyang. Her intervention today was purely coincidental. If she hadn't discovered that the person being attacked was Han Ziyang, she wouldn't have bothered to take action.
“I’ve already messaged my older brother; he’ll be here soon.” Considering the other party was an important guest personally invited by their father, Chu Jin suppressed her displeasure and stepped forward. “This place isn’t safe to stay in any longer; we should…”
"Get lost. I don't need a cripple to protect me. Call your brother." Han Ziyang said in a low, cold laugh. "Even if you were willing, I still don't trust you."
These words were like a heavy blow to Chu Jin, mercilessly tearing open the wounds deep within her heart that had not yet healed.
It had been so long since Chu Jin was imprisoned in Chongtai Third Prison, and this was the first time she had heard someone call her "crippled." The woman's face gradually turned cold, and when she spoke again, she smiled and said, "Mr. Han, you were indeed protected by a cripple just now. In that case, you are not even as good as a cripple."
Han Ziyang initially felt a little guilty for taking his anger out on a woman for no reason and pointing fingers at her deepest wounds, but after hearing Chu Jin's words, that guilt vanished instantly.
Chu Jin added, "If Mr. Han hadn't been a guest invited by my father, I wouldn't have..."
Before she could finish speaking, several figures landed behind her using wind magic. Han Bing arrived with his men, and among the group of black-clad Rakshasa sorcerers, the man's pure white attire stood out conspicuously.
Han Bing glanced quickly at the man lying on the ground and killed him with a single move.
Chu Jin curled her lips slightly and said sarcastically to the man who walked up to her, "Mr. Han should blame you for being late."
Han Bing's dark, calm eyes flickered slightly, his aura cold and stern. He paused briefly and asked, "What are you doing here?"
“It was a coincidence.” Chu Jin looked into the woodshed. “If it weren’t for me, and you had come now, you might have only seen Mr. Han’s corpse.”
Han Ziyang, inside, laughed in exasperation: "It sounds like you'd really like me to die here."
"This is none of your business." Han Bing walked towards the woodshed.
Chu Jin looked displeased, but didn't say anything in front of so many people. She stood in the moonlight and watched Han Bing help Han Ziyang, who was walking unsteadily, out. It seemed that his soul had been injured, but there was no external injury.
Could such trash really damage Han Ziyang's soul?
Chu Jin narrowed her eyes slightly.
Doesn't he have the bloodline of divine punishment from the Legalists?
Han Bing also sensed that Han Ziyang was not in good condition, and after leaving, he asked in a low voice, "Did you damage your soul?"
"Don't ask these questions about whether you can get something or not," Han Ziyang said impatiently. "You won't die."
Han Bing then decided not to ask any further questions.
That's his good point. He doesn't ask questions when told not to. Han Ziyang's consciousness was hazy amidst the pain of being struck by lightning, his memories flashing back to the scene when he saw Han Bing in the Legalist land when he was a child.
That's a really quiet, unassuming person who makes a snapping sound when poked.
I never thought he'd still be this pathetic even after growing up.
Han Bing brought Han Ziyang back to the Nangong Prince's Mansion. On the way back to their room, Han Bing said, "Let's go to my place first, otherwise Chu Jin will come looking for you."
"You seem to know her quite well." Han Ziyang glanced at him with one eye open and one eye closed, not forgetting to gossip even on his deathbed. "You knew about this person a long time ago, didn't you?"
Instead of answering, Han Bing asked, "Weren't you avoiding her just now? Were you going to be sent back and wait for her to come and examine your injuries?"
Han Ziyang wasn't sure how long he could withstand this damn lightning strike: "Go to hell."
Han Bing took Han Ziyang back to his own residence. Along the way, Han Ziyang was half-dead, his face was completely pale, and he was sweating profusely.
As soon as Han Ziyang entered the room, he pushed Han Bing aside and slumped down in a chair by the table. His gaze drifted to the three exquisitely packaged gift boxes on the table, along with half-written gift slips.
There were three gift slips on the table. The first two had already been written. Just as Han Ziyang's gaze fell on the top gift slip, Han Bing put it away.
Han Ziyang chuckled strangely, "Is this a birthday gift for your sister? I doubt your sister, being so proud, would like such a trinket."
Han Bing did not answer.
Han Ziyang, however, wanted to divert his attention, so he continued, "I didn't expect you to be such a good older brother who would give me a birthday present. Weren't you just being quite nice to him..."
Han Bing kicked the chair leg, and Han Ziyang lost his balance and fell to the ground, chair and all. In his near-death pain, he managed to utter a curse through his teeth: "Damn it."
"Should we call a doctor?" Han Bing was also a little surprised to see him fall to the ground.
"I don't need it. You should get out of here too, don't disturb my cultivation." Han Ziyang stood up, clutching his chest, and shooed Han Bing out.
Han Bing assumed that his condition was due to his cultivation, so he left the room to attend to other matters.
Han Ziyang leaned back in his chair, closed his eyes, frowned deeply, and began to berate Xue Mushi.
As time passed, the power of the heavenly lightning grew stronger and stronger.
Xue Mushi's consciousness was weak, hovering between life and death. He may not even have realized that he had entered a near-death state, his consciousness floating in chaos and unable to wake up.
Fragile yet resilient.
This caused trouble for the other four people.
Han Ziyang and the irritable man were both cursing Xue Mushi, trying to wake him up.
Gongsun Qi occasionally chimed in with a few words, but mostly remained silent.
Yu Sui could only distract himself by talking to Mei Liangyu.
"Heavenly lightning," she muttered, hiding inside her clothes. "The heavenly lightning of Taoism is truly powerful."
"Senior brother, are the Four Symbols and Myriad Methods from Taoism?"
"yes."
"So, which is more powerful, it or the Nine Mysterious Techniques of the Yin-Yang School?"
"According to known records, there has never been a fight between those who know the Nine Mysterious Techniques and those who know the Four Symbols and Myriad Techniques, so we don't know who is more powerful."
Do you think I can learn the Nine Mysterious Techniques?
"able."
"What about the Four Symbols and myriad laws?"
"able."
"You're lying to me."
"..."
Yu Sui spoke to Mei Liangyu intermittently, but her heart grew increasingly agitated, the torment of near-death experience eroding her patience.
Xue Mushi was in the forbidden Taoist area of Xunlei Diji. Even if you went there, you could only stay on the cliff and watch. Whoever went down there would have to withstand the heavenly lightning.
Anyone below the level of a saint who goes down the cliff will die.
Yu Sui couldn't possibly let Zou Qian go and save Xue Mushi. In his current near-death state, it would be easy for someone to notice something.
She was even more reluctant to let Mei Liangyu go through danger and suffering, even though Mei Liangyu could withstand the Myriad Manifestations Heavenly Thunder, she was still unwilling.
But the myriad heavenly lightning bolts fell one after another, over and over again, and she was on the verge of collapse.
Previously, near-death experiences were only brief, but now they last for almost two hours.
In a daze, Yu Sui felt as if she had returned to the state of fever she had when she was a child. Her breathing was hot and she was in pain all over. She cried and was sobbing uncontrollably while her mother held her in her arms and covered her forehead.
The coat covering Yu Sui was soaked with sweat. Unconsciously, Yu Sui pinched Mei Liangyu's arm and later vented his pain by scratching and clawing at her until she bled profusely.
Yu Sui lifted the outer garment covering her, raised herself up to kiss Mei Liangyu, their sweaty skin pressed against each other's dry skin, and soon their breaths became hot and ambiguous.
After nightfall, Yu Sui's body became frighteningly hot.
Mei Liangyu's lips were bleeding from Yu Sui's bite. He frowned and hissed softly, looking at the person biting him like a dog, but then he took the initiative to lean closer and hook her arm to continue kissing her.
Yu Sui was also quite tormented by the near-death state. When her rationality returned temporarily, she was stunned when she saw how badly she had bullied the person in front of her. Her dark eyes were fixed on the bright red lips.
She kissed him gently and whispered "I'm sorry."
Mei Liangyu laughed at her, calling her a puppy's affectionate friend, but her breathing grew heavier and heavier, the soft and firm colliding, the sound of fabric rubbing against fabric coming one after another.
Yu Sui vented his pain on Mei Liangyu, who silently endured it, but his desire grew more and more obvious. Unfortunately, it was not the right time, so he could only pick up the person who was about to slip off him again and hold him tightly.
Time seemed to pass faster amidst this mutual torment.
During the almost suffocating kisses, Yu Sui would occasionally call out "Senior Brother" pitifully, as if apologizing to him, yet unable to control herself from hurting him.
The night wind howled, and although it should have been icy cold, the two felt as if they were being swept by waves of scorching heat.
Yu Sui unconsciously tightened her grip as she ran her fingers through Mei Liangyu's dark hair, taking a deep breath. The sweat on her nose tickled, but was overshadowed by another kind of itch. That warm head returned to her neck, and a wet kiss touched her ear. Yu Sui heard a man's soft pant, and a tingling sensation spread from her ear throughout her entire body.
"Why isn't that person dead yet?" Mei Liangyu's low breathing reached Yu Sui's ears, causing her to lose her composure for a moment.
“He can’t die,” Yu Sui replied in a muffled voice.
Upon hearing this, Mei Liangyu pulled Yu Sui's face towards him, his dark eyes, tinged with lust, fixed on her intently. He asked in a hoarse voice, "So worried?"
Yu Sui answered no, then leaned closer to comfort the person who had suddenly become jealous.
The stream flowed swiftly beside them, and the two people on the riverbank were not wet at all, yet they were soaked to the bone.
Mei Liangyu used every means to make Yu Sui feel better, allowing her to explore another kind of ultimate pleasure amidst the extreme pain of the Myriad Heavenly Thunder.
Han Ziyang and the irritable man took turns cursing Xue Mushi. After cursing for a while, they realized they were alone, so they called out to the other two: "You sly devil, are you mute? Don't you know what it means to have strength in numbers? If you don't curse him now, do you expect his sweetheart to fly to Taiyi and awaken him with love?"
Gongsun Qi: "You've already said everything I wanted to say."
"Can't you think of something else for yourself?" the hot-tempered man roared. "He broke his promise? Come out here! It's your turn to yell at him!"
A moment of silence.
Where are they?
Yu Sui didn't want to talk to them right now.
As dawn broke, Liang Zhen, who was guarding outside the valley, would occasionally look into the depths of the valley, but could only see the stream flowing down the mountain and the flowers and plants being blown upwards by the strong wind.
Zhang Guanyi yawned beside him and said, "They've been talking all night, they didn't fight, did they?"
"It doesn't look like it," Liang Zhen said.
Zhang Guanyi rubbed his eyes and said again, "Is their relationship really something that can be resolved with just a chat? They're both still young."
Liang Zhen glanced speechlessly at Zhang Guanyi, who looked like a child: "Senior brother, why don't you change your appearance before saying such things?"
Zhang Guanyi asked in confusion, "What did I say? What do you mean?!"
Liang Zhen immediately shut up.
