"Mom, I'm home."
Upon hearing this, Qin's mother, who was watering the flowers, quickly poked her head out.
"Zimo's back. Are you hungry?"
Qin Ziming shook his head.
"I ate a lot of snacks at Aunt Qu's place."
Qin's mother was taken aback. "You went to see Shiyi?"
Qin Ziming shook his head. "She's not here. I've gone to see the two children."
Qin's mother nodded slightly.

The mother and son sat on the sofa, looking at each other.
