Chapter 91: Supreme Forgetfulness

In the sect's Dharma Transmission Hall, a dense aura enveloped the entire venue, like a veil of celestial mist, adding an even more solemn and awe-inspiring atmosphere. Shen Tianshu sat in the center, his pristine white robe spread out, his entire figure as untouchable as a flower perched high on a mountaintop. The surrounding magic formations emanated a gentle glow, and the spirit stones were arranged in such an orderly fashion that any disciple's eyes would be filled with envy.

Chu Yang stood at the back of the crowd, squeezing his head forward to look. His mouth was so full that it could almost fit a spiritual fruit. "How did this kid manage to build a foundation? This is too unreasonable!" His tone was tinged with envy and jealousy. "Does good-looking mean that people can cultivate faster?"

A disciple nearby couldn't help but laugh out loud: "Do you think this is a world where looks matter? Even if looks matter, you're not qualified." Chu Yang rolled his eyes and didn't bother to pay attention.

Inside the hall, Shen Tianshu's face remained calm, his eyelids slightly lowered, as if everything was under his control. Spiritual energy flowed through him like a stream, steady and natural. His cultivation of the Supreme Forgetfulness Art now revealed a tremendous advantage. His mind was clear, emotionless, and desireless, even the inner demonic tribulation was effortlessly bypassed, without a single ripple.

"Buzz—"

With a low vibration, Shen Tianshu's spiritual light suddenly brightened, and the spiritual energy vortex around him quickly dissipated. He slowly opened his eyes, and his eyes revealed a hint of indifference that was no different from usual, as if he had just woken up from a nap.

"Done?" Chu Yang's eyes widened like bells, and he couldn't help but shout, "This is too fast! He just sat down not long ago, and this guy has already established his foundation? Is he cheating or using cheats?"

"Shh, keep your voice down, don't let anyone hear you." Xiang Fan patted his shoulder, looking helpless.

"I just don't accept it!" Chu Yang said with a look of grievance, "Why is it that building a foundation is as easy as drinking water for others, but I have to wait for half a day to even make a breakthrough?"

A nearby disciple couldn't help but add, "How dare you say that? You're stuck in breaking through a small bottleneck in Qi training, and you really have the nerve to envy others building their foundation?"

Chu Yang rolled his eyes in anger, muttering, "How unsportsmanlike! If you want to attack someone, you should choose a suitable occasion!"

Shen Tianshu stood up and bowed to the Dharma Transmission Elder, saying calmly, "Thank you for your guidance, Elder. I have fulfilled your mission and have successfully established my foundation."

The Dharma Master stroked his beard, a kind smile on his face. "Very good, very good. Shen Tianshu has established his foundation this time with the Supreme Forgetfulness Technique. The process was pure and without calamity, truly exemplary." He turned to look at his disciples and said earnestly, "You all must understand that the greatest benefit of traditional cultivation is that it cultivates both the inner and the outer, without relying on external things. Once you reach the state of forgetfulness, inner demons will have no place to grow, and establishing your foundation will follow naturally."

The elder paused, his tone growing deeper. "But remember, not everyone can be completely heartless and desireless. Those with deep obsessions and excessive emotional entanglements often lose themselves in the calamity of the inner demons, even becoming possessed and losing their lives."

The disciples nodded when they heard this. Some seemed to be thinking about something, while others lowered their heads in silence, as if they were beginning to reflect on whether they might have stepped into the "hell of inner demons".

Chu Yang approached Xiang Fan and said in a low voice, "Brother, for people like us who are so burdened with emotional debts, is it true that we will never be able to build our foundation in our lifetime?"

Xiang Fan couldn't help but laugh: "Do you have so many debts of love? Who lent them to you?"

Chu Yang said confidently, "You don't understand. These days, the inner monologues of single people could fill a whole book. If I practice the Forget Love Technique, all these debts will be forgiven. It's a guaranteed win!"

Xiang Fan patted his shoulder, his tone teasing: "Then you should quickly go find Shen Tianshu to become his disciple and learn his expression of 'I have nothing to do with everything'."

Chu Yang thought for a moment, then immediately put on a cool demeanor, his hands clasped behind his back, as if the entire Yunxuan Star rested at his feet. Unfortunately, before he could last more than three seconds, he was interrupted by a smirking disciple next to him: "Chu Yang, that expression on your face looks more like someone just got scammed out of their spirit stones."

"Hmph, you don't understand, this is called temperament!" Chu Yang shook his sleeves and resumed his joking manner, muttering, "Maybe one day I really achieve foundation building, and then you guys will have to flatter me!"

Xiang Fan stood at the end of the crowd, silently watching Shen Tianshu in the hall. The man had just successfully established his foundation, and now standing there, he seemed to be emitting an invisible radiance, so dazzling that people dared not look directly at him. As Xiang Fan watched, he couldn't help but sigh softly: "Foundation building... If only one day, I could also establish a foundation."

Looking down, he found himself clutching a stack of mecha theory notes, and next to it, his rusted, dilapidated mecha. He smiled helplessly, "With my current conditions, I'm not sure if I can even make it past the Qi training stage, let alone the foundation building stage... it's just a pipe dream."

Chu Yang patted Xiang Fan's shoulder from behind, his voice carrying an inappropriate cheer: "Xiang Fan, what are you daydreaming about? I just spun around several times, and you didn't even notice my impressive maneuvering. What a shame!"

Xiang Fan was startled and quickly hugged the notebook tightly: "Chu Yang, be careful, don't break the mecha's legs again."

Chu Yang rolled his eyes. "Hey, why are you always focusing on this little mistake of mine? Okay, let's talk about something serious. Do you think we've taken the wrong road?"

Xiang Fan gave him a puzzled look: "What do you mean?"

Chu Yang pursed his lips at Shen Tianshu, who was chatting with the disciples not far away. "Look at that guy. He's in the Foundation Establishment stage now. His aura is different, isn't it? He looks so tall and majestic, and even walks like he's treading on clouds of immortality. What about us? We've been repairing mechas every day, and the spirit stones we burn are almost as high as the Flaming Mountain in the sect's accounting office, and we haven't even broken through to the Qi Condensation stage!"

Xiang Fan couldn't help but laugh: "Mechas are pretty good too, at least they can protect themselves."
