Chapter 21: Running Wolf

Just as Chen Jing was facing a life-or-death situation, Fenrir transformed into a human form and walked along the main road of the ruins. His nose quivered, "Is there anyone alive?"

She looked in the direction of the human presence. It was a giant flesh ball that was over seventy meters tall, waving tens of thousands of tentacles and countless slender flesh buds. Its body was covered with dense eyes and mouths, and it was making meaningless roars.

It's alienating just by looking at it.

Of course, Fenrir didn't like it. Though a wolf, she was a refined one. She went to bed early and rose early every day, maintained her fur, brushed her teeth, and received massages. This used to be done by her numerous subordinate creatures, but now it's done in RT5's external maintenance dock alongside several starships, operated by omnics. In short, even a monster needs perseverance. If she looks like this, she needs plastic surgery before she shows up in public!

Fenrir frowned, drew his sword, and activated the short-range warp accessory.

Fenrir instantly appeared behind the giant, dragging the sword in his right hand, and beheaded it. But when the second head grew out of the severed end, Fenrir was a little dissatisfied.

She sheathed her sword and leaped backward, landing on a building that had not yet been completely destroyed.

"General, be careful! As long as there's a part of it left, it can be resurrected!" They were humans, a small group of armored humans. They looked like pirates or mercenaries, though these two professions often allow for dual employment. After all, in a ruined area without strong suppression and a codified code of law, finding a good citizen was like looking for a sheep among a pack of wolves.

"General?" Fenrir smiled. "A general is higher than an admiral, right?" This way, Chen Jing can't refuse my request from now on.

"I need to eat more meat. I've lost weight recently. It's tiring to find food on my own when my family isn't around." She had just finished eating a sky-watching bug (a giant creature 72 kilometers long with the ability to travel between stars) that she had accidentally captured yesterday.

Thinking of this, when Fenrir looked at the creature in front of him again, his eyes were very different. Fenrir stared at it as if it were prey, and it was moving its fat and huge body to get away from Fenrir.

Any creature with a little bit of common sense would not take the initiative to challenge Fenrir, because Fenrir was born with extremely strong pressure. In his childhood, this pressure was to protect himself, but in his youth, it became an effective weapon.

Fenrir just stood there motionless, and the evil god derivatives around her didn't dare to fight her one-on-one.

"Tsk, I thought you had some backbone, but I didn't expect you to be such a weakling." The sword flashed everywhere, and the entire area instantly turned into a dead zone. Fenrir's power made the gas in this area form a meat grinder. Countless buildings and fragments of flesh and blood rejoined the next round of strangulation.

In less than two minutes, before Fenrir could move a step, the giant monster had turned into flying debris all over the sky.

The pirates sat on the ground, shaking constantly. Just now, except for the place where they were, this place was completely razed to the ground.

Fenrir yawned and raised his eyebrows, "What a hassle! I'm going to start a big cleanup."

"..." The messenger appeared from behind a creature and split it in half: "Wait a moment! We will be there soon."

Fenrir nodded, "Come on." His expression was serious.

"You won't help?" The messenger was a little confused.

"I'll just provide moral support." Fenrir said, his ears twitching.

"Can you do it?" Fenrir pointed at the Silver Knight. "You could have cut that one in half, but why did you avoid the vital parts? Finish it quickly and go back."

The Silver Knight was stunned: "But its thinking organ is at the bottom, so I chose to attack the thinking organ instead of the waist."

"Is that so? Well, keep working hard." Then she continued to be lazy.

"Can you please help me? Otherwise, I will write a letter to the admiral and have him withhold your food for ten days or half a month." The messenger took out his trump card.

Fenrir was stunned: "Ugh! No way."

"Then you have to work hard!"

"Are you sure? Don't you want to practice your combat skills?"

"Omnics are born with these abilities and don't need to train them."

Fenrir could only nod heavily: "Alright, alright, but if I do it, you have to promise me one thing."

"no sooner said than done."

"Snack."

This was expected. Not to mention the intelligent machines that didn't know their original appearance, even Chen Jing had seen through these gods now. They were lazy and had no goals or dreams. They spent all day planning how to enjoy life. In comparison, the Norse pantheon was more progressive. At least there were internal struggles and Ragnarok. In the Greek pantheon, those gods knew how to torment humans all day long. Not to mention the stallion pioneer Zeus, how many people could figure out his family?

By now, few people in the fleet believed that they could have any grand ambitions, and even Loki was only slightly wary.

Fenrir put a hand to his lips, smiled and said, "That's good." Golden blood with a slight turbidity drew a formation in the air, and twenty-four runes existed between illusion and reality.

Fenrir chanted: "hagalaz! perero! wyrd!" Then he waved his hand, and the shadow of a giant tree appeared behind him.

"Okay." As soon as the words fell, a sound like thunder was heard in the sky.

Wolves! A pack of wolves, covering the sky and blocking out the sun, walked on the wind in the sky.

"That is, my followers." Fenrir said.

The Messenger and Silver Knight's first reaction was shock.

Chen Jing felt heartache when he saw this scene.

Because these wolves want to eat his food.

Chen Jing only hoped that 233 could help him buy more meat. It was definitely unrealistic for him to catch so much by himself.

"The leaders are Hati and Skull. They seem to have trouble digesting food. They haven't had the energy to chase the sun and moon lately. Soul and Mani have to stop occasionally to wait for them."

"Wait!" Chen Jing looked puzzled. "Didn't the Fenrir Twins devour the sun and the moon? Why did the sun and the moon stop to wait for them?"

Loki shook his head and sighed, "Alas—do you know why I can move freely outside instead of being locked up inside?"

"I don't know. This is very different from what I know." You two have become women!

"Because Odin believes that if fate is inevitable, then we must embrace it. Escaping it won't change anything. Only by facing it bravely can we have a chance of survival."

“That’s the right idea.”

"No, no, no, this is just the official statement."

"What's the real situation?"

"She's a die-hard sister-con."

“…” I guessed the ending, but not the beginning.

"Does this necessarily have anything to do with the harmonious coexistence of the Twin Wolves and the Sun and Moon?"

"You know what flying a kite is?"

"Um."

“The thread cannot be broken.”
