Chapter 3 Killing King Jinlong

A young woman dressed in a dark blue Hanfu walked out from the corner of the entrance to the Golden Dragon Auction House, her wide sleeves swaying in the wind.

Two snow-white, jade-like calves were visible beneath the hem of her dress, and her slender waist was tightly bound by a belt, making her front appear even taller and more shapely.

Her face was lightly powdered, with beautiful willow-leaf eyebrows, delicate features, and a slight baby fat, making her look harmless.

"Lan Yu, it's you?"

Ye Feng was slightly taken aback.

Lan Yu is Master Qi's personal maid. She was an orphan whom Master Qi picked up when he went out. She takes care of Master Qi's daily life on the mountain.

Unfortunately, he has never been able to speak since he was a child and is mute.

Lan Yu walked forward gracefully, raised her slender hand, and began gesturing in front of Ye Feng.

Ye Feng understood what she meant.

It turned out that her seventh master had asked her to come down the mountain to take care of her.

Don't let Lan Yu's muteness fool you; his cultivation is incredibly strong.

Moreover, his cooking skills are excellent, comparable to those of a chef in a five-star hotel.

When I came down the mountain, she had just gone out hunting; otherwise, given her personality, she would have caught up with me long ago.

Because she always liked to stick close to him, following him around like a shadow.

Ye Feng also treated her as his younger sister.

"Lan Yu, you should go back to the mountain to take care of Master Qi."

After he finished speaking, he turned to leave, but Lan Yu grabbed his clothes tightly and wouldn't let go. She looked at him pleadingly, her little mouth pouting, and her eyes instantly filled with tears, as if she had been bullied.

He stood there, frozen in place, as if determined not to let go unless you agreed.

Ye Feng knew this girl was stubborn, so he sighed and had no choice but to nod in agreement.

Lan Yu was overjoyed to see Ye Feng nod in agreement.

At this moment, her younger sister Ye Wushuang also slowly woke up. As soon as she opened her eyes, she started shouting anxiously.

"Brother, run! Run! Don't let them catch you..."

"Shuang'er, it's alright now. I've chased away all the bad guys, and we're safe now."

When Ye Wushuang came to her senses, she felt like her mind was a complete mess.

Now, all she remembers is seeing her brother come to save her before she fainted, and then she passed out and can't remember anything else.

But now is clearly not the time to talk about that.

"Brother, let's get out of here quickly, the Golden Dragon Auction House won't let us go."

Just as he was about to leave with Ye Feng, he inadvertently saw Lan Yu dressed in Hanfu to the side. His eyes immediately filled with suspicion. He pulled Ye Feng aside and whispered something to her.

"Brother, who is she...?"

“Your sister-in-law has been waiting for you all these years. You can’t let her down. Otherwise, I will never forgive you.”

"Also, where have you been all these years? I thought you were dead."

Ye Wushuang's eyes were slightly red, and he had too many questions in his heart.

Ye Feng smiled wryly.

"Shuang'er, you've misunderstood. It's not what you think."

"Let's go, I'll take you home first, then we can have a good talk."

On the way, Ye Feng gave the two a brief introduction.

However, Ye Wushuang was somewhat averse to Lan Yu, treating him with indifference.

Lan Yu slightly turned her head to the side, looking like she was too lazy to bother with Lan Yu's cold shoulder.

The two women were locked in a standoff, leaving Ye Feng feeling helpless.

Soon, they returned to their sister's place.

This is an old house in the slum, a low two-story building.

The exterior walls are mottled and old, with cracks in many places.

The streets were littered with garbage and sewage flowed freely, while overhead wires crisscrossed the area.

Inside the room, there was hardly any decent furniture; books were piled up everywhere.

The living room could barely accommodate a dilapidated small square table, one of its legs was broken, and it was supported by half a brick.

With two more people suddenly added, the space felt even cramped, with almost no room to move.

However, it was tidied up quite cleanly and neatly.

Everything was spotless; my sister was still as clean as ever.

Ye Feng also noticed that the clothes hanging on the balcony had faded from washing, but his sister was reluctant to throw them away, which showed that she had been having a hard time all these years.

Ye Feng felt a little uneasy.

Fortunately, he's back, and everything will change.

"Brother, the house is a bit too small."

Ye Wushuang smiled shyly, poured Ye Feng a glass of water, hesitated for a moment, and then poured Lan Yu a glass as well.

Lan Yu nodded slightly, picked up her water glass, and went to the window to admire the view outside, giving the two of them some space to talk.

Although she couldn't speak, she was very clever and knew that the brother and sister hadn't seen each other for many years and must have a lot to say to each other.

"Brother, now you should tell me, what exactly happened in the past ten years?"

Ye Feng took a sip of water and then recounted in detail how he was chased by his enemies, how he jumped off a cliff, and how his master saved him.

This includes his relationship with Lan Yu.

Ye Wushuang breathed a sigh of relief upon learning that her brother had not done anything to betray his sister-in-law.

"So, for the past ten years you've been... cultivating immortality in the Kunlun Mountains?"

Ye Wushuang looked at Ye Feng with a face full of surprise, as if he were an alien.

The term "cultivation" only appears in novels.

It's so far removed from real life.

If someone stood in front of you claiming to be a cultivator of immortality, would you believe them?

Ye Feng didn't argue with his sister. He raised his hand, and a flame immediately ignited in his palm.

Ye Wushuang was startled; it was like magic. Her eyes were filled with admiration as she looked at Ye Feng.

Ye Feng withdrew the flames and said seriously.

"Remember, this is my secret, you can't tell anyone."
