Shadow Killer's voice rang out over the communication channel: "I've successfully attracted the attention of two AI mechas, but don't praise me too soon. This guy has quite a bit of firepower, and I might not be able to hold out for long. Boss, how are things going over there?"
The Xuanwu guard responded steadily, his massive shield vibrating harshly under the energy beam. He said in a deep voice, "Just try not to get yourself killed. I'll block the back."
Zero's mech glided forward, rapidly adjusting the on-screen map. He calmly stated, "The core area is 150 meters ahead, but the problem is the patrol range of that Jindan-class AI mech. We have to go around it from the right."
Ling Ruoxi's drone flew back quickly, her voice tense and rapid: "Pay attention to the right, the patrol route of that mecha has changed! Shadow Killer, you're in danger!"
Shadow Killer laughed and replied, "Don't worry, I'm tough!" He maneuvered the mech into a nimble roll, narrowly avoiding an energy bomb, and then slid into cover. "Xuanwu, help me! Don't let my glorious image be ruined here!"
"Your glorious image? It doesn't exist." The Black Tortoise Guard raised his shield and took the remaining energy attack head-on. He said calmly, "Boss, don't dawdle. This firepower is quite painful."
Zero ignored their banter and quickly operated his mech. His mech slid against the wall, finally leading the team into the core area.
The scene in the core area brought a brief moment of silence to everyone. Gigantic data towers reached the sky, each adorned with complex runes and technological radiance, emanating a mystical aura that didn't belong to this era.
Ling Ruoxi couldn't help but sigh: "These things... completely surpass the scope of traditional cultivation. This is the world of high-tech cultivation."
Zero's mech slowly approached the data tower. As he attempted to connect, he whispered, "The design information for this energy core is far more complex than the previous drawings I studied. It's on a completely different level."
Shadow Killer urged in the chat: "Get to the point, can you bring it back? If this thing doesn't work, I'm going to explode."
Zero decoded it quickly, then paused. "Sure! But it'll take time to download, and the data is massive. I'll need to analyze it slowly when I get back."
The Xuanwu guard observed the surroundings and warned, "During the download process, the alarm is likely to be triggered. We must be prepared to meet the enemy."
Before he finished speaking, Zero started downloading data, and a huge progress bar slowly appeared. A few seconds later, the entire core area suddenly turned red, and a piercing alarm suddenly sounded.
Ling Ruoxi immediately shouted, "The alarm has been triggered! Several AI mechas are heading our way!"
The Shadow Killer was not at all flustered: "It's good that you're here. We can't let all our efforts be in vain!" His mecha dived directly towards the oncoming patrol mecha and nimbly dodged two energy cannons.
The Xuanwu guard raised his shield to block the attack and said calmly, "Zero, how long will you take?"
Zero's fingers moved rapidly, his eyes fixed on the progress bar without blinking: "It will take at least two more minutes."
"Two minutes?" Ling Ruoxi threw a series of interfering flying swords from a distance, but couldn't help but complain: "Boss, are you racing against time?"
"I can't help it. The amount of data is too large." Zero's voice was calm, but there was a hint of nervousness in his tone. "I'll try to be as fast as possible. Just hold on!"
The Shadow Killer, driving his mecha, once again attracted the attention of a patrol mecha, and he didn't forget to tease, "Don't worry, Boss, I can handle this little situation. Xuanwu, block the artillery fire from behind me!"
"Shut up and focus." The Xuanwu guard knocked back another mecha with a shield, his tone as steady as ever.
Ling Ruoxi was roaming in the distance, using her flying sword to continuously disrupt the enemy mecha's vision. "Shadow Killer, move a little to the left! That mecha's firepower is almost concentrated on you!"
"Got it, got it." The Shadow Killer's mech nimbly rolled sideways, narrowly avoiding the energy cannon, while muttering, "Sister Ling, you're really good at using your flying sword. Lend it to me next time!"
Ling Ruoxi responded coldly: "We'll talk about it if you can get out alive!"
At this moment, Zero looked at the progress bar on the screen that was gradually approaching completion, and prayed silently in his heart: "Faster...Faster!"
The AI mecha's firepower poured down like a torrential downpour, suffocating Team Zero. The Xuanwu Guard's shield was blasted with sparks, and cracks on the surface were clearly visible. He gritted his teeth and shouted, "Zero, faster! My shield is going to be scrapped!"
Cold sweat streamed down Zero's forehead, but his hands moved without hesitation: "30 seconds left! Hold on!"
The Shadow Killer drove his mecha around to the back of an AI mecha, laughing excitedly: "Haha, look at grandpa showing me some amazing skills!" As soon as he finished speaking, his energy blade accurately pierced into the opponent's power system, cutting off the entire mecha's ability to move.
"Boss, stop dawdling. Let's run away as soon as we finish downloading! I have a feeling these pieces of iron will call their relatives at any time!" The Shadow Killer's voice was filled with a hint of nervousness.
The moment the download was complete, Zero quickly closed all operating interfaces and shouted, "Run!"
Upon hearing the command, the team turned and ran without a word. Ling Ruoxi's mecha provided cover from behind, using flying swords to disrupt the pursuit routes of several AI mechas. However, just as they had run out of the core area, the red alarm light at the end of the passage suddenly flashed, and a huge Jindan-level AI mecha suddenly appeared, wielding a giant energy sword, and coldly blocked their way.
