Chapter 8
What's there to worry about? What could a grown man like him possibly have to worry about at home?
Yun Qi ignored the phone on the sofa and went straight to the door. She opened it with a puzzled tone, "What's wrong, Lu Yun? I was taking a shower and didn't hear you call me."
Lu Yun swallowed back all his words the moment he saw Yun Qi.
She had just taken a shower, and her skin, soaked in hot water, had a pinkish hue, a rosy white. Her full red lips were even more vibrant, like a blood-sucking fairy.
Yun Qi came out wearing a bathrobe. Compared to his white skin, Lu Yun was dazzled by the whiteness of the bathrobe. His round, full breasts bulged in an arc. Lu Yun knew how wonderful they felt to the touch and how sweet they smelled.
A surge of heat rushed to the top of his head, and he felt an itch in his nose. Lu Yun reached out and touched it, and in Yun Qi's surprised and wide eyes, he said nonchalantly, "It's too hot, I got a nosebleed."
Yun Qi quickly had someone come in, pulled out a few tissues and stuffed them into Lu Yun's mouth, frowning: "What do you need me for so late?"
Lu Yun tried to look away from Yun Qi and said, looking at the table in front of him, "I just sent you a message but you didn't reply. I thought you were still outside and I was worried about you."
Yun Qi laughed: "What is there to worry about? I'm a grown man, what am I afraid of?"
Lu Yun's voice rose slightly with excitement: "There are so many things to be afraid of! Think about it, we're not ordinary men now, we're gay! We have to be careful of those who have ill intentions towards us. Many of them are just trying to trick us into bed, to play around and then discard us!"
In the world of succubi, there is no such thing as gay or not gay, only like or dislike. Yun Qi had learned about this in the human world, but not much. Now, hearing Lu Yun mention it, she was still somewhat surprised: "Is that so?"
They just sleep with you and then discard you. How come they're like us succubi, who are used and then discarded?
Yun Qi's expression shifted, and she pursed her lips.
Lu Yun, unaware of his thoughts, probed indirectly, "Who were you having dinner with just now?"
Yun Qi paused when he heard the question, thinking that since he had already failed, he might as well just say it directly. With that thought, he looked at Lu Yun frankly and said, "I didn't go to eat just now. I went to a gay bar."
"Crack..."
Yun Qi: "Hmm? What was that sound?"
Lu Yunjian waved his hand with a smile: "There was no sound, you must have misheard."
He stared intently at Yun Qi; that was the sound of my heart breaking…
Lu Yun took several deep breaths, veins throbbing on his forehead, his hands clenched tightly: "What are you doing going to a gay bar? It's dirty there, and they're all very casual."
Yun Qi recalled the taste from just now, as if it were still lingering on the tip of her nose, and wrinkled her nose uncomfortably: "I didn't go in, I just looked at it from the door and left."
Lu Yun relaxed her tense body a little and forced a smile for Yun Qi: "It was the right thing not to go in, there's nothing to see inside."
Yun Qi hadn't gone inside yet, but just smelling it made him feel uncomfortable. So he agreed with Lu Yun's words. How fun could a place with such an unpleasant smell be? He should have saved his time for training down there instead.
Yun Qi sighed, which Lu Yun keenly noticed. Thinking that Yun Qi was sighing because she couldn't go in and see what it was like inside, Lu Yun immediately asked, "What's wrong? Why are you sighing?"
Yun Qi looked at him and said, "If I had known, I wouldn't have gone. It's a waste of my time. I would have been better off going down to train."
Lu Yun's heart, which had been in his throat, suddenly relaxed and settled back into place. He chuckled, and the tight skin on his face relaxed. He said, "Right, there's nothing fun inside. It's smelly and messy. It's better to exercise with me."
When Yun Qi heard him say it smelled bad, he nodded in deep agreement. However, he noticed that Lu Yun seemed to know a lot about gay bars, so he turned his head and asked curiously, "Lu Yun, you seem to know a lot about gay bars. Have you ever been inside one?"
Without a second's hesitation, Lu Yun shook his head decisively: "No, I've never been inside. Let alone inside, I haven't even gotten close to the edge."
He looked at Yun Qi with sparkling eyes, his eyes practically screaming, "I'm a man of integrity! Praise me! Praise me now!!"
Unfortunately, Yun Qi couldn't understand that look in his eyes. Hearing that he hadn't been there either, he couldn't help but feel a little disappointed. He was quite curious to know what it was like inside.
Yun Qi thought about it for a while and decided to go online when he had time to look up what gay bars are like. With the internet so developed now, he was sure he could find out.
Lu Yun sat down next to Yun Qi, wanting to talk to her, but for some reason, while she was looking at Yun Qi's face, her gaze drifted down and she saw something she shouldn't have.
The two were sitting together. Yun Qi was thinking, his hands naturally placed to his sides, and his robe was slightly open because of his movements, revealing enough light to be seen.
Lu Yun stared intently, his brain screaming warnings, "Don't look! Don't look! Yun Qi will think you're a pervert and kick you out! Look away!"
But his eyes seemed to be glued to Yun Qi's chest muscles, unable to move an inch away, as if glued shut with 520 glue.
Yun Qi snapped out of his thoughts and heard increasingly heavy breathing beside him. A question mark popped into his head: what was breathing in his ear, and it sounded rather pleasant.
Turning his head, he saw Lu Yun's face flushed red, so red it was unbelievable, like a boiled shrimp. His whole face was red, and Yun Qi almost thought his eyes were red too.
Yun Qi was stunned. After recovering, she reached out and waved her hand in front of Lu Yun's blank stare: "Lu Yun?"
Seeing that he still didn't move, she followed his gaze to her own—
The next second, Yun Qi's face turned as red as Lu Yun's. He grabbed his robe and covered himself up completely.
Lu Yun was also brought back to his senses by this action, but his gaze was still blank and unfocused. He then moved his gaze from the chest muscles to Yun Qi's red face.
The two sat facing each other, seemingly competing to see who could blush redder, without uttering a word.
Lu Yun's eyes darted around, filled with deep affection. Yun Qi's Adam's apple bobbed, and she became even more embarrassed under Lu Yun's gaze. When she spoke, her voice was hoarse: "Lu Yun, why...why are you staring at me like that..."
Lu Yun: "It looks good."
"Don't look at me. I'm not good-looking."
"nice."
"It's so late, you should go home. You have to go to work tomorrow."
"nice."
Lu Yun seemed to have become a broken record, unable to utter a single word other than "good-looking." The blush on Yun Qi's face spread down her neck and down her entire body, turning her completely red. Her robe was loosely held, revealing half of her chest, which was also red and alluring, making Lu Yun even more dizzy.
He couldn't control his body and slowly moved towards Yun Qi. As soon as he moved, Yun Qi was at a loss.
Before Lu Yun arrived, there was a yang energy carrying a strong sense of affection, with a scent that was even more alluring and sweeter than before, leaving Yun Qi somewhat dazed.
With his eyes glazed over, Lu Yun got closer and closer, and Yun Qi couldn't help but lean in as well. Everything happened so perfectly, like water flowing into a channel.
An ambiguous atmosphere, warm lighting, bare chests, alluring red, heavy breathing.
Yun Qi heard a heartbeat, very clearly, but it wasn't his. Whose was it?
Besides him, Lu Yun was the only other person in the room. That was Lu Yun's heartbeat, so fast. Was Lu Yun nervous too? He was very nervous too.
He wondered what it would feel like to kiss her. He'd never kissed anyone before. Did a kiss signify a confirmed relationship? Did Lu Yun like him too? If she didn't like him, why was she so close? Why was she kissing him?
The two were very close, their breaths colliding. Yun Qi smelled a scent other than the yang energy. It was a scent that Lu Yun naturally carried, very fragrant, unlike the scent of yang energy.
Just as the two were about to kiss, a hand blocked their way. Yun Qi was stunned. What was that? Was it a mouth? Although it was soft and warm, something just didn't feel right.
With trembling eyelashes, Yun Qi opened her eyes and realized what was blocking the two of them—a hand, Lu Yun's hand.
Yun Qi didn't understand why. He was still thinking, "Aren't we going to kiss again?" I just took a shower, I smell nice and I'm very clean.
He watched in confusion as Lu Yun sat up straight, her eyes still fixed on him, but she covered her mouth with her hand.
Yun Qi licked her lips; the lingering yang energy on Lu Yun's palm still smelled quite sweet.
Seeing his actions, Lu Yun jumped up from the sofa, looking flustered and stammering, "It's late, I'll go back first."
Before Yun Qi could say anything, Lu Yun hurriedly crawled out on his knees, looking as disheveled as could be.
Yun Qi hadn't recovered yet; the sweet scent of yang and a refreshing fragrance still lingered in her nostrils—all of these were Lu Yun's scents.
The sound of the door closing brought Yun Qi back to her senses.
He stared at the spot where Lu Yun had just sat, his brows furrowing deeper and deeper. Why did he run away? Why did he run away after saying just one sentence? Didn't he want to kiss him?
Was it all just a misperception before? Was I just being delusional?
Yun Qi's eyes darkened inch by inch. He pulled open his collar and looked inside, wondering if he had really misunderstood Lu Yun. Was it because he wasn't dressed properly and he was disgusted by what he saw, or was the atmosphere just too good and he couldn't help himself...?
Yun Qi was somewhat heartbroken. Although he knew that his physique wouldn't be very popular, this was the first time he had faced such a blow. He was like a snail that had tentacled itself out, but now, frightened, it completely withdrew.
Lu Yun didn't go back to his room immediately. He leaned against Yun Qi's door, listening to his own heart pounding like a drum, and kept telling himself, "I'm going crazy, I'm going crazy, I'm going crazy. I haven't even started confessing yet and I'm already trying to take liberties with her. What am I doing? Don't I have any shame?" He almost lost control of himself.
Looking at the arrogant little Lu beneath him, Lu Yun fiercely condemned himself: What a pervert! How could I do such a thing! No, no, no, what if Yun Qi hates him for this, what if she thinks he's frivolous?
Separated by the door, the two were lost in thought, unable to connect on any point.
