Chapter 71 Mom is not dead

When the doorbell rang, Sophie and Aunt Qu, who were cleaning the living room, looked at each other in surprise.

"That's strange, why is someone ringing our doorbell?"

After listening to Aunt Qu's words, Sophie went to the monitor in the entrance hall to check the surveillance footage outside. When she saw the person standing outside, she exclaimed in surprise.

"Poetic Memories?"

Aunt Qu, holding a rag, was completely stunned. "What? Shiyi?" Could the person standing outside the door be...?

Thinking of this, Aunt Qu hurriedly went to the entrance to check. When she saw the familiar figure, she covered her mouth in shock and looked at Su Fei.

The two people standing at the door were a little puzzled when no one came to open the door.

"You didn't bring your house key?"

Shen Shiyi shook her head. "I didn't think of that." If it weren't for her, she wouldn't have planned to go home at all.

Nangong Zixin sighed, "What should we do?"

Shen Shiyi awkwardly pursed her lips, took out her phone, and dialed Su Fei's number again. Su Fei, who had been in a daze and hadn't reacted yet, was suddenly pulled back to reality by her phone ringing.

Nangong Zixin and Shen Shiyi, who were outside the door, also heard the phone ringing and looked at each other suspiciously.

Seeing that it was Shiyi calling, Sophie didn't answer and opened the door directly. The moment their eyes met, Sophie couldn't help but cry.

"Child, you're still alive." She thought she had really died.

Fearing that it would cause unnecessary trouble, Nangong Zixin quickly spoke up.

"Let's go inside and talk."

Aunt Qu, realizing what was happening, quickly chimed in.

"Yes, yes, let's go inside and talk."

Shen Shiyi stepped forward to help Su Fei up. "Auntie, let's go inside and talk."

Sophie nodded slightly. "Okay."

The four entered the house and, not seeing the child, asked Shen Shiyi in confusion.

Where are the children?

Sophie, who had just sat down, choked up as she spoke, "They're sleeping. Should I go wake them?"

Shen Shiyi stopped them, saying, "No need, let them sleep. Let's chat for a while."

Sophie nodded slightly, and Nangong Zixin pulled out a few sheets of paper from the coffee table and handed them to Sophie.

"Auntie, wipe your tears."

Upon hearing this, Sophie smiled sheepishly and said, "I'm sorry, I've made you laugh."

At this moment, Aunt Qu poured two cups of mixed room temperature water.

"Have some water."

Nangong Zixin nodded slightly.

"Thanks."

After Sophie calmed down a bit, Shen Shiyi took the initiative to introduce Nangong Zixin.

"Auntie, Sister Qu, this is my good friend, Nangong Zixin."

He then gave a detailed introduction to Nangong Zixin.

"This is Aunt Su, and this is Sister Qu."

Nangong Zixin smiled slightly at the two of them.

"Hello, you can call me Zixin."

The two men smiled at her in a friendly manner.

A short while later, Shen Zhifan, who had been sleeping restlessly, woke up, looked around, and got out of bed. The moment he opened the door, everyone's eyes turned to the source of the commotion.

Completely stunned, he stared wide-eyed in surprise.

"Mom?" He rubbed his eyes repeatedly, then opened them again and immediately ran forward.

"Mother."

Shen Shiyi, who was suddenly hugged by her son, was violently struck.

"Mommy, is that you back?" Why does it feel so real when I hug you? Am I seeing a ghost in broad daylight?

Hearing her son's words, Shen Shiyi couldn't help but shed tears and gently patted her son's back.

"Silly boy, it's Mom."

Shen Zhifan was sobbing uncontrollably, and Shen Shiyi felt her shoulder was soaked with tears. She continued to gently pat her son's back, her tone very tender.

"Fanfan, let's not cry anymore, okay? Mommy will introduce you to a new auntie."

Shen Zhifan finally stopped crying and looked at her mother with a puzzled expression.

"A new nanny?"

He looked up and turned to look at the pretty aunt sitting next to him.

"Pretty auntie, are you my mom's best friend?"

Nangong Zixin laughed, "Honey, you actually know the word 'best friend'?"

Shen Zhifan smiled through his tears, "I know, I also know my brothers."

Everyone laughed upon hearing this.

Shen Shiyi was amused by her son's words. Seeing his comical face, she took out a few tissues and gently and carefully wiped away his tears.

After Shen Zhifan and Nangong Zixin became familiar with each other, Gu Niansi also woke up. Not seeing her brother in bed, she cried out in fear.

"Waaaaah..."

Upon hearing the crying, Sophie and Shen Shiyi immediately ran towards the bedroom, with Shen Shiyi moving even faster.

Aunt Qu also quickly got up, picked up Shen Zhifan, and walked over quickly.

Shen Shiyi quickly hugged the child to her arms and gently patted her back.

"Niannian, be good, Mommy's here."

Feeling her mother's warm embrace, Gu Niansi quickly calmed down, her little body twitching slightly.

"Good boy/girl."

After realizing what was happening, Gu Niansi slowly faced the person who was hugging her.

"Mom?" Didn't Grandma say that Mom had passed away?

"Mom, didn't you go to heaven?" Did she go to heaven too?

Sophie was both amused and exasperated. "Silly child, this is our home. There's no heaven here."

Gu Niansi looked around the room and saw that everyone except Nangong Zixin was a familiar face.

"Grandma, is this really Mom? Or is it a fairy sister in disguise?"

Nangong Zixin, who was standing to the side, burst out laughing.

"Haha, Shiyi, your two babies are so cute, one more adorable than the other." It's so funny.

Gu Niansi looked at Nangong Zixin, who was laughing heartily, and asked, "Pretty auntie, are you a fairy?"

Nangong Zixin was taken aback for a moment, then smiled.

"Sweetie, why did you say Auntie is a fairy?"

Gu Niansi looked at her mother and said, "Because you used magic to bring your mother to my side."
