"I have decided to ask Senior Shidi to come and contain them. No matter what, I must enter the restricted area." Yu Kai's eyes were as firm as iron, revealing an unquestionable determination.
"What on earth could make you so persistent that you are even willing to take the risk of your life?" Taiyi Jiuku Tianzun stared at Yu Kai, his eyes filled with a mixture of confusion and worry.
Yu Kai bowed respectfully again and said firmly, "Senior, this matter is of great importance and has far-reaching implications. I'm sorry I can't tell you for now. I hope you will forgive me."
Seeing that he had made up his mind, Taiyi Jiuku Tianzun knew it was difficult to change his mind. He sighed helplessly, "Alas! Forget it. I will immediately send a message to the Earth Mother and inform her of your request. You will wait patiently in the underworld."
"Thank you very much, senior! I will remember your kindness forever!" Yu Kai expressed his gratitude and bowed respectfully again to express his gratitude.
"Until the Queen returns, you must not enter the restricted area without permission. However, you may move freely within the Underworld." With these words, a black iron token flew out of Taiyi Jiuku Tianzun's hand. The token was engraved with mysterious runes and exuded an ancient and mellow aura. "This is my personal token. With this token, the people of the Underworld will not make things difficult for you. If you wish to find Liu Ling's whereabouts, you can also use this token to ask the Yama Kings for help."
Yu Kai steadily reached out to take the token. His gratitude towards Taiyi Jiuku Tianzun grew stronger. He bowed again and said, "Senior, your great kindness and virtue will be forever engraved in my heart!"
"You go and do your work. After you're done, if you need anything, you can come to me to practice. I'm afraid the Queen won't be able to come back for a while." Taiyi Jiuku Tianzun said.
"Yes, senior!" Yu Kai responded with a respectful bow, then stopped disturbing him and slowly retreated.
He gently pushed open the door, and the ghost generals guarding outside were all startled. They looked at him in surprise, secretly wondering who this person was and when he had entered the hall so quietly.
"He is Yu Kai, the Holy Prince of Heaven. He is the distinguished guest I invited. You must treat him well and not be negligent in the slightest!" The voice of Taiyi Jiuku Tianzun came clearly from the hall.
"Yes!" The two leading ghost generals hurriedly and respectfully accepted the order, then carefully closed the door. They were shocked and secretly wondered when this Holy Prince Yu Kai had emerged from the Leiyin Pagoda, and when he had developed such a deep friendship with the Lord Tianzun.
Yu Kai strode out. One of the ghost generals quickly followed, saying respectfully, "Holy Prince, I am Fan Chao, the deputy commander of the Tianzun Palace. From now on, I will be by your side, waiting for your orders."
Yu Kai thought that it would be much easier to get things done with the Underworld Commander by his side, so he politely said, "Then I'll have to trouble Commander Fan!"
"I don't deserve it! I don't know where the Holy Prince is going. I will lead the way for you." Fan Chao asked with a smile on his face and great respect.
"Go to Yama Palace and find King Yama." Yu Kai's tone revealed a hint of urgency.
"Okay, I'll lead the way for you right away!" Fan Chao responded and turned around to lead the way.
Under Fan Chao's leadership, and armed with the token of Taiyi Jiuku Tianzun, they traveled unimpeded and soon arrived at Fengdu City. Passing through a complex of unique buildings, they finally arrived at Yama Palace.
The dark grey walls of Yama Hall were thick and oppressive, their eaves and corners like ferocious fangs, outlining a strange and mysterious outline against the sky. White lanterns hung beneath the eaves, emitting a faint and eerie light, as if ready to be swallowed by darkness at any moment.
Above the temple gate, a door god with glaring eyes was painted, as if constantly guarding the mystery and majesty within. All around, ferocious ghosts stood, tall and burly, their faces as cold as ice, and the weapons in their hands flashed with a chilling light, making people feel intimidated.
After Fan Chao communicated with the demons, Yu Kai was respectfully ushered in. Inside the hall, the floor was paved with black stone slabs inscribed with runes. Each rune emanated a mysterious and powerful wave of energy, as if telling an ancient and mysterious story. The dim oil lamps cast mottled shadows on the walls, filling the hall with an increasingly eerie atmosphere.
Yama sat upright on a black throne, his head covered in a black gauze hat, its brim trembling slightly. He wore a black robe embroidered with gold, the corners of which swayed gently in the wind, adding a touch of majesty. His face was as dark as ink, but his eyes were as bright as torches, as if he could penetrate the secrets of all human hearts.
On either side of the throne, carvings of ferocious monsters, fangs bared and claws bared, were lifelike, as if they would leap out of the carvings and pounce on the intruder at any moment. On the long table in front lay the enigmatic Book of Life and Death, exuding a mysterious and solemn aura, controlling the cycle of life and death of all things in the world.
Meanwhile, Judge Cui Jue sat at a desk below, his brush wielding as he diligently wrote something down. Surrounding him stood a multitude of ghosts, each with a green face and fangs, each in a different form. Standing tall and straight like pine trees, their expressions solemn, they maintained order within the hall.
At this time, they had just finished handling a case, and two ghost soldiers were escorting a ghost and walking out from the side.
King Yama was looking at Yu Kai carefully, and Cui Jue had just finished recording quickly.
He stood up first and bowed respectfully to Yu Kai, saying, "Judge Cui Jue, because you did not find out the truth back then, you wrongly accused the Holy Prince and almost caused a disaster. I beg the Holy Prince to punish you!" He was humble and spoke in a very sincere tone.
Yu Kai didn't take the incident of that year to heart, and said with a bow, "It's okay!"
Then, he turned to King Yama who was sitting above him and said with a bow, "Greetings, King Yama!"
Seeing that Yu Kai wasn't coming to call for punishment, King Yama immediately stood up, bowed, and returned the greeting, saying, "Holy Prince, you are so polite! I wonder what brings you here this time?"
