"Alright." Li Muge ignited Phoenix True Fire in both hands, intending to use the most brutal method to destroy the formation.
Unexpectedly, her power made the formation even more powerful.
The innkeeper came out.
His eyes were full of smugness.
"Young lady, I advise you to surrender. That way, when I skin you, I can be a little gentler."
The innkeeper was increasingly satisfied with Li Muge's skin. He decided that the skin should be cut open and peeled off alive, then placed in clean water and nurtured with his magic.
This way, it will fit snugly when worn.
"Dream on, just wait and see. In a moment, I, the protector, will crush your bones inch by inch."
Sensing its master's summons, the bone ring emitted a sinister green light that flickered within the array.
The innkeeper, however, was not afraid at all.
He has been in these mountains for thousands of years, and countless highly skilled cultivators have died at his hands.
"Girl, I've told you not to waste your energy." The innkeeper said, raising his pinky finger.
"The most powerful aspect of this formation is that the moves you fat sheep make will become the source of its power."
"The stronger the opponent, the stronger it becomes."
The innkeeper smiled smugly.
The skin on his face has become a bit loose again.
He pressed it casually, but it didn't matter; he would soon have a new human skin.
"Damn it."
Countless vines flew out from the formation, binding Li Muge firmly in the center of the formation, making him unable to move.
The innkeeper took the dagger out of the water vat; he had done this countless times before.
He stroked Li Muge's smooth skin with enjoyment, his eyes filled with envy.
What fine leather!
It will soon belong to him.
The dagger sliced across Li Muge's forehead, drawing blood.
Just as the innkeeper was preparing to perform a spell to skin her alive...
Suddenly, the dagger in his hand spun 360 degrees, pointing the blade directly at himself.
"What, what happened?" the innkeeper exclaimed, not expecting that he couldn't control his hand and had cut his own skin open with a knife.
He originally thought he wouldn't feel any pain.
The sensation of the knife cutting through flesh made him tremble with pain, yet his hand did not stop moving at all.
"My lord, my lord, what's wrong?"
The henchmen panicked, wanting to stop him but too afraid to approach the strange adult.
Yun Qi emerged from the black mist.
Approaching Mu Ge's side, he flicked his sleeve, and the formation was dispelled.
"How did you get here? And..." Actually, Li Muge wanted to ask Yun Qi if he recognized her.
Yun Qi had a faint smile on his lips.
(Mu Ge must have thought that the main character's entrance was incredibly cool.)
(Look at her, look at me, I can't even hide my infatuation.)
Li Muge: "..."
Okay, she realized that Yun Qi had recognized her again.
However, the mere thought that she could hear Yun Qi's thoughts was tantamount to winning by surprise.
Yun Qi, that scheming woman, probably never imagined that she could hear all his thoughts at any time.
Yun Qi glanced indifferently at the innkeeper.
They used magic to send him to a distant place to die, letting him slowly peel off his skin by himself.
(That's such a spoilsport.)
(Not romantic at all. Such a beautiful night, should I give her a kiss?)
(No, if it's a kiss, Mu Ge will beat up the real person later, it's too embarrassing.)
Li Muge twitched her lips. At least this bastard had some self-awareness.
"Sister, I saved you, why are you ignoring me?"
Yun Qi's pupils flashed with innocence.
He had no idea that he had been exposed.
Li Muge was speechless. This Yun Qi was clearly a few months older than her, yet he still called her "sister." How disgusting!
"What's it to you? I'm begging you to save me."
Li Muge was just about to leave.
Who knew that the innkeeper, barely clinging to life, would pull out a piece of his own leg bone and smash it at Li Muge.
"careful."
Before Li Muge could react, Yun Qi hugged her.
Yun Qi was hit by a bone, and this was no ordinary human bone; the mountain surface was filled with the resentment of a bone demon for thousands of years.
Yun Qi was about to comfort Mu Ge, telling her that he was alright, when Coco began to gush blood from her mouth.
This terrified Li Muge.
"Jiang Cha, what's wrong with you?" She slightly turned her hand and used magic to heal Jiang Cha's wound.
The innkeeper didn't even have time to laugh triumphantly.
It was burned to the ground by Li Muge.
Even if Yun Qi is a bastard, despicable, shameless, and vile, only she can kill him and hurt him.
(Why is my body so badly injured? Am I really going to die?)
(No, I shouldn't die now. If I'm going to die, it should be at Wuchen's hands.)
Yun Qi kept vomiting blood, and Li Muge's white clothes were stained red.
Li Muge carried Yun Qi on her back, preparing to head to the Medicine Spirit Clan. She admired Yun Qi; despite being so badly injured, he still talked so much.
But why did Yun Qi have to die at Wu Chen's hands?
What kind of nonsensical theory is this?
Once the truth is uncovered, Yun Qi will only die at her hands; to die at Wu Chen's hands is simply a pipe dream.
Yun Qi groggily raised his eyes.
He noticed that Li Muge was carrying him on her back.
(Oh no, am I too heavy? Will my wife find me unpleasant?)
"Sigh, if I had known I would get injured today and have to be carried by my wife, I would have eaten less."
Li Muge's eyes twitched.
They're practically dying, yet they're already thinking about how much to eat. It's truly unbelievable.
Aaaaaah!
When will the Medicine Spirit Clan arrive? But Yun Qi should eat less in the future.
