Chapter 41 Strike When the Time Is Right

At this moment, a small group of rebels fled to the bridge in a panic.

Leading the group was Kui Xing, one of the Seventy-Two Earthly Fiends.

As Cao Meng's confidant, he witnessed Cao Meng being cleaved in two by a single sword strike.

That bloody scene is still vividly etched in his mind.

At this moment, the general De Kui Xing was covered in dust and dirt, his armor and helmet were discarded, and he was injured in many places and in a sorry state.

He was leading dozens of his men in a panic as they fled to the bridge.

It's worth mentioning that next to him was a foreigner with a high nose and blue eyes, deep-set eyes, high cheekbones, and many injuries on his body. He was cursing as he walked, looking extremely angry.

"Damn it!"

"That idiot Cao Meng."

“I told him long ago not to cause any trouble. He should lead his troops straight to the capital, and the Great Xia regime can be easily seized.”

"If he had listened to me, would we be running away like this now?"

"How am I going to explain this to my superiors when I get back?"

"Damn it, damn it!"

This man, named Hansen, was sent by the U.S. Black Hawk Federation to supervise Cao Meng and act as a military supervisor.

Clearly, the US doesn't have complete trust in Cao Meng either.

The Kui Xing warrior beside him said as he ran.

"Colonel Hansen, now is not the time to complain, we have to get out of here."

"Where there's life, there's hope."

"Otherwise, once that guy catches up with us, nobody will survive."

Ye Feng's terrifying methods instilled fear in everyone.

Hansen seemed to remember something and suddenly stopped.

"What's wrong, Colonel Hansen?" the Earthly Star Warrior asked in confusion.

Hansen's eyes flashed, and he said through gritted teeth.

"I can't just slink back like this."

"Ye Feng and his men are focused entirely on the battlefield right now, so their home is definitely unguarded."

"If we were to launch a surprise attack at this time and kidnap his family, wouldn't that be easy? I would have something to report back to when I get back."

"Isn't there a saying in your Great Xia military strategy, 'All warfare is based on deception'?"

"I think Ye Feng would never have imagined that we would do this."

The Kui Xing warrior hesitated somewhat.

"But this is very dangerous. If Ye Feng finds out, neither of us will survive."

Hansen had now completely calmed down and said dismissively.

"I think you've been scared out of your wits by Ye Feng."

"I guess he's already blinded by victory and has no idea we'd be attacking him from behind."

"Otherwise, if we go back like this, do you think the higher-ups will let us off the hook?"

"Only by doing this can we turn the tide."

"Since we're going to die anyway, why not take a chance?"

The Kui Xing warrior gritted his teeth and nodded.

"good."

"We'll do as you say."

Having made up his mind, the Kui Xing general led his remaining troops back.

Now, the great battle has just ended, and chaos reigns everywhere.

The scene was chaotic.

Many rebels were fleeing, and no one would notice them.

However, their sudden appearance still caused chaos and panic on the bridge.

Those standing on the bridge watching were all ordinary people.

Who wouldn't be afraid of such a sudden group of rebels?

Once it falls into the hands of the rebels, its fate is predictable.

The crowd panicked and fled.

"Ah, the rebels are coming! Everyone run!"

"Be careful they don't kill you."

As people pushed and shoved, many fell to the ground, creating chaos at the scene.

Ye Wushuang and Zhou Xiaoke were also in a hurry to leave.

It was quite a coincidence.

When Ye Wushuang passed by the rebel army, he overheard a conversation between Hansen and Kui Xing.

He was immediately terrified, his hair standing on end, and he felt a chill run down his spine.

My brother and his comrades are still on the battlefield. If these rebels break into our home and kidnap my sister-in-law and Grandpa Ouyang, the consequences are unimaginable.

We must not let them succeed, no matter what.

Ye Wushuang immediately called her brother, but the phone was constantly busy.

Seeing the rebels about to leave amidst the chaos, she was filled with anxiety and, out of some unknown source of courage, shouted out.

"stop!"

Even Zhou Xiaoke, who was standing next to her, was startled and couldn't understand what had gotten into her best friend.

"Xiao Ke, what's wrong with you? Come with me right now..."

She grabbed Ye Wushuang's hand tightly, trying to leave.

But Ye Wushuang, who was always laughing and joking, suddenly became extremely solemn, his gaze deep and resolute.

"Xiao Ke, you go first."

“I can’t just stand by and watch my family fall into the hands of these rebels. You should go first.”

Previously, her sister-in-law, Ouyang Luoxue, was nearly bitten to death by Qin Murong's dog while trying to protect her.

Grandpa Ouyang's efforts to save her caused the entire Ouyang family to fall into decline.

They sacrificed so much for her.

Therefore, Ye Wushuang would never allow the rebels to harm them again.

Although she was terrified, she bravely stepped forward.

I just hope my brother notices the changes on the bridge and comes over quickly.

Zhou Xiaoke was taken aback.

She had overheard some of the conversation between Kui Xing and Hansen, but not by chance.

On the battlefield, he was like a god descending from the heavens.

Ye Feng's identity is about to be revealed.
