The image of the spiritual realm gradually cleared. Xiang Fan, piloting the Zero Mech, slowly descended into a fog-shrouded area. The mech's hull shimmered faintly in the intertwined mist, like a lost ghost. The surroundings felt dreamlike. A few withered trees, their branches reaching upwards, seemed to utter a millennium of sorrow to the heavens. The damp bluestones of the ground formed a mottled path, and faint glimmers of light flickered between the cracks, as if guiding one to some wondrous destination.
A light fragrance permeated the air, soothing that it almost made him want to collapse on the ground and meditate. Xiang Fan snorted in the virtual cockpit, muttering to himself, "Impressive! The psychic network here can even simulate aromas. Why does this smell a bit like barbecue? Could it be poison gas?" He quickly switched on the mecha's internal filtration system, fearing he might become some kind of spiritual beast's dinner due to negligence.
"This place is really a bit strange." Xiang Fan sighed as he controlled the mecha to move forward cautiously, tapping his fingers on the control panel from time to time, for fear of triggering some strange mechanism.
The fog gradually thinned, revealing an open area ahead. Suddenly, a hot spring pool loomed before him. The water was crystal clear, shimmering a faint blue hue. Amidst the mist, it looked as if fairies were ascending from the water. Xiang Fan rubbed his eyes and muttered, "This place is quite dreamy. I almost believed it was a fairyland."
Next to the hot spring pool, a neat row of file racks came into view. They emanated a soft white light, and upon them were densely packed rolls of psychic image balls. Each one was numbered and emitted a faint glow, as if beckoning him, "Come, uncover our secrets."
Xiang Fan's eyes lit up instantly as he looked at the image balls. He quickly maneuvered his mech closer to the file rack and carefully scanned the numbers. His lips curled up unconsciously, "This place is definitely a treasure trove! While the Shadow Killer may have a strange temper, he finally didn't lie to me this time."
He casually picked up a video ball from the file rack. Auras swirled within the ball, like a dazzling meteor shower. The words "Red Flame Crystal" were clearly labeled on the ball, and Xiang Fan was instantly overjoyed: "God has mercy on me! This time, I've really hit the jackpot!"
He frantically activated the mecha's storage function, downloading the contents of the image balls one by one. The mecha's storage compartment eagerly devoured the psychic information of the light balls. The download progress bar advanced bit by bit. Xiang Fan felt like he was harvesting a mountain of gold, and every second was particularly enjoyable.
While downloading, he jokingly said, "This spiritual realm is quite thoughtful. They even have an archive. What a great service! Will you bring me a cup of tea next time?"
The mist around the hot spring grew softer, and Xiang Fan even felt the urge to shed his mech and jump right into the pool for a soak. He couldn't help but reach out and knock on the inside of the mech. "Zero Point, is there a hot spring detection function? Should I consider adding a bathing mode?"
The Zero Mech ignored him. Xiang Fan shrugged and muttered to himself, "Machines just don't have any sense of humor. Unlike me, I'm naturally romantic and humorous."
However, just as the download began, a silver bell-like laughter came from a distance.
The silvery laughter beside Xiang Fan's ear plucked his nerves like a string, causing him to jump suddenly. He quickly slid his fingers, activating the mech's optical camouflage function. The Zero-Point mech instantly became invisible, blending into the surroundings. Carefully holding his breath, he extended the mech's main detector out from behind the file rack, trying to locate the source of the sound.
Deep within the mist, the figures gradually became clearer. Their steps were light and graceful, like a group of lifelike fairies stepping out of a painting. Xiang Fan's eyes widened, and he felt his breathing become rapid, but he dared not make a sound.
These women wore veils as thin as morning mist, as thin as a lake bathed in sunlight, revealing a subtle beauty as they trembled. Auras shimmered across the hems of their skirts, framing the undulating curves of their breasts like snow-capped mountaintops, revealing an indescribable softness. Their steps were like a silent melody, their ankles slender as tender spring twigs, and with each step, their skirts swung in an elegant arc, flowing and airy.
A woman tilted her head slightly, her long hair flowing like black silk in the mist, its sheen and warmth like the Milky Way twinkling in the night sky. Her shoulders, exposed, round and smooth, as if carved from ivory, her slender waist swaying like a willow branch in the wind. She gently covered her red lips with a ringing laugh, like a spring breeze jingling bells.
"The hot springs here are indeed well-deserved of their reputation." A woman said in a soft voice, with a touch of laziness and satisfaction in her voice, like honey melting in warm water.
"Yes, after a busy day, I can finally relax." The other woman smiled as brightly as the first blooming flowers in spring, and her fingers gently untied the ribbon on her shoulders.
As the veil fell, her skin was as white as fresh snow, and the curve of her breasts loomed in the mist, like two mountain peaks surrounded by clouds, hazy and full of attraction. The moment the veil slipped, the graceful figures by the pool emerged one after another, their shoulders like crescent moons, waists like slender willow branches, and legs long and straight, as if they were the masterpieces of elves.
Xiang Fan swallowed hard and quickly raised his hand to cover his eyes, but he couldn't help but peek through his fingers. His throat felt dry as if it were on fire, but he could only desperately tell himself in his heart, "Don't look! Absolutely not! ...But how can they be so beautiful?"
