Chapter 75

Chapter 75

Youyou was very stubborn. She said she would not take the autographed photo and would not give any room for negotiation.

As for Qu Minli's suggestion of bringing the whole class to play with her, she didn't want that at all.

It’s like you have no friends at all!

"Qu Minli, why don't you keep your word?"

"You always say your mother is familiar with people from all over the place, but now you've made such a boast, but you can't do it."

"If I had known I couldn't do it, I shouldn't have said it. Now how are we going to explain this to our neighbors when we get back?"

The classmates were blaming Qu Minli one after another.

Ruan Fengmei doesn't have a TV at home. She got to know the actor "Cheng Ruchu" for the first time after watching a movie today, so she has no obsession with this so-called autographed photo. At this moment, the only thing that made her feel uncomfortable was why she listened to Qu Minli and didn't be friends with Youyou?

Youyou is so nice. Even though she has acted in a movie, she won’t show off everywhere. What’s more, she has helped me a lot before.

People only appreciate something after they lose it. Thinking of the scenes of studying and having lunch with Youyou a few days ago, Ruan Fengmei became depressed and hung her head.

"Stop talking, I didn't mean it." Qu Minli said in a low voice with red eyes.

It’s just that she was just as rude to Youyou a while ago, and these female classmates were just as rude to her now.

Qu Minli was pampered at home and at school. She had never suffered such injustice before. She felt so aggrieved that she ran away crying.

Qu's mother hurriedly caught up and kept saying, "Minli, there's nothing I can do. Cheng Ruchu follows the studio everywhere and doesn't just stay in Beijing. I promise you, next time she comes to Beijing, I'll get an autographed photo for you..."

Peng Wang came over and stopped Qu Minli: "What happened?"

Qu's mother quickly told Teacher Peng the whole story, and then said, "It's all my fault. I didn't care about the child's feelings. If I had known it was impossible, I shouldn't have promised it in advance. Now the child is hurt..."

Peng Wang looked at Qu Minli.

The little girl was fair and tender, but a little thin. At this moment, her eyes were red and she was crying, looking as pitiful as she could be.

He put his arm around her shoulders and said, "It's okay, don't cry. Children have short memories, they won't remember this in a few days."

Qu Minli looked up: "Really? Will they really forget about this?"

"Really." Peng Wang said, "It's just a small thing, don't take it to heart. Besides, you didn't mean it, right?"

Only then did Qu Minli hold back her tears.

Seeing that Peng Wang had persuaded her daughter with just a few words, Qu's mother breathed a sigh of relief: "Teacher Peng, I'm lucky to have you, otherwise, I really don't know what to do with this child. I heard that our class's new head teacher is a male teacher, and I was worried that there would be no female teacher who would be as careful. It seems that I was really worrying too much."

Peng Wang curled the corners of his mouth, smiling politely, and at the same time, his eyes fell on Youyou.

Before, he only thought that this child was well-behaved, delicate, gentle and particularly likable. Unexpectedly, she had also acted in a movie.

In the movie just now, Youyou's eyes twinkled, and her voice was soft but firm when she spoke the lines. She acted very well. No wonder the other children followed her and scrambled to talk to her.

"Meng Youyou, how did you get into the studio?"

"Those photos at the end of the movie were taken when you were in the art troupe when you were a kid, right?"

"What do you do in a cultural troupe? Can you learn singing and acting? I envy you so much."

"Meng Youyou, you used to be in the Jiangcheng Art Troupe. Now that you are in Jing City, will the art troupe in Jing City invite you to perform?"

"You are so familiar with Cheng Ruchu, will she come to see you? If she is coming, can you tell us earlier? We also want to see her!

Youyou has been in this class for more than a month, and has never seen her classmates be so enthusiastic towards her.

But she didn't want to talk to them.

Youyou still remembers how arrogant everyone was before.

Peng Wang stood not far away, looking at Youyou's arrogant look, and raised his eyebrows.

It seems that this child is left alone.

Meng Jinyu did not waste time setting up the stall. Before going to Gao Jingqing's house, she pushed her mobile shelves and sold the clothes first.

When doing clothing business, you have to be one step ahead of others in everything. The red skirts, jeans and bat shirts she is selling now are selling well mainly because there are not many individual businesses selling these styles in Beijing.

However, as her stall's business has been booming in the past two days, it is estimated that soon there will be stall owners who will buy goods based on the styles of clothing on her stall. Then, she will have to choose other styles.

"Comrade, your red skirt is very beautiful, but I have never worn such a skirt before. Can I try it?" asked a young female comrade.

When she was in Jiangcheng before, Meng Jinyu often asked people who wanted to buy clothes to take the clothes home or to the company to try them on. Now, she did the same and simply agreed.

"Take it back and try it on. I'll be here until dark. If it doesn't fit after you try it on, you can return the dress later."

When the female comrade heard this, she immediately took the skirt happily: "Okay, my house is in the yard not far ahead. After you try it on, I will send the skirt back as soon as possible!"

Meng Jinyu could see that this female comrade would not do anything indecent. After giving her the skirt, she no longer took the matter to heart and believed that she would definitely come back.

Compared with Meng Jinyu, that female comrade was not so calm. In the past two years, there were more and more street stalls and vendors. It's not like she had never seen beautiful clothes in the stalls, but every time she wanted to try them on, the stall owner shook his head and told her helplessly that it was on the street and she couldn't try them on.

Qi Yingying also knew that these vendors were all running small businesses, so it was normal for them not to let her take the clothes away. But it was precisely because she understood this in her heart that she felt very warm when Meng Jinyu trusted her like this just now.

Qi Yingying ran home quickly, tried on the skirt in her room, and looked at herself in the small round mirror. She was extremely satisfied.

When she returned to Meng Jinyu's stall, she took out her purse and said, "This skirt is so beautiful. If you hadn't agreed to let me try it on, I would have missed it. How much is the skirt? I'll buy it."

Qi Yingying was young and beautiful, and she loved dressing up. She would usually go to the department store to buy clothes without even blinking, so now she didn't even bargain and just paid directly.

"Comrade, you are really straightforward in buying clothes." Meng Jinyu said with a smile, "This is a bracelet I made with pearls. I'm giving it to you."

She had bought too many pearls before and pinned most of them on the collar of her white shirt. There were still quite a few left, so she strung some together at random and used them as a bracelet to match.

A string of bracelets doesn't cost much, and she originally wanted to sell them, but she hadn't sold many in the morning. Seeing that Qi Yingying was so easy to talk to, she gave her one directly.

"Are you giving it to me? It's really nice, I like it very much!" Qi Yingying was pleasantly surprised. She put her hand over, tried it on her wrist, and put it on directly. Then, she said, "Comrade, when will you get some new models?"

Meng Jinyu estimated: "It will probably take until next week before we can go out to purchase the goods."

"Do you have a telephone at home?" Qi Yingying said, "I'm afraid I won't be able to see you next time I come."

Meng Jinyu shook her head.

Qi Yingying said, "It would be great if you had a store, so that when I want to buy clothes, I can just come and buy them."

Meng Jinyu smiled and said, "I also want to rent a store, but I'm from another place and I can't find a suitable store for the time being."

Qi Yingying was stunned: "You want to rent a store? I have one at home!"

Meng Jinyu didn't expect that she could make a friend just by giving a bracelet.

Qi Yingying left her the address and asked her to visit the store when she was free.

After everyone left, Meng Jinyu carefully considered the issue of opening a store. The winter in Beijing is extremely cold. It will be winter in a few months, with windy and snowy weather. The conditions for setting up a stall will be too bad.

She had wanted to rent a store for a long time, but she didn't know where to find one. Unexpectedly, she met Qi Yingying at this time. It was like someone handed her a pillow just when she wanted to fall asleep.

When the sun was about to set, Meng Jinyu decided to close the stall and deliver the shirts to Gao Jingqing's home.

But who would have thought that when she was tidying up and packing up her stall, she saw Qi Yingying coming with a group of girls.

"Comrade, I just wore this pearl bracelet back to work, and my colleagues in the sales department liked it very much. They all wanted to buy some. Do you have enough bracelets?"

In just a few minutes, the pearl bracelets that Meng Jinyu casually wove were sold out.

Meng Jinyu was extremely excited after making more than ten yuan from selling the bracelets. On the way to Gao Jingqing's house, she couldn't stop smiling.

Although she was a little uncomfortable when she first arrived in Beijing, now everything is getting better!

"Sister Gao, this is egg and brown sugar water. Add brown sugar before the eggs are beaten. This is how we cook it in the countryside." Ruan Wenwen came out of the kitchen with a bowl in her hand that was steaming.

Gao Jingqing smiled and nodded, letting her put it aside for now, and then said, "Xiao Ruan, thank you for your hard work during this period."

"It's not hard." Ruan Wenwen smiled innocently, "Sister Gao, my cooking is not very good, but I will definitely work hard to learn."

Gao Jingqing looked at Ruan Wenwen with a smile, waved her hand and said it was okay.

Her health has always been poor, and a few months ago, her husband Wu Deyao brought home a young nanny for her.

I heard that this nanny came from the countryside and was a widow who raised her child alone. Now the child has to go to school and money needs to be spent everywhere, so she came to the city to find a job.

The young nanny was not very efficient at her job, but she looked honest and didn't talk much, so Gao Jingqing was very satisfied with her.

"By the way, Xiao Ruan, do you have any sisters?" Gao Jingqing asked.

Ruan Wenwen was stunned for a moment: "What?"

Gao Jingqing smiled and said, "Nothing, I just went to buy clothes a few days ago and met a lesbian. The owner of that stall looks exactly like you, almost exactly the same. However, I chatted with her for a few words and heard that she is from Jiangcheng. You are not from Jiangcheng, right?"

Ruan Wenwen shook her head subconsciously. She had finally established herself in this family, and she couldn't let Gao Jingqing know about her past troubles.

"Don't you have a biological sister?" Gao Jingqing picked up the bowl, stirred it with a spoon, scooped out the egg, and took a bite. "She will come over to give me some clothes later. You can see that you two look so much alike. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed it."

Just as Gao Jingqing finished speaking, there was a knock on the door.

Ruan Wenwen was startled and immediately covered her stomach: "Sister Gao, my stomach suddenly hurts."

"You go ahead." Gao Jingqing asked with concern, "Are you okay? Are you cold?"

Ruan Wenwen pretended to have a stomachache, ran away quickly and locked herself in the toilet.

Meng Jinyu sent over all thirty shirts.

Gao Jingqing made a quick inspection and paid her the balance. He then took out a business card and said, "I gave you a 30-yuan deposit yesterday. This is the remaining money. If this shirt sells well, I would like to have a long-term cooperation with you. This is the address of our garment factory. It is not small and is a privatized factory."

Meng Jinyu took the business card and took a look at it.

She had never heard of the name of this clothing factory, but seeing that Gao Jingqing could easily take out three hundred yuan, she knew that the other party's strength should not be underestimated.

only……

Seeing Meng Jinyu hesitated to speak, she smiled and said, "Do you think I should discuss this with my husband? No need. A few years ago, my husband and I founded this factory together. It's just that I'm not in good health recently, so I'm resting at home. I can make the decisions about the factory. I say that good-looking styles will sell well."

Although Gao Jingqing looked very weak, she was very decisive when she started talking about business with Meng Jinyu.

This was a good opportunity, and Meng Jinyu certainly had to seize it. She sat down and had a good discussion with Gao Jingqing about fashion trends. They finally agreed that next time, she would bring other clothing styles that she had modified herself.

Gao Jingqing chatted with her for a while, then felt dizzy again. He rubbed his temples and said, "Sorry, I have to go to rest."

Meng Jinyu stood up quickly: "Then you should have a good rest first, I will go back and prepare it. If there is a suitable style, I will send it to you."

Gao Jingqing nodded and smiled: "Then I won't see you off."

Meng Jinyu walked out of the Wu family's door and put her hand in her pocket.

With so much money stacked together, even my pockets are bulging!

She couldn't help but smile secretly, and quickened her pace, wanting to go home and hide the money first.

However, before she had walked a few steps out of the yard, she suddenly heard a voice.

"My dear?"

"Why are you dressed so nicely today?"

"I bought you so many beautiful clothes. Finally, I can stop pretending and wear them."

Wu Deyao grinned and walked over with a smile, but when he got in front of Meng Jinyu, the smile froze.

Normally when Ruan Wenwen faced him, her cheeks were always flushed and her expression was seductive, which was nothing like the lesbian in front of him!

He immediately recognized that the person in front of him was not Ruan Wenwen, and immediately put on a straight face: "I'm really sorry, comrade, I recognized the wrong person. You look a bit similar to my wife, I thought it was her."

There was a hint of mockery in Meng Jinyu's eyes: "It doesn't matter."

By the time Wu Deyao turned around and walked into the yard, Meng Jinyu already had an idea in her mind.

No wonder she didn’t see Gao Jingqing’s nanny just now. It turned out that the “nanny” had hidden herself.

After watching the movie, Youyou followed the group and walked to school.

The classmates were all very curious about her, but she didn't want to talk to them and no one could get close to her.

For a moment, the classmates were filled with regret. If they had known earlier, they would not have listened to Qu Minli a while ago. If they had not deliberately excluded Youyou at that time, they could play with her now and inquire about the affairs of the art troupe and the film studio.

When she returned to the classroom, Qu Minli looked like an eggplant hit by frost, wilted.

She lay dejectedly on the table, pen in her hand, drawing one messy curve after another on her homework book.

Youyou continued to take out the sixth-grade textbooks that her sister had borrowed from her.

Shanshan skipped a grade and had already finished the sixth-grade textbooks. She usually studied on her own. When there were some knowledge points she didn't understand, she would ask her brother. Now she has reviewed most of the sixth-grade textbooks.

In a few months, it will be the final exams. Youyou and her mother have discussed it and decided to apply to the school to skip a grade and take the exams.

There is no classmate that Youyou likes in this class. She will definitely be able to make friends in the new class!

"Which student can solve this problem?" Peng Wang pointed at the problem on the blackboard. He glanced at the students sitting upright under the podium and finally looked at Youyou. "Meng Youyou, come up and try."

Youyou went up to the stage, took the chalk handed to her by the teacher, and quickly wrote down the answers to the questions on the blackboard.

Peng Wang smiled with satisfaction: "Very good. We should all learn from Meng Youyou and think more when encountering difficult problems."

Youyou is now a worldly-wise child and not proud at all. She returned the chalk to the teacher and went back to her seat.

After class, Peng Wang called Youyou to his office.

"Meng Youyou, I have been observing you for a while. You don't have any problems with your studies, so the teacher doesn't need to worry about you. But, you don't seem to get along well with your classmates?"

"It's normal to feel uncomfortable when you first arrive at a place. If you have any difficulties, you can tell the teacher."

Youyou shook her head and said in a clear voice: "Teacher, I have no problem."

Peng Wang smiled and said, "Children of this age always like to keep things to themselves. Meng Youyou, can you tell the teacher why you want to learn the sixth grade textbooks in advance?"

Youyou said: "Teacher, I want to skip a grade."

Peng Wang looked surprised, but he quickly recovered and said with a smile: "I heard that your brother skipped several grades when he was studying in Jiangcheng. I didn't expect that you would have the same plan. I used to teach sixth grade in other schools. I have a lot of teaching materials at home. After school in the afternoon, you can go home with me and take the materials away."

Youyou waved her hands and said obediently, "Teacher Peng, I have a lot of information at home, and I can't finish reading it."

The smile in Peng Wang's eyes faded: "Okay, then you can go out."

Youyou returned home and told Meng Jinyu that Teacher Peng asked her to go home to get some information.

Meng Jinyu was still cooking. After hearing this, her eyebrows immediately knitted together and she nervously grasped Youyou's shoulders: "Teacher Peng, do you have anything else to say?"

Youyou shook her head: "No more."

Meng Jinyu pondered for a moment and said, "Starting tomorrow, you two will wait for me at the school gate after school. I will pick you up and take you home together."

Youyou and Shanshan both felt strange and scratched their heads, but still couldn't figure it out.

"Mom, other students go home by themselves after school," said Shanshan.

Meng Jinyu insisted, "Mom will close the stall early and pick you up. If I happen to be busy and come late, you just have to wait obediently. Also, no matter who calls you home, you two can't go, understand?"

"Why?" Youyou blinked.

"You have to protect yourself," said Meng Jinyu.

Why would a male teacher call Youyou home?

She didn't know if she was being too sensitive, but in later life, she had seen a lot of similar social news that were heartbreaking.

Even the slightest bit of luck may lead to tragedy.

Youyou didn’t know why her mother said that, but she and her brother remembered what her mother said.

They have to protect themselves.

In the next few days, Meng Jinyu would close her stall early and go to the school gate to pick up Youyou and Shanshan.

Both children have grown up, but every time they leave school and see their mother waiting at the door, they jump for joy and run towards her.

"Mom, what are we having for dinner tonight?"

Meng Jinyu smiled and rubbed her hair: "Let's go to Jingshi University."

Youyou opened her eyes wide: "Are you going to see Sister Ninglan?"

Before this, Meng Jinyu spent a lot of effort to settle down with the children, but she never forgot about Ning Lan.

A month passed and Ning Lan didn't contact her.

She was worried, so she decided to take her children to Beijing University.

They arrived at the dormitory building, did a simple registration, and immediately went upstairs to Ning Lan's dormitory.

Youyou knocked on the door: "Sister Ninglan!"

Not long after, they heard the sound of a wheelchair rolling in the dormitory.

As soon as the dormitory door opened, Ning Lan was stunned: "Sister Jin Yu..."

After she finished speaking, she hid her right hand behind her back.

Meng Jinyu's heart skipped a beat and she took the children into the dormitory.

Ning Lan's expression was very unnatural, even a little guilty, and she was obviously forcing herself to be alert and talk to them.

Meng Jinyu glanced and noticed several letters and a wedding invitation written on bright red paper on the desk.

In the village, if someone is getting married, they just need to tell the villagers and ask everyone to come to the wedding early.

But now, they are in town.

If Ma Junjie and Ning Lan wanted to hold a wedding banquet, they would have to write wedding invitations and distribute them to their colleagues at work and their mentors at school.

"Are you getting married?" Meng Jinyu asked, picking up the wedding invitation.

Ning Lan immediately shook her head and said firmly: "No, we didn't reach an agreement and we have separated now."

A few days ago, Ma Junjie would come to the dormitory building every day to wait for Ning Lan.

Ning Lan was a soft-hearted person by nature, and when she saw him waiting at the window until he was almost sleepy but still unwilling to leave, she wanted to give him a chance.

However, after they got back together, Ning Lan always thought of what Meng Jinyu said to her.

Meng Jinyu said that she doesn’t laugh anymore.

That day, Ning Lan looked at the unfamiliar self in the mirror and suddenly came to her senses. She didn't want to be suppressed anymore, and she didn't want anyone to remind her all the time how inferior she was.

Ning Lan plucked up her courage and decided to cut off contact with him.

"Sister Ninglan is the first college student in our Fenglin Village. She is indeed the smartest!" Youyou seemed to understand what she said, but subconsciously felt that this must be a correct decision.

Ning Lan lowered her head: "Youyou, I'm not as amazing as you think."

"He disagreed, and we had a very unhappy argument." Ning Lan laughed at herself, "He also said that after he was assigned a unit, he would come to my unit to make trouble. He said that I deceived his feelings and hurt him. He wanted me to have no chance to stay in Beijing."

Youyou’s eyes widened.

She knew that the ugly uncle was not a good person, but she didn't expect that he was so bad!

"Sister Ninglan, doesn't he have a unit?" Youyou asked angrily.

Ning Lan was startled: "What?"

Youyou didn't even think about it and said seriously: "Let's go to his workplace and make trouble too!"

Meng Jinyu said: "There is really no need to get entangled with such a person. However, if he wants to go to your workplace to make trouble, it will affect your future."

Ning Lan pinched the corner of her clothes tightly.

"Are you scared, Sister Ninglan?" Youyou patted her chest and said, "I'm not afraid. Let me take action!"

On the way home, Youyou held Meng Jinyu's hand and said, "Mom, will Sister Ninglan regret it?"

Meng Jinyu and Ning Lan agreed to go to the TV station together tomorrow at noon to ask Ma Junjie for an explanation.

However, she was not sure whether Ning Lan would back down at the last minute.

Not everyone can be so bold. Ning Lan is thin-skinned and a little weak-tempered. In addition, she and Ma Junjie have been together for so many years...

"Whether Sister Ninglan goes or not, we can't blame her," said Meng Jinyu.

Youyou nodded heavily: "The one we should blame is the ugly bad uncle!"

Meng Jinyu laughed.

She took some time during the day to take a look at Qi Yingying's unused store. The store was right on the street where she was setting up her stall now, at the end of the street. It was usually very busy and she fell in love with it at first sight.

Meng Jinyu wanted to rent a store as soon as possible, but she couldn't let people think she was in a hurry. After all, the price still needed to be negotiated.

However, Qi Yingying's parents are straightforward and generous people, so it is estimated that this matter will be accomplished soon.

It is estimated that in the near future, she will have her first clothing store!

In this way, she will reach a new level.

The weather was getting colder, and the family walked very fast. They were already starting to feel hungry halfway through the journey.

When they got to the door, Meng Jinyu said, "You two go do your homework first. Mom is cooking rice now. It may take some time."

Youyou and Shanshan agreed immediately.

Shanshan came into the room, took out her homework book and put it on the desk.

However, when he took out a pen from his schoolbag, he saw Youyou running out with a "tapping" sound out of the corner of his eye.

Shanshan tilted her head.

Didn’t you promise to do your homework well?

When the weather gets cooler, the sun sets earlier.

Youyou is a person who can't sit still. She has to sit in her seat and study obediently in class during the day, but when she gets home at night, she has to walk around!

This compound is different from the previous Chunyu Garment Factory compound. It is more deserted. Youyou wandered around bored, feeling bored.

However, at this moment, she raised her eyes and saw that familiar face.

Grandma Wen was cooking at home, and hot air came out of the window from time to time.

And her grandson, just like in the previous days, was leaning on the window and looking outside quietly.

Youyou ran forward and put her face close to him: "Come out and play."

The boy shook his head and glanced back into the room.

Youyou stood on tiptoe to look at Grandma Wen's busy figure, and asked in a low voice: "Do you want to come out and play?"

The boy nodded slightly.

A joyful feast.

He wants to play with Youyou, and Youyou also wants to play with him.

So what are you waiting for?

Of course it was Youyou who came up with the solution!

After she finished speaking, Youyou quickly ran home.

Looking at her hurried figure, the boy was stunned.

After a while, Youyou ran out again.

She held a pile of books in her hands.

She still remembered that her neighbor Aunt Xie said last time that Grandma Wen’s grandson no longer went to school.

However, when Youyou and her mother came to deliver dumplings that day, she clearly saw a textbook in front of him.

It must have been the old lady who showed it to him!

Youyou trotted back to the Wen family window and whispered, "Leave it to me."

Then she quickly ran to knock on the door.

“Dongdong——”

“Boom boom boom—”

No one opened the door.

But Youyou was not in a hurry. She waited patiently and knocked gently every once in a while.

In the room, Grandma Wen frowned and walked out.

She guessed that it was the family next door coming to deliver food again.

She doesn't lack food, and she doesn't want to make friends with anyone.

Grandma Wen picked up a broom from the wall and opened the door with a "whoosh".

"Can you please stop being annoying? Ever since you moved in, you've never been quiet! Do you really want me to blast you with a broom?"

However, before the old lady finished her words, she was greeted by a small, cute smiling face.

She was stunned, and the broom she raised froze in mid-air.

Youyou tilted her head, opened her mouth wide, and formed a pair of dimples.

The child's face is chubby and round. When he smiles, he looks like a small fruit, so sweet.

"Can I come in?" Youyou asked.

Grandma Wen frowned, but she didn't hit a smiling person. After hesitating for a while, she put down the broom and said, "Are you going to laugh at our child too?"

Youyou shook her head: "I want to play with him and read books with him."

Only then did Grandma Wen notice the book in Youyou's hand.

In the past, her grandson was very smart, performed well in class, and ranked first in exams every year.

However, a few months ago, the child suddenly became stupid.

He didn't speak, his eyes were dull, and he couldn't even understand the books. Finally, the teacher at school regretfully advised her to take him home to recuperate.

Grandma Wen knew why her grandson suddenly became like this.

The death of both parents was undoubtedly a huge blow to a sensible child.

Later, she took her grandson to many hospitals.

The doctor couldn't figure out what was wrong and just told me not to stimulate the child, to let him rest at home and slowly get out of the trauma.

So from then on, Grandma Wen kept him at home and took good care of him.

But until now, Grandma Wen still cannot accept this fact.

So she would take out her grandson's old textbooks and let him read them.

However, he had already read those textbooks thoroughly in the past.

What the little girl brought now was something he had never seen before.

Grandma Wen hesitated, not knowing whether to let Youyou in.

The doctor had said that people should not mention his parents in front of the child, for fear that he would suffer a trauma. That was why she never let him contact the outside world.

She was worried that those nosy people would make her grandson's condition worse.

"Can I come in?" Youyou tilted her face up, the smile on her face still as bright as a little sunflower.

Grandma Wen frowned and remained silent.

This child is really too lively. Such a lively child is likely to talk too much about his parents. Then...

But before she could think it through, Youyou had already blinked her eyes and said in a long and soft voice: "Grandma, let me in."

After saying that, she slipped in through the gap beside the old lady with a whoosh.

Grandma Wen was stunned.

When she turned around, she saw Youyou giving her a warm smile.

Who would have the heart to kick out such a soft and cute little creature?

"Shanshan, Youyou, come out and eat." Meng Jinyu called out.

But when she came out of the kitchen, she saw that Shanshan was the only one sitting at the table waiting for dinner.

Meng Jinyu asked doubtfully, "Where's Youyou?"

Shanshan pointed outside the house and said, "It seems like she went to play at the old lady's house next door."

Meng Jinyu smiled, opened the door and walked out, saying, "That's impossible. The old lady next door has a bad temper. She won't..."

She paused here.

Because she heard Youyou's soft voice coming from the Wen family's house.

"Grandma Wen, the food you cook is so delicious!"

"It's even better than my mom's cooking! Can I come to your house for dinner more often?"

"But the pancakes my mother makes are delicious. I'll bring some for you to try next time, okay?"

This was the first time she heard laughter coming from the Wen family after moving here for so long.

Meng Jinyu was full of questions and wanted to knock on the door, but was afraid of disturbing others, so she walked to the window and took a look.

Looking around, she saw that under the warm yellow light in the room, Youyou was sitting with the Wen family's grandparents and grandchildren to have dinner.

That scene was so heartwarming.

Especially Youyou, who always calls her Grandma Wen, people who don’t know her would think she is really their child.

Meng Jinyu didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

How come this little girl can get along well with everyone no matter where she goes?

Now even the meal is served!

Youyou is at Grandma Wen's house and her belly is full of food.

After dinner, she offered to help Grandma Wen wash the dishes: "I wash the dishes very cleanly, and my mother always praises me."

Grandma Wen was no longer as serious as before, and her tone was much kinder: "No need, go and play."

Youyou nodded obediently.

I just chatted with Grandma Wen for a while, and she already knew that the boy's name was Wen Yan. Moreover, he was a little older than Youyou, and would be eleven years old after his birthday.

"Child, can you read the textbook to Wen Yan?" Grandma Wen said.

Youyou agreed immediately.

The sound of Grandma Wen washing and scrubbing came from the kitchen.

Youyou picked up the textbook, opened it, and read the contents of the textbook.

Wen Yan listened very carefully, but still did not speak.
