Chapter 124 Game Day

"This is the team I want." He murmured softly, as if talking to himself, but also as if showing off to Luo Tiangang beside him, "Ruthless, cold-blooded, focused, everyone is a perfect fighting machine."

Luo Tiangang stood beside him, his expression still calm. He looked up at his opponents on the field, then glanced at the Xingyuan Sect team, and said calmly, "However, the game hasn't started yet, so don't get too excited too soon."

Ning Yuge smiled, his tone brimming with confidence. "Those weaklings of the Tianling Sect have long been frightened by our aura. Look at them now; there's no chance of them winning. The rest is just a matter of time."

Luo Tiangang did not respond, but continued to observe the venue with his deep eyes.

The referee's voice rang out over the field: "The game begins, both teams, please take your positions!"

Upon hearing the command, the Xingyuan Sect members sprang into action almost instantly. They marched in unison towards the center of the field, each step so powerful and resonant that the ground seemed to tremble slightly. Their movements were impassive, without a single person lagging behind. For a moment, their overwhelming momentum silenced the entire field.

The Tianling Sect's team, however, was clearly in a state of panic. Their players were slow to react, some even stumbling while positioning themselves. The coach, shouting himself hoarse, was unable to calm the team down.

"Hurry up and stand still! Keep steady! Don't be affected by the opponent's momentum!" The Tianling Sect coach's shouts echoed throughout the field, but his players were clearly already uneasy. Every face was filled with anxiety and tension.

"Ready!" the referee shouted again, and at the same time the psychic shield of the field slowly rose, isolating the two teams in the competition area.

The shield's light reflected on the faces of the Xingyuan Sect players, but it didn't even falter. They stood erect, their gazes as steely as steel. Their eyes swept across the Tianling Sect players, like hunters examining their unarmed prey. The entire arena seemed enveloped by an invisible chill, making everyone hold their breath.

A disciple from the Tianling Sect shrank his neck and whispered, "Their eyes... seem to be able to freeze people."

"Is this still a competition? I feel like I'm going to the execution ground..." another disciple muttered softly, his voice trembling.

The referee raised his hand, the whistle about to blow. A dead silence fell on the field; even the wind seemed to grow fainter. The cold stares of the Xingyuan Sect players contrasted sharply with the terrified gazes of the Tianling Sect players. Two completely different worlds collided fiercely on this field.

In the audience, Shen Qingwan bit her lip, her eyes complex and struggling. Her hands tightly grasped her sleeves, as if to cheer herself up, but also as if to suppress some kind of inner uneasiness.

"Is this really the team I'm familiar with? Is this really the result I want?" She murmured softly, her voice so soft that only she could hear it.

Ling Ruoxi, standing beside her, crossed her arms, a meaningful smile on her lips. With a hint of teasing in her eyes, she said softly, "Senior Sister Shen, the fun has just begun."
