Chapter 137 A Final Battle

The sky over the Chaos Realm remained gray, with occasional beams of psychic energy streaking across the distant battlefield, exploding into a brilliant rain of light. This digitized virtual battlefield was filled with death and cruelty, with wreckage strewn across the ground, and the air seemed to be filled with the cold smell of numbers.

Hakuzo maneuvered his mech, silently weaving through the post-war ruins. The psychic scans on the screen constantly updated, revealing the distribution of nearby loot. His mech's movements were light and nimble, like a cunning rat, searching the shadows of the ruins for scattered treasures.

"Tsk, these guys just run away after the fight, not even willing to do the work of picking up trash." Bai Zang sneered as he bent over to pick up a broken psychic core while controlling the mecha. "It seems that these big guys are really born prodigals."

The list of loot on the screen gradually grew, and his mood eased slightly. A complete psionic module, two intact weapon components, and a few randomly dropped small treasure chests. While these items weren't worth much, for Bai Zang, accumulating small amounts to make a big difference was the key to survival.

However, he didn't know that a bigger trouble had quietly arrived.

Suddenly, the alarm of the mecha system sounded shrilly, and the data on the screen flashed a dangerous red light.

"High-risk signal approaching! Target locked, codename: Gu Master."

The cold, mechanical sound echoed across the battlefield, as if an invisible hand had fiercely gripped Bai Zang's throat. He quickly raised his head, and the radar signal on the screen stung his eyes.

Three Jindan-class virtual AI mechas slowly descended from the sky, each shrouded in a powerful psychic glow. Their arm blades glowed coldly, their psychic turrets already angled and pointed in Bai Zang's direction.

"What the hell is this?" Bai Zang gritted his teeth and swiped his finger across the screen, trying to retrieve the other party's detailed data. However, the screen only displayed a cold "Data Encryption" logo, nothing else.

"Fuck!" Bai Zang cursed, quickly pushing the mech into full speed mode and speeding towards the nearest ruins. The mech's jets roared sharply, and a long trail of flames trailed behind it.

The AI mecha behind him pursued without hesitation. Its psychic turrets began to spin, and beams whizzed out from the muzzles, accurately locking onto Bai Zang's mecha. A beam grazed his mecha's shoulder and then exploded on the ground, stirring up a shower of rubble and psychic sparks.

"Damn, they're really coming for me!" Bai Zang's heart was pounding like thunder, and a layer of cold sweat broke out on his forehead. He stared at the countdown mark on the screen, his fingers frantically operating on the control panel, trying to use psychic smoke bombs to disrupt the enemy's tracking signal.

However, those AI mechas, as if possessing extraordinary intelligence, completely ignored the interfering smoke and continued to pursue him. Bai Zang had never felt so close to death.

"Stop chasing me! I'm just a poor guy. You are looking for those big guys, not me!" Bai Zang shouted into the communication channel while operating the mecha to move around in the ruins.

The communication channel was dead silent, with no response. The only answer was another psychic beam that streaked past at an extremely dangerous angle, nearly severing half of his mech's tail.

"Damn it, they're really going all-out!" Bai Zang growled, his eyes quickly scanning the radar. He noticed an even denser area of ruins ahead, littered with collapsed buildings and the wreckage of broken mechas. If he could hide there for a while, there might be a glimmer of hope.

He cranked the mech's power to maximum, practically pressing himself against the seat. The mech's speed reached its limit, and even the virtual light screen began to tremble slightly.

"Faster, faster!" he muttered, watching his pursuers from the corner of his eye. Three AI mechs approached like the Grim Reaper, their psychic turrets' beams exploding around him again and again, their powerful shockwaves shaking his mech.

Finally, he rushed into the ruined area. The wreckage of the tall buildings acted as a natural barrier, blocking some of the beams of light. Hakuzo quickly maneuvered the mech into a narrow gap, held his breath, and shut down the mech's psychic engine.

The thermal scan on the screen showed three AI mechas slowly circling above the ruins, seemingly searching for him. Bai Zang stared at the screen, not daring to make a sound.

A few minutes later, the three AI mechas seemed to have determined that their target had vanished and finally left the ruins. Bai Zang breathed a sigh of relief and slumped down in his mecha seat, his helmet nearly soaked with sweat from his forehead.

"Who sent these lunatics?" He gasped and whispered to himself.

Despite being in such a state of disgrace, Bai Zang still had a stubborn sneer on his face: "The Chaos Region, can you still make me, Bai Zang, fall? You are still far from it."

On the battlefield of the Chaos Realm, a low psychic energy wave permeated the digitized ruins. Bai Zang's mech, like a dying prey, dove back and forth between the pursued enemies. His palms were covered in sweat, but his mind remained remarkably calm. He knew he was no match for these Jindan-level AI mechs. His only recourse was his hidden, murderous "Gu."

"Want to kill me? You'll have to pay a price." Bai Zang gritted his teeth, pressed the bright red button on the control panel, and whispered, "Full Gu mode, activate!"

Instantly, psychic runes surged wildly across the mech's screen. The code streams of poison and insect poison came alive, transforming into dense swarms of tiny insects, crawling towards the enemy along the psychic waves. The invasion progress bar on the screen climbed rapidly, and every second felt like a race against death.
