Feeling bored in the hospital, Shen Shi called her husband to complain.
"Honey, I don't want to stay in the hospital anymore."
Standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, Qin Ziming spoke helplessly upon hearing his wife's words.
"Then I'll pick you up after get off work and take you home."
Upon hearing that she was finally no longer in the hospital, Shen Shiyi responded happily.
"Thank you, honey."
Upon hearing her gratitude, Qin Ziming's gentle and refined face curved into a smile.
"Honey, aren't you going to do something for me?"
Shen Shiyi was taken aback, then realized what he had said, and her face turned red.
"I've only been awake for a short while, what are you thinking about?"
Qin Ziming felt wronged.
"I wasn't thinking anything, it's just that you haven't kissed me in a long time."
Upon hearing his explanation, Shen Shiyi's face turned bright red.
"profound."
Qin Ziming quickly realized what was happening and started joking around.
"Honey, have you misunderstood something?"
"without."
"I don't believe you. If you want, I can do it too. Don't worry, even though your husband hasn't used it for a few months, he's still capable."
Hearing his increasingly explicit words, Shen Shiyi hung up the phone shyly. Seeing the call had ended, she looked somewhat uncomfortable.
"Hmph, as expected, they're animals that think with their lower bodies."
I think about those things all the time.
Seeing his wife hang up the phone without hesitation, Qin Ziming couldn't help but laugh.
A few minutes later, he decided to give the order.
Ji Xuanchen, who was waiting outside the door, received a phone call. He looked down and saw it was his boss, so he quickly answered it.
"Hey, Boss."
"We'll pick up the young mistress tonight and take her home. In the meantime, try to keep her from getting bored."
Ji Xuanchen was stunned.
After Qin Ziming hung up the phone, the other three looked at him.
"What did the boss say?"
Ji Xuanchen pursed his lips.
"The boss said he would take the young mistress home tonight, so we'll try to keep her from getting bored in the meantime."
The three of them were taken aback.
"Not so boring?"
What can be done?
Unable to think of any other solutions, Chen Tinghai and the other two decided to approach Ji Xuanchen.
"Why don't we buy a deck of cards and play a game with the young mistress to pass the time?"
Ji Xuanchen nodded after hearing this.
"Okay, let's do it this way. Go and buy it."
Chen Tinghai nodded solemnly, "I'm going."
The three watched him leave, and Lu Qinzhou looked up at Ji Xuanchen.
"Will this work? What if the young mistress doesn't like it or isn't interested?"
Upon seeing this, Su Chenghe pursed his lips and spoke.
"How about we ask the young mistress?"
Lu Qinzhou and Ji Xuanchen nodded in unison, and Su Chenghe pushed open the door and entered.
"Young Madam, let's play a card game later. We'll stick notes on the cards, but we won't gamble."
Because of the special nature of their young mistress's job, she is not allowed to gamble.
While watching videos out of boredom, Shen Shiyi looked up at the tall and imposing Su Chenghe.
"OK."
God knows she's been so bored these past two days, staying in the hospital feels like being in prison.
Chen Tinghai returned very quickly, bringing back the playing cards.
"I'm back."
All four of them looked at him at the same time.
Chen Tinghai took a long stride and continued walking closer, placing the playing cards he had bought on the coffee table.
"How can we play with five people?"
Upon hearing this, the three of them all looked at Shen Shiyi on the hospital bed.
"Let's go together, let's go to the coffee table."
Upon hearing this, Ji Xuanchen quickly reached out to support her.
"Slow down."
"Phew, finally I can get out of bed and walk around. Hey, you guys hurry up and shuffle the cards."
She's so bored she's practically turning into mold.
Su Chenghe explained the rules while shuffling the cards.
"We'll play a game called 'Train.' When we encounter a sequence of numbers and letters that are the same, we take the middle one and put it in our hand. When we encounter a 'J,' we take the whole thing out. The loser has to stick a note on their sleeve each time. Do you understand?"
Ji Xuanchen glanced at him and nodded.
When he looked at her, Shen Shiyi calmly nodded.
"Okay, let's begin."
Su Chenghe began dealing the cards one by one, and the game officially started once everyone had received their cards.
Lu Qinzhou glanced at the coffee table and said, "I'll go first."
Then came Chen Tinghai and Ji Xuanchen sitting on the right, followed by Shen Shiyi and Su Chenghe.
After several rounds, Lu Qinzhou had the upper hand, and Shen Shiyi began to get nervous as she saw that she was running out of cards.
All eyes turned to her, and under their gazes, Shen Shiyi placed the last card on the table.
The other four looked at the coffee table, and when Shen Shiyi picked it up, they were all surprised.
"Damn it, J."
Shen Shiyi was startled, then reached out and took them all with delight.
"Haha, sorry, I have to take them all."
Everyone was incredibly surprised, their eyes following the cards on the coffee table to Shen Shiyi's hands.
Qin Ziming came over after get off work and heard a lively noise inside. He pushed open the door in confusion.
What are you doing?
At this point, everyone had posted some kind of note, with Shen Shiyi having the fewest.
Seeing this, Qin Ziming couldn't help but laugh out loud.
"Such a childish moment for adults."
Upon hearing this, the five people gave an awkward smile. To ease the awkward atmosphere, Shen Shiyi spoke gently to her husband.
Why don't you come and play for a while?
Qin Ziming's gaze swept across the faces of the other four people, and finally he nodded with amusement.
"OK."
Shen Shiyi handed him the playing cards in her hand.
"Let's get started."
In the end, Qin Ziming lost the least, but had the most paper strips stuck to his face.
Seeing her husband dressed in a suit and tie, with his face covered in notes, she couldn't help but chuckle and tease him.
