Chapter 54: Opening up Internal Space

"Brother! Let's not go back, they are all hypocritical!" Niu Niu bit her lips, leaving a white mark on her pink lips. Her eyes showed firm opposition, and her little face turned red with anger.

"Niuniu, be good. I will protect you! I won't let you get hurt! You absorb the mutation bead, and I'll go recover!" Yu Kai looked at her gently, his eyes full of pampering and determination.

"Brother, absorb it. You need it the most now!" After saying that, Niu Niu eagerly handed the mutation bead to Yu Kai.

"No need. Just absorb it. Once you become stronger, no one can hurt you!" Yu Kai declined directly, his tone unyielding. He then sat cross-legged beside him, closed his eyes, and began to recover. His resolute profile appeared remarkably composed in the interplay of light and shadow.

Since Niuniu was quite reluctant to go back, Yu Kai didn't rush to leave. Instead, after his injuries healed, he asked Niuniu how she collected things. Her tiny body had hidden a whole floor of mutant beads, and he had no idea where she could put them, or how she had isolated the aura of the beads without being discovered by the tomb owner.

Niu Niu did not hide anything and told the story seriously, "Every time the tomb owner sent me out to snatch the mutant beads, I would be chased by them madly, and my speed would get faster and faster as I ran. I relied on my speed advantage and reaped a lot every time, but I didn't dare to absorb them rashly, for fear that the tomb owner would notice. But there was no place to store them, so I thought at the time, it would be great if I could open up a small space in my body to hide them!" Her eyes revealed the pain of memories and expectations for the future.

"When I thought of this, I tried it secretly. I first secretly tore a small hole in my stomach, endured the pain and stuffed the mutation bead in, and then let it heal. In this way, the mutation bead was hidden in my body." Yu Kai listened to her narration and couldn't help but admire her courage. His heart was even more sour. He touched her head tenderly, as if to soothe the pain she had suffered.

"Gradually, I stored more and more mutant beads, and this space was also absorbing the power of the mutant beads. Its space became larger and larger, and it could even accommodate a building. I don't know why the things that entered the space would shrink, and after being taken out, they would return to their original size. It's magical!" Niu Niu said seriously, with some confusion and doubt on her face. Her innocent look made people want to protect her.

Yu Kai said thoughtfully, "Niuniu, I think this may be due to the powerful energy contained in the mutation beads. When you hide them in your body, these energies produce a special reaction with your body, stimulating some unknown potential in your body, thus opening up this unique space.

The phenomenon of objects shrinking in space may be due to the existence of special rules or force fields in this space, which cause the molecular structure of the object to be compressed when entering, thus reducing its volume. When the object is taken out, it is out of this special environment and returns to its original size.

However, this is just my preliminary speculation, and the specific principles require further research and exploration. But no matter what, this is your unique magical ability."

Niu Niu nodded, not quite understanding, and said, "Brother, if I become stronger in the future, I can always be by your side and fight the bad guys with you." She clenched her little fists tightly, and her eyes flashed with determination.

Yu Kai smiled and said, "Yes, Niuniu, we will all become stronger and stronger."

"Let's go, I'll try and see if I can open up a small space. There's a shortage of supplies outside, let's see if I can take some out!" Yu Kai's eyes were firm, and he couldn't wait to start trying.

His words instantly made Niuniu frown, a flicker of displeasure etched across her face. "Brother, the world outside is full of unknown dangers. Leaving here is definitely not a wise move," she said anxiously. But seeing Yu Kai's unwavering resolve, she knew her persuasion would be futile. Helplessly, she quietly sat down beside him, rapidly absorbing the power of the mutation bead, increasing her own strength to better cope with any potential crisis.

Yu Kai held his breath, concentrating his mind and harnessing his spiritual energy to repeat Niuniu's method. After some effort, he was pleasantly surprised to discover that he had truly succeeded! He had successfully created a space within his body, allowing him to freely retrieve objects with his mind. This space within his body also allowed objects to be compressed, greatly increasing its storage capacity. He couldn't help but marvel at the mystery of spiritual energy.

He excitedly searched the entire city, collecting precious food and clean water into his inner space. He also discovered that Niuniu had grown considerably stronger. In particular, the large mutant chimpanzee's mutation bead had given her incredibly sharp claws and teeth as strong as steel. She now possessed immense strength, easily tearing through cars, demonstrating astonishing destructive power. Perhaps due to her enhanced self-preservation abilities, Niuniu was less reluctant to return to base.

After Yu Kai and Niuniu determined the direction, they headed back. On the way, they cooperated tacitly to kill all the mutant creatures they encountered. With each battle, their strength grew stronger.

Hearing the fierce gunfire and the roars of mutant creatures coming from the front, the two men's hearts tightened and they sped up. They saw several huge, majestic mutant tigers frantically attacking the defense line. These mutant tigers were sturdy, their fur standing up like steel needles, gleaming with a metallic luster. Their eyes were full of ferocity and violence. Each attack was like a thunderbolt, putting the defenders in a difficult position.

From the defensive line, laser cannons fired dazzling beams, blasting precisely at the mutant tigers. The lasers rubbed against the air, creating a sizzling sound, and wherever they passed, the air seemed to scorch. However, the mutant tigers were incredibly agile, leaping and dodging nimbly, their nimble bodies slicing arcs through the air. The occasional hit only scorched their fur, only to intensify their ferocity. They opened their bloody mouths and let out deafening roars.
