Academician Fang looked at Yu Kai's anxious expression and continued, "This mecha was carefully built for you. It won't run away. For the next two days, Yu Kai devoted himself to the study and practice of psychic energy, forgetting to eat or sleep. A beam of blue light shot from the mecha's eyes, a light that seemed to be tangible, scanning Yu Kai from head to toe, as if giving him a thorough and detailed scrutiny. A virtual screen instantly appeared in front of Yu Kai, its light flickering and dancing, imbued with a sense of technology.
"Hongmeng Mecha No. 1 is happy to serve you! Please enter your personal information to enter the registration verification!" A mechanical and cold voice came from the screen and echoed in the empty workshop.
Yu Kai shakily stepped forward, his heartbeat racing, his hands trembling with nervousness. He fiddled with the virtual screen, his fingers swiping across it as he entered his personal information.
"The identity information has been entered successfully. Welcome to become the owner of the Hongmeng No. 1 mecha! Would you like to enter the cockpit?" The mechanical voice sounded again.
Yu Kai looked at the people behind him. Under their encouraging eyes, Yu Kai took a deep breath and said firmly to the screen: "Enter!"
"Woo!" With a deep hum, the blue light in the mecha's eyes retracted, and its mouth slowly opened. A powerful magnetic force instantly focused on Yu Kai. His body slowly levitated, like a light feather, and flew towards its mouth.
Yu Kai felt his body light and fluttering. Soon, he was inside the mecha.
The mecha's interior was spacious, with large screens surrounding a central sphere of light. Data and images flickered on the screens like glittering stars. These screens offered a perfect view of everything around them. Yu Kai was transported into the central sphere of light, his heartbeat remarkably clear in the silence.
The mechanical voice sounded again, "It is detected that the owner has entered the cockpit. Do you want to activate the neural connection driving mode?" The voice echoed inside the mecha.
"Open!" Yu Kai stood inside the ball of light, which slowly lit up, a soft glow gradually enveloping him. He felt a perfect fusion of himself and the mecha, his every subtle movement accurately transmitted to the mecha, as if it were no different from his body. This wonderful feeling excited him immensely.
