"A woman who doesn't know what's good for her deserves to die." Patches of skin on the Ghost King's body seemed to burst open.
Countless maggots crawled out from inside the cracked skin.
"Then let's see if you have the ability, you piece of trash." Li Muge gathered red light and moved it to his whip.
Her whip was made from human bones, segment by segment.
The Ghost King shook his body, trying to fling all the maggots onto Li Muge's body.
With a thought, Li Muge easily burned all the maggots from the Ghost King's body to ashes.
"Damn it."
Li Muge was already disgusted by the Ghost King's unpleasant smell, and with a whip, he severed the Ghost King's arm.
The resentment greedily absorbed the cultivation power from the Ghost King.
Li Muge landed on the ground, wearing crimson embroidered shoes, and approached the Ghost King step by step.
"Tell me, where is the peony flower fairy?" Li Muge asked, brandishing his blazing flames.
"Don't kill me, Great Immortal, Great Immortal." The Ghost King's tall body instantly shrank into a ball, secretly hating Zhao An for sending him such a powerful sacrifice.
This is not about killing him.
"That peony was locked in the side room on the west side by me." As soon as the Ghost King finished speaking, Li Muge threw the blazing flame in her hand at the Ghost King.
The moment the flames touched the Ghost King's body, they burst into flames. The Ghost King rolled around in the fire, hoping for a chance to survive.
But all of this was to no avail.
"You shameless woman, you don't keep your word."
Li Muge scoffed: "I am a demon, why should I keep my word? You stupid bastard."
The Ghost King felt his skin burning, and he was determined to take someone down with him if he was going to die.
He used his last bit of strength to get up and lunge at Li Muge.
"Overestimating yourself." Li Muge waved his sleeve, and his red oiled paper fan pierced straight through the Ghost King's body.
Li Muge covered her ears impatiently.
The Ghost King roared in agony as he was burned to ashes by the flames.
Li Muge walked straight out of the palace gate, but instead of heading to the west hall, she released a butterfly that could sense spiritual energy and followed the butterfly's direction to a courtyard.
There are two ghosts guarding the entrance.
Before she even got close to Li Muge, she snapped her fingers, and the two ghosts instantly vanished.
"Little peony." A butterfly flew to a doorway and landed.
Li Muge easily opened the barrier and pushed open the door.
Little Peony thought it was the Ghost King's minions coming, and she hid behind the screen in fright, clutching a sword tightly in her hand.
"Tell that disgusting ghost king that I will never marry him, not even if I die."
Li Muge raised an eyebrow: "Little Peony, don't be afraid, I'm here to save you."
Little Peony recognized the voice and cautiously peeked out. The moment she saw Li Muge, the wreath on her head burst into bloom.
She practically sprinted and clung to Li Muge.
"Mu Ge, I miss you so much. I just thought the Ghost King was going to feed me to the insects and I would never see you again."
"Get down, let's talk things out." Li Muge rubbed her forehead.
"No, I'm so scared, Mu Ge, I miss you so much! You scared me to death! I thought I would never see you again!" Little Peony cried, tears streaming down her face.
Li Muge's tone softened slightly: "It's alright, don't be afraid. I've already killed the Ghost King."
Little Peony then looked up and saw that Li Muge had a red gauze covering his eyes. Curious, she pulled it off and asked, "Muge, why are you wearing a red gauze over your eyes?"
Li Muge had grown accustomed to the presence of the red veil. Her face darkened. "Little Peony, stop fooling around and give me the red veil."
Little Peony then realized something was wrong. Why were Li Muge's eyes closed the whole time? "Muge, what's wrong with you? Why won't you open your eyes?"
"It's alright, just return the red veil to me." Back then, when Li Muge made the exchange with Ksitigarbha, he used a pair of pupils in exchange. If she opened her eyes, this girl, who is very timid, would definitely be frightened.
"You're lying." Tears welled up in Little Peony's eyes. "Mu Ge, what happened in the past hundred years? Your eyes, why are your eyes gone?"
"Who took your eyes? Let's go and get them back." Little Peony pulled Li Muge away, but Li Muge shook his head, a smile playing on his lips: "I gave them to you willingly."
"Why should it be voluntary? Mu Ge, how about this: I'll give you one of my eyes, and we'll each have one. That way, everyone can see," Little Peony said seriously.
"No." Li Muge withdrew his hand: "Even if I have no eyes, I am no different from an ordinary person."
Little Peony still hadn't given up on the idea.
"Alright, let's hurry up and leave. With the Ghost King dead, this underground city probably won't last much longer." Li Muge set up a teleportation array, but just as they were about to leave, a communication talisman came from Mo Yan asking where she was.
At this point, the underground city was already swaying and was clearly on the verge of collapse.
"Troublesome." Li Muge pushed Little Peony into the teleportation array: "Little Peony, you go first, I'll be there in a bit."
Meanwhile, Mo Yan was searching everywhere for Li Muge.
He had only just arrived in the underground city and hadn't even seen the Ghost King yet, but the surrounding buildings were already on the verge of collapse. He was worried about Li Muge's safety.
The ground around them was so rough that it was impossible to even stand up.
Just as a huge rock was about to smash into Mo Yan's head, Li Muge used a red light to pull Mo Yan to her side.
"Sect Master, are you alright?"
"Of course. Back then, when you sect leaders surrounded me, I still survived. How could I possibly die from a mere Ghost King?"
Upon hearing this, Mo Yan's face immediately darkened. The ruthlessness of the female demon was known to almost every cultivation sect.
The savior elder, who cared deeply for humanity, was ruthlessly murdered by a female demon.
The female demon even betrayed the master who had raised her; such evil deeds are simply deserving of divine punishment.
Li Muge didn't care what Mo Yan was thinking. If it weren't for the fact that this kid was the only bloodline left in the world by the Regent, she wouldn't bother with him at all.
The Ghost King died.
Zhao An's restored appearance was all in vain. He covered his face and screamed in agony, "You two adulterers, I will make sure you die a horrible death!"
The words "dog and woman" deeply aggravated Li Muge's nerves.
She shoved Mo Yan hard. Mo Yan wasn't seriously injured by the rock, but Li Muge threw him and caused him serious injury.
Mo Yan, supporting his back, swayed as he stood up, his back teeth almost grinding to powder: "Sect Master, you're having intermittent episodes; you can't stop taking your medicine."
Li Muge supported his waist with his hand: "Hey, you scoundrel, you can't talk nonsense. What do you mean by 'different generations'? If you keep talking nonsense, I'll cut your tongue out and give it to Mo Yan to drink with."
Mo Yan: "..."
Thanks, I was disgusted.
Zhao An was almost insane: "You can't leave! You've destroyed my hope! I can't live! And you can't leave here either! You'll all be buried with me!"
Li Muge curled his lips in a mocking smile and drew a teleportation array with his oil-paper umbrella.
"Mo Yan, hurry up and go."
"Alright." As Mo Yan was casting a spell to leave, Zhao An behind him nearly popped his eyes out, gathered all his ghostly power in his palm, and threw it at Mo Yan.
