Chapter 132: Remarks on the Release
After 66 days of publishing the book and more than 270,000 words, it is finally time to put it on the shelves.
This book has come a long way and was finally put on the shelves during the Sanjiang recommendation period. I would like to thank everyone for their continued support.
Let’s first talk about some problems encountered during the creative process.
What about the flintlock rifles that were developed in the two ancient times and the technological advancement that was too outrageous? And why guns cannot be used in the world of immortal cultivation?
I never expected that many book lovers would be so concerned about these things.
I don't know how many years you have been reading books, but in my memory, more than ten years ago, there were too many time-travel novels about climbing the technological ladder and sweeping the world. No one said it was unreasonable. I just omitted the corresponding process.
As for why guns cannot be used in the world of immortal cultivation, I think every immortal cultivation novel can raise this soul-searching question.
Why? Because I'm writing a novel about cultivating immortals. I set it up like this. If the technological weapons can really be used in the world of cultivating immortals, then Li Fan will continue to reincarnate, create a torrent of steel, and push the world of cultivating immortals in the opposite direction. That's another story.
There are many small issues like this. Perhaps it is because I did not think it through. I did not expect that today's readers would be able to argue to such an extent.
But overall, it's not a big problem.
What really has a fatal impact on the structure of this book is that the process from Li Fan's first arrival in the world of immortal cultivation to his discovery of the great changes in Cong Yunhai is too short and too hasty.
My original outline went like this.
Li Fan came to Liuli Island with untold hardships and joined the fleet after going through untold difficulties.
He then fought a battle of wits and courage with Zhang Haobo, and snatched the position of captain by relying on the treasure that had been sunk into the sea in advance.
Afterwards, the spirit pool washed away all the immortal and mortal miasma, and a few years later, he arrived at the Wanxian Island.
After completing tasks on the island for a while, I finally accumulated enough contribution points and exchanged them for a water-attributed skill.
I thought that my cultivation would be smooth sailing from then on, but I found that after a few years, the water-attributed spiritual energy between heaven and earth became increasingly scarce.
The speed of cultivation is getting slower and slower.
The entire sea of clouds was also blocked off, with no one allowed to enter or leave.
Panic spread among the monks and killing gradually began.
Li Fan had no choice but to escape from Wanxian Island and hide in a remote island.
Later, as the sea dried up and the seabed was exposed, Li Fan suddenly realized the reason for the difference between what he saw in the two lives.
…
During this period, I originally planned to write at least a hundred chapters.
Just like the first volume of Lord of Mysteries, the reversal is revealed only after sufficient preparation.
But he had to change his mind midway.
Because you may not know that this book has only over a hundred collections when it had 100,000 words.
I couldn't even push it when I tried it out.
If we really follow the original outline, we will die.
So I had to speed up the process and completed the reversal in more than forty chapters.
Although my grades started to improve after that, they were still a little bit lacking.
Again, it's too hasty, too rushed.
Inevitably, there were many flaws, such as the underwater treasure was too new and did not look like treasure hidden in the sea at all.
But we can only try to make it as round as possible.
The second problem is that the Xuanhuang Refining Heart Mantra shortens the charging time of [Huanzhen] too much. When it was set, there was a lack of experience and the setting directly reduced the time by 11 years.
This also meant that I had to fill up these 11 years before I could continue the story of my previous life.
This has also caused the problem of slow progress reported by many readers.
Because I am not just writing about this life, I also have to consider laying the groundwork for the development of the plot for the next life.
I think these two issues have had a relatively large impact on the structure of this book.
The rest are minor details and have little impact.
Let’s talk about a few issues that readers have frequently reported.
1. The protagonist’s cultivation level improves too slowly.
This book is not a traditional story about leveling up and fighting monsters. In addition, the protagonist has practiced for hundreds of lifetimes, so practicing for one lifetime is of no use to him.
2. The protagonist is too good at cheating.
I just want to ask one question, with the protagonist's current skill configuration, if he raises his realm to the realm of immortality, can he be a match for the Lord of Law?
Even the path you cultivate is left to you by others, how can you fight this?
So the gap that has been opened is not big enough, we have to continue opening it.
3. [Huan Zhen] Foundation building problem.
[True] is beyond the world and involves the law of time. It is definitely impossible to use it to build a foundation in the early stage.
Please wait and see how the protagonist uses [Huanzhen] to build the foundation.
…
Next are some instructions.
I am indeed a newcomer and not anyone’s pseudonym.
So please forgive me if my writing is a bit immature.
I will work hard to improve myself and hope you will encourage me.
My job is okay, so I won’t complain.
Writing is mostly based on interest.
As a part-time worker and a novice, it is really difficult for me to write 4,000 words in more than four hours every day.
Maybe when my brain speed improves, my typing efficiency will be higher.
The so-called literature carries the truth. On that day, He Zhenghao's first lesson of cultivating immortals had a paragraph:
[“Some peaks may seem high, but in fact they have reached the end of their lives and can never rise any higher. Some are just small earthen slopes now, but who knows if they will grow into pillars supporting the sky in a few years?”
"Just like the Shaowei Mountain under our feet, it was inconspicuous at the time, but in just a few decades, it has become smaller than all the other mountains."
"Of course, there are many more like the countless peaks under the sea of clouds, which can only serve as a foil from beginning to end, silently looking up at the peaks above the sea of clouds."
"If mountains are like this, what about people?"]
I also said this to myself.
At that time, the collection of this book was less than 100, while the collection of books of the same period was several thousand.
This is the only way I can encourage myself.
Now, with everyone's support, the performance of this book is better than that of most books of the same period.
Thank you all again.
Thank you to all the friends who have voted and rewarded.
I would also like to thank editor Fu Chen for his continued help.
It will be available at 12 o'clock tomorrow, there may be a delay of a few minutes.
I will release three chapters in a row first, and will add two more chapters later in the evening.
If you think this book is well written, please give me a first order.
See you tomorrow everyone!
