My best friend in the world must be Nangong Zixin. After so many years, she has remained loyal and devoted. As the saying goes, "To have one true friend in life is enough," and there is indeed truth to that.
After Nangong Zixin finished hitting Li's mother, she hugged Shen Shiyi tightly.
She had suffered so much, but what could she say at this moment? She seemed so powerless.
It's all her fault. Why didn't she notice something was wrong with her sooner? Otherwise, none of this would have happened.
Li's parents didn't know how they left the military region. Sitting in prison, Li Xinye couldn't eat or sleep properly.
He muttered to himself, "One more day." And that day finally arrived.
Outside the prison, Qin Ziming, who was speeding recklessly, opened the door of a military jeep, jumped out of the car, and strode towards the prison.
Li Xinye, you damned bastard, I'll make the rest of your life even more miserable than death.
What you owe Shiyi, I'll get back for her.
The police officer was so intimidated by his menacing and murderous aura that he was breathing rapidly.
Good heavens, another officer has arrived. Judging by his badge, he must be of high rank.
Good heavens, high-ranking official! We'd better notify the bureau chief immediately.
"Li Xinye." A roar startled Li Xinye from his reverie. He threw a powerful punch, knocking out several of his teeth.
He beat her while cursing, "Are you even human? You actually sent your parents to beg Shiyi. I don't know how you people can be so shameless... Haven't you hurt her enough? You have to rub salt into her wounds. I've never seen such a coward in my life. You shouldn't mess with your friend's wife, but you got her and you don't know how to cherish her. I'll beat you to death, you heartless bastard!"
After a full 20 minutes of fighting, Li Xinye lay on the ground, half-dead, barely clinging to life.
Qin Ziming's ruthless demeanor terrified the guards outside the iron gate, who dared not utter a sound.
That's fucking terrifying. Are all soldiers this tough?
From now on, I'll have to take a detour when I see soldiers, lest I accidentally offend them.
"Why hasn't the bureau chief arrived yet?" If the beating continues, someone could die, which, although a death sentence, is still within their jurisdiction.
We can't just stand by and watch something bad happen, but who dares to mess with the King of Hell? It's a lose-lose situation.
"You're asking me? Who am I supposed to ask?" Damn it.
After the two finished their whispered conversation, Qin Ziming also stopped fighting, giving them quite a scare.
The one who spoke first hurriedly stepped forward, "Brother, thank you for showing mercy, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to explain ourselves."
The implication is that, brother, you've vented your anger, and this guy is half-dead, so stop hitting him.
Qin Ziming regained his usual coldness, his military imposing presence undeniable. "Excuse me, brother, sorry to bother you."
He was indeed a bit reckless.
The two police officers breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing his answer.
When Director Zhang arrived, Qin Ziming was saying goodbye to two supervising police officers. He hurriedly went up to him and asked, "Nephew Qin, is the matter resolved? Is there anything I can help you with?"
A simple greeting can carry multiple meanings. On the surface, it's a friendly greeting, but on a deeper level, it's about building relationships and playing the emotional card, asking people to let it go for his sake.
The last sentence was purely a polite remark; he didn't want that person to actually die in prison, as he was directly responsible.
Qin Ziming shook hands with the visitor and greeted him, "Uncle Zhang, I'm sorry, I was a bit rash today. Please forgive me. I hope I haven't caused you any trouble."
Since they were being so polite and trying to build a relationship, he couldn't just reach out and greet them with a big smile.
There are still many things to learn in officialdom, and sometimes it's necessary to save face.
Director Zhang immediately felt relieved. "Not at all, my dear nephew, you're too kind. How about we go outside for a cup of tea?" he said politely.
"Thank you, but I'm very busy, so I'm afraid it will be inconvenient." This soldier is truly something else; despite his young age, his military bearing surpasses even his own.
It was almost suffocating for him. He's young and promising; just look at the sweat on his back.
Qin Ziming also knew that it was not advisable to stay any longer, otherwise he might faint in the middle of the game.
He gestured goodbye, saying, "Uncle Zhang, I'll be leaving now. I hope you can take good care of Ms. Mo Xuerong for me. Goodbye." Hmph, some things don't necessarily require my personal intervention.
Mo Xuerong, this is the price you deserve. Have a pleasant second night!
Shen Shiyi returned to her residence, opened the door, and strolled over with her blue feet.
The two people on the bed were sleeping peacefully.
Shen Zhifan's chubby little hands playfully dangled outside the blanket, while Li Yizhi's short little leg dangled out of the blanket.
The two were still face to face, with a fist's distance between them. Their adorable, blank expressions were so cute that they fully awakened her long-lost maternal instincts.
I gently bent down and kissed each baby's forehead once.
"My babies, I'm so glad to have you. Thank you for coming into my life." My little angels.
The sun was still shining brightly today, but it warmed people's hearts.
Such a beautiful moment, shouldn't she take a picture to commemorate it?
Without further ado, I picked up my phone, opened the beauty camera app, bent down, and took a family photo.
The two adorable babies are on the right, and I am on the far left. The photo is reversed because of the camera. This is their only photo together, and also their only family portrait.
The only regret is that the father is not in it.
After the day's farce, it's dinner time again, and everything is still the same as before, except for the gossip that was posted in the morning.
"I never imagined that our Colonel Shen would have such a tragic past." The young soldiers gossiped in groups.
