The next day, Qin's mother, Su Fei, and Qu's sister-in-law took the two children out shopping.
Gu Niansi was very excited throughout the journey.
"Pretty grandma, where are we going to play later?" To distinguish between the two grandmas, Gu Niansi called Qin's mother "pretty grandma" and Su Fei "gentle grandma."
Qin's mother smiled when she heard her address.
"You can go wherever you want, okay?"
Gu Niansi nodded slightly.
"Okay, thank you, beautiful grandma. May we go to the amusement park in the mall?"
Qin's mother chuckled softly.
"Of course you can, go with your brother."
Gu Niansi, sitting in the back seat, immediately took Shen Zhifan's hand, looked up at him earnestly, and spoke.
"Brother, let's go together later."
Shen Zhifan nodded steadily.
"good."
Upon arriving at the mall's parking garage, Qin's mother searched for a suitable parking space. After everyone got out of the car, they went to the elevator that led directly to the mall.
Sophie knew the two children's favorite places, so she took them straight there.
Qin's mother looked at the price marked on it.
"30 yuan a time is acceptable."
I looked up at the waiter again.
"Hello, we are two children playing, so there are 60 pairs in total, right?"
The waitress was a young lady.
"Yes, you can scan the code here."
Qin's mother took out her phone and paid 60 yuan. The two children took off their shoes and socks at the door, put on disposable socks, and went inside.
The three of them sat around the fence chatting, their eyes occasionally glancing towards the area where the two children were.
"Xiao Wan, Aunt Qu, what would you like to eat for lunch?"
Aunt Qu looked at Sophie, who glanced at her and smiled, "Let's ask the children later."
Qin's mother pursed her lips and nodded.
"good."
Mr. Leng accompanied Mrs. Leng to the mall today. They spoke only intermittently, their conversation sounding somewhat subdued. Mrs. Leng looked towards the amusement park ahead and stood by the railing, gazing at it. Mr. Leng sighed helplessly beside her.
If their son hadn't died, their grandchildren might be this age by now.
Gu Niansi, who was playing in the sand, brought her toys over to the adults.
"Beautiful grandma, gentle grandma, Grandma Qu, look at my toys. My brother has some too."
Qin's mother smiled indulgently and spoke to Gu Niansi.
"Okay, go play with your brother." It's a rare opportunity to get out and have some fun.
Leng's mother watched for a long time. Leng's father noticed that she was staring at the other side and looked over in confusion. He found that it was two children playing together.
"These two children are quite clean-looking."
Hearing her husband's words, Leng's mother couldn't help but laugh.
"Yes, the girl is cute and the boy is handsome." How wonderful it would be if they were their grandchildren.
Upon hearing his wife's words, Mr. Leng lowered his head, pursed his lips, and sighed. Not wanting her to continue thinking about unhappy things, he suggested that they go for a walk.
Let's go for a walk.
Mr. Leng embraced Mrs. Leng, turning back every three steps to look at the amusement park. Mrs. Qin turned around, her gaze inadvertently sweeping over the backs of Mr. and Mrs. Leng before averting her eyes.
Tired from playing, the two left the amusement park and walked hand in hand to Qin's mother and the others.
When Qin's mother saw that the two children had come out on their own, she exclaimed in surprise.
"Hey, what brings you guys out? Aren't you going to play anymore?"
Shen Zhifan nodded slightly.
"Grandma, my sister and I are tired from playing."
Sophie looked at the two children.
"Niannian, Fanfan, let's go wash our hands." Our hands are still quite dirty after touching so many things.
The two nodded, and Sophie and Aunt Qu each led one of them to the bathroom. Gu Niansi went to the lowest sink, stretched out her chubby little hand, and the faucet automatically sensed and dispensed water. Then Gu Niansi squeezed some hand soap next to her, rubbed her hands together to create foam, and then put them under the faucet to sense the water.
Shen Zhifan washed his hands quickly by himself and took the tissues handed to him by Aunt Qu to dry them.
"I'm all better now."
The two looked at Gu Niansi, who was still diligently rinsing, and Shen Zhifan couldn't help but start lecturing her.
"Little sister, that's enough, don't waste water."
When Gu Niansi heard her brother talking about her, she wasn't angry at all and obediently responded.
"Okay, brother."
Sophie took out a tissue and handed it to her.
"Thank you, Grandma."
The two siblings then walked hand in hand to Qin's mother, who was overjoyed to see them.
"You're all washed up! Let's go have lunch. What would you like to eat, ladies and gentlemen?"
Gu Niansi's adorable expression as she looked up and pondered intently was incredibly endearing to passersby.
"That little kid is so cute."
"What an adorable child."

Gu Niansi, beaming with joy after receiving everyone's praise, looked even more adorable.
"I want to eat hamburgers, fries, fried chicken, and cola." I haven't had that in a long time.
Sophie refused immediately upon hearing this.
"Niannian, those foods aren't good for children. Let's eat something else, okay?"
Gu Niansi looked up at Qin's mother, and her pitiful appearance immediately softened Qin's mother's heart.
"Okay, I'll light some for you and your brother, and then the grandmas can find something they like, okay?"
Sophie immediately refused upon hearing this.
"Sister, fried foods are not suitable for children to eat often."
"Oh, it's okay to have it once in a while. We should always give in to the kids' little wishes from time to time."
Qin's mother led one child by the hand and walked towards McDonald's.
Sophie shook her head helplessly, and Aunt Qu smiled and comforted her.
"It's nothing, it just happens occasionally. Let's go, Sister Fei."
The two followed.
The two children, having satisfied their hunger, ate with great joy.
"Brother, I want a sip of Coke."
Sophie immediately spoke up upon hearing this.
"Fanfan, you can only give your little sister a small sip."
