[The previous version got stuck on my double-open book]
Humanity's history before the great event was extremely glorious and brilliant. They lived on a planet called Blue Star, without having to fight so many enemies or go crazy just to survive. Even until the great event occurred, they were unaware of the existence of the gods (the naming of the "source" is a controversial topic in all civilizations, so I'm using a more general term here).
That very comfortable life ended on that day, when our ancestors, pure humans, faced the cosmic catastrophe - Uakomen. To this day, most humans are afraid of them, not because of genetics, not because of emotion, but because of respect for the decision of such a terrible creature.
They possessed bodies that were beyond the imagination of humans of that era. Any Uakomen that entered its growth period was a super creature with a body length of more than seven light seconds. Moreover, hundreds of billions of insects (about 60 meters long) were parasitic on this creature. It could even swallow the Earth's satellite in one bite.
No one knows what kind of despair that is. Fortunately, they did not have to endure all this. Uakomen left at the level of Jupiter. Its prey was not this kind of near-Earth civilization, but it turned around and launched about 70,000 insects to the earth. The largest "meteorite" among them was 371 meters long.
What's more, compared to the insects that Uakomen mentioned, to humans they are creatures with wisdom, extraordinary strength, and invincible bodies. They also believe in the God of the Abyss (whose main believers are demons and fallen ones), and possess the knowledge and divine power bestowed by it (in different civilizations, this supernatural power has different names, but they undoubtedly all come from the "sources").
The one-sided beating lasted for three months. Humanity's defense was a joke from the very beginning, and it ended up destroying its own homeland with its own hands.
At the most dangerous moment for humanity, an event occurred, the origin of which remains unknown to us to this day: an unknown hero saved humanity, sending one-third of humanity off Earth, opening a wormhole and sending them to a corner of the universe, where humanity began its exile until the beginning of a new era.
The most accurate account I've found of that event comes from an unnamed human, and while I enjoy the story for its dramatic appeal, I'm honestly unsure if it's credible. But then again, history books don't always reflect the truth. (This was the historical setting of the first edition of this book.)
(This is a character I created for someone before. It has been used in many well-known villains. I think it’s pretty good.) Denep Arinsal
Overview: He didn't come from a prominent family. His grandfather was a refugee who had fled to this plateau. His father was a carpenter, and the family lived a hardworking life in a quiet village. Life would have been much the same, but he fell in love with a patrolman's daughter, who had told him about the big cities. During the war, this passionate young man joined the renowned Youth Army (a unit that would later produce many powerful men). He served there until the war's end, and with his retirement benefits, he moved to the capital. With limited education, he self-studied and enrolled in university, where he met someone who changed his life.
At that time, the country was still ruled by the previous king, but the politics was dirty and corrupt. Patriotic young people formed a political party and decided to change this situation. He met Emile, the leader of the "Progress and National Party" at university. Through his friendship with Emile, Denep developed his own political goals. After the small party was disbanded, he formed a team. Because it was an underground organization, it had no official name, but outsiders called it the "Black Shark". Denep communicated with the capitalists who were full of old nobles and royal families, and gradually controlled the entire country through various means including assassination and bribery. Finally, in a war, he lured the old king to death and supported the queen to the throne. They reached an agreement, forming a model in which the queen was in power on the surface and Denep was actually in power.
Appearance: A serious, dark-haired, gloomy man with somewhat sickly pale skin, inherited blue irises, a large frame, and a very burly build. He has a striking scar on his right arm and an injury to his left eye. He's not considered handsome, but he doesn't care about his appearance.
Personality: Thoughtful, likes careful planning and layout, extremely cautious, and has a very high IQ, so even some very subtle changes can be quickly introduced into his own planning model. He is never blindly confident, rational, but a bit rigid. He has some unknown experiences, so he rarely expresses emotions, and it seems that nothing will cause emotional fluctuations.
He is actually a very kind person, with a conscience that politicians don't have, but his kindness is somewhat paranoid, and he is obsessed with making the country achieve what he thinks is "order" according to his own ideas. Although he seems to be a cruel person, he is actually just not good at expressing himself.
Hobbies: Powerful subordinates, interesting opponents, challenging things, his own children, his wife, everything is under control.
ability:
1. Excellent economic acumen, proficient in financial manipulation and policy guidance.
2. Unrivaled learning ability among humans, with exaggerated knowledge reserves and proficiency in multiple languages.
3. Can drive almost all means of transportation.
4. He has a very high level of technical skills and has built an airplane by himself. There is a set of tools in the basement of his home that can satisfy his creative desire.
5. He is a legendary general with rich war experience and has served as commander-in-chief three times. His command ability is known to the whole world, which is also related to his disguised identity as "Chief of the General Staff".
6. Superpower: Heart of the Wolf Pack, can use the abilities of subordinates in a short period of time, shift the focus to subordinates, control the bodies of subordinates, kill subordinates, and increase the strength of one's own body.
