Chapter 72 Battle of the Golden Rooster

Yu Kai suddenly exerted force on his hands, lifting them upwards with a surge of powerful force. The two ferocious three-headed dogs were instantly hoisted high into the air, suspended in mid-air. Although the mecha had instantly grown in size, the three-headed dogs were incredibly ferocious. Their sharp teeth, like steel pliers, held onto the mecha tightly, showing no sign of letting go.

Yu Kai's eyes flashed cold, their gaze blazing like two bolts of lightning. He exerted his might once more, a force that seemed to rip the heavens apart, forcibly yanking the two three-headed dogs from their mechanical arms. Then, gripping the three-headed dogs, he launched his left and right arms with the force of thunder, smashing them down towards the mountain. His right arm descended first, accompanied by a deafening boom, like a landslide or tsunami. The entire Devil's Dog Ridge shook violently, as if the apocalypse had arrived. The surrounding dogs, instantly overwhelmed by this astonishing force, fled in panic, their fury trembling.

Then, his left arm slammed down with immense force. The impact was so powerful that the entire Evil Dog Ridge trembled violently, as if struck by a magnitude 10 earthquake. The two three-headed dogs were slammed into the ground by this unstoppable force, instantly creating two bottomless pits. Dust rose into the sky like a raging dragon. Their souls were fragile before this devastating force. They didn't even have time to scream before they transformed into countless shimmering particles of energy and dissipated in the biting wind.

Yu Kai was so powerful and ferocious that the other vicious dogs were terrified and became like frightened birds.

Yu Kai looked up at the Black and White Impermanence in the distance. He saw Black Impermanence with an expression of great interest. He pointed to the Golden Rooster Ridge ahead and said, "There are a few big chickens ahead. Do you want to go meet them?"

Yu Kai looked over and saw a mountain rising majestically not far away. Atop it, enormous golden roosters stood proudly, their heads held high and their chests puffed out, awe-inspiring. Their feathers gleamed with a strange and brilliant light in the dim light, like blazing golden flames. Their combs soared into the sky, a vibrant crimson, like the regal crowns of kings. Their sharp beaks, like daggers, gleamed with a chilling gleam that chilled the very air.

The giant chickens cackled incessantly, their eyes gleaming with cunning and ferociousness. Sometimes, they would whip their broad, powerful wings to whip up a chilling, biting wind, whistling past and blowing the ghosts ascending the mountain to and fro, leaving them in a state of disarray. Sometimes, they would swiftly claw at the ghosts with their sharp claws, instantly leaving deep wounds on their bodies, dimming their souls and causing agonizing howls. Some ghosts, chased by the giant chickens, fled in panic, like headless flies; others, mercilessly swatted to the ground by the giant chickens' wings, trembled in fear, their eyes filled with fear and despair.

Among these ghosts were the spirits of monks and demons. The monks' ghosts attempted to wield their spiritual powers to resist the giant chicken's attacks, but perhaps due to the damage to their spiritual powers after their death, their power was greatly reduced. They could only struggle to withstand the giant chicken's attacks and dodge with difficulty. The demons' ghosts, on the other hand, dodged left and right instinctively, the fear in their eyes evident.

In the eerie and unpredictable land of Jinji Ridge, most ghosts were utterly utterly defeated by the giant chicken's ferocious attacks. However, a rare few, blessed with good deeds in their lifetimes, escaped unmolested, seemingly blessed by the gods. Filled with gratitude for their survival, they hurried, not daring to pause, eager to escape this terrifying place as quickly as possible.

Yu Kai stood there, witnessing the giant chickens' brutal actions. His brow furrowed involuntarily, and a flash of murderous intent flashed in his deep eyes, then vanished in an instant. He took a deep breath, and with a subtle movement of his mind, he controlled the enormous mecha. Like a moving steel fortress, it slowly advanced deeper into the depths of Jinji Ridge. Each step he took felt like a tremendous force, and the solid ground trembled in fear of the overwhelming power.

Over there, several giant chickens, their bodies as majestic as small hills, instantly sensed Yu Kai's approach. Their necks suddenly stretched out, their eyes flashed with a fierce gleam, and their claws like gleaming cold blades swooped down from mid-air, aiming directly at Yu Kai. Their ferocity was so strong that it seemed as if they would not stop until Yu Kai was completely torn apart.

Yu Kai showed no fear, his eyes calm and resolute, like a bottomless, cold pond. Just as the chickens swooped in, he extended his sturdy right arm like lightning and snatched one of the chickens with uncanny precision. Then, his left arm grasped the chicken's wings and, exerting a sudden force, the mech strained. With a chilling "crack," the chicken was instantly torn in two, dissolving into countless particles of energy that dissipated into the icy air.

Seeing their companions' plight, the remaining giant chickens didn't retreat. Instead, they pounced on Yu Kai's mech with even greater ferocity. Their claws, like hooks, clenched the mech's hull, each sharp nail digging deeply into the metal, emitting a blinding cold gleam. Simultaneously, their razor-sharp beaks rained down on Yu Kai's mech's skull, a continuous stream of crisp "ding ding! ding ding!" sounds echoed, and sparks flew from the collision of their beaks and the mech.

Yu Kai quickly raised his arms, attempting to capture the arrogant chickens. However, the chickens were incredibly cunning, frantically flapping their enormous wings and taking advantage of the powerful air currents to soar into the air, deftly dodging Yu Kai's attack. Seeing this, Yu Kai suddenly spread his wings and shot up into the sky like an arrow from a bowstring. In an instant, he appeared next to another chicken and struck again. His large, pincer-like hands firmly grasped the chicken's neck. With a powerful force, he twisted the chicken's long neck into a twisted knot. Then, with a yank, the chicken's body was forcibly torn in two.

This bloody and horrifying scene completely terrified the remaining giant chickens. They screamed in terror, flapped their wings frantically, and flew desperately into the distance. Seeing this, the chickens on the ground followed suit, creating a chaotic scene. Many ghosts were unable to dodge and were trampled by the fleeing chickens, their screams of pain echoing one after another.

Yu Kai's gaze was fixed on the flock of fleeing giant chickens, a thoughtful glint in his eyes as thoughts raced through his mind. "The power system on my back absorbs spiritual energy, granting me the strength to fight for extended periods. If I could further develop a powerful weapon system that continuously absorbs surrounding spiritual energy and converts it into various energy projectiles, wouldn't I be able to launch long-range strikes against these fleeing giant chickens?" He muttered to himself, a strong urge welling up within him to put this idea into practice immediately.

At this moment, he could clearly sense a significant improvement in his strength compared to before. Reflecting on past experiences, he discovered a curious pattern: whenever he was overcome with extreme anger, the vast, mysterious power within him would be harnessed. He mused to himself that his current strength should be at the mid-stage of the Clan King, perhaps even reaching the high stage. This increase in strength bolstered his confidence, and he firmly believed he could evolve another weapon system for the mecha, leading him to anticipate the next attempt.
