Chapter 8 Fairies Can't Have Mouths

Chapter 8 Fairies Can't Have Mouths

Early the next morning.

Huo family villa.

The driver was waiting at the door early, and when he saw Qiao Xi coming, he opened the door respectfully.

Qiao Xi was about to get on the bus when she saw a man lazily leaning inside. He was apparently calm and cool, but the red mole on his neck added a hint of abstinence.

Qiao Xi was surprised.

In the morning, she told Huo Xingzhou that she was going to the Chinese medicine store to buy herbs, but she didn't expect him to be in the car.

"I'll go with you." The man said lightly.

Qiao Xi nodded modestly.

As the car drove along, he was flipping through his phone while she was bored and looking out the window, distracted.

"Master, Madam. We have arrived. It is difficult to park in front of Wanren Hall."

The driver parked the car in the parking lot at the end of the street.

Qiao Xi glanced at Huo Xingzhou's legs and said, "Mr. Huo, please wait for me in the car."

"Um."

He just didn't feel comfortable with her going out alone.

Huo Xingzhou and others continued to look at their phones in the car, while Qiao Xi walked towards the busy street.

Wanrentang is the largest Chinese medicine store in Haicheng. Qiao Xi could see the huge crowds of people from a distance, and it was extremely crowded.

She walked closer and listened for a few words. It turned out that Wanrentang was selling inferior medicinal materials as good ones, and the customers came to the store to seek justice, and a dispute arose.

"Our herbs are all the best. If you can't provide evidence, don't spit blood at us!" The pharmacist blushed and shouted, "How can we know if you are lying?"

"Nonsense! I still have the prescription for the medicine!"

"Pay me money! You guys are making dirty money! What if the food harms the patients?"

The pharmacist chased the customer away, saying sarcastically, "Get out of here and stop messing around! There's no good in offending our boss!"

As he spoke, he closed the door, and the crowd suddenly became chaotic, pushing and shoving each other.

Just heard a scream!

"Someone fainted!"

"Call an ambulance! Is there a doctor?"

A young man with a pale face was lying on the ground, breathing weakly and unconscious. Passersby dared not touch him at all, fearing that he would die accidentally!

Seeing this, Qiao Xi walked over quickly and shouted, "Please everyone spread out and make sure there is ventilation!"

She squatted down to examine the patient. The patient's limbs were cold, his eyes were sunken and his mouth was open. This was a simple case of dizziness and asthenia. She took the needle from her sleeve and inserted it into the Baihui and Shuigou acupuncture points to wake him up and open his mind.

Her face was calm and her fingers were particularly steady. An expert could see the skill she possessed in needlework.

"Little girl, can you do this? Human lives are at stake. This is not a game of house or being a hero..." As soon as the middle-aged man who was watching finished speaking, the handsome and weak man slowly opened his eyes.

"Wake up, wake up."

"I never thought that a little girl could be so amazing!"

When the eldest son of the Sun family woke up, he saw a girl with a delicate face and pure temperament leaning over to look at him, like a fairy. He was about to thank her when his eyes flashed with infatuation.

The fairy said, "Your waist and knees are sore and your kidneys are deficient in water. You should go to the hospital for a comprehensive checkup. Due to limited conditions, I can only use acupuncture on you."

He almost fainted from taking a breath.

After Qiao Xi finished speaking, she made sure that he was fine, took out the needle and left. Since there was a problem with the herbs at Wan Ren Tang, she would go to Fu An Tang across the street to buy some.

"Young man, that girl said you have a weak kidney. Listen to the advice from big brother, that thing has a limited effect, the more you use it, the less effective it will be, so take good care of yourself." The enthusiastic crowd shouted loudly.

He must have died today.

"Weimeng, my precious son!" Mrs. Sun, wearing gold and silver, rushed over with her bag, wiping her tears, "I told you not to take these Chinese medicines randomly, why didn't you listen to my advice? You go to Wanrentang to get medicine every day and believe the nonsense of those quack doctors!"

"Mom, don't call me by my full name!" Sun Weimeng lay on the ground weakly and was about to cry. There was no one in this world that he cared about anymore.

The crowd of onlookers described the danger that had just occurred and the young doctor's instructions.

"Where is the savior? Our Sun family will thank him generously!" asked Mrs. Sun.

"Hey, she's across the street!"

Mrs. Sun, who loved her son dearly, looked around and saw a familiar face. She was stunned!

How could it be her!

Qiao Xike didn't know that someone recognized her, so she got into the car carrying a bunch of medicinal herbs.

"So long?" the man put down his phone and looked at her and asked.

"Something unexpected happened."

Huo Xingzhou's eyes flashed with a dark light, and he said without pursuing the matter, "I got a call from home, saying my sister and father are back home."

"Should I prepare a meeting gift?"

"No, they want to prepare it for you."

When they returned home, they heard the sound of TV and conversation in the living room. As soon as Qiao Xi entered the room, she saw a cute and lively girl running towards her, "Sister-in-law! I am Jiaojiao."

"Hello."

Qiao Xi really likes such straightforward and simple girls.

"Qiao Xi, nice to meet you. I didn't attend your wedding." Huo Xingzhou's father Huo Jiancheng stuffed a big red envelope into Qiao Xi's hand, "I don't know what you like, just something a little tacky."

Qiao Xi glanced at Huo Xingzhou, who gestured for her to accept it.

She held the thick red envelope and said, "Thank you."

"Sister-in-law, please don't be polite to my father. He has plenty of private money."

Mrs. Huo glared at her and said, "Don't be so disrespectful. How can you talk like that?"

Huo Sijiao said, "I am happy to see my sister-in-law. She is much better than that heartless woman who ran away after the car accident. Fortunately, she is Xingyue..."

"Jiaojiao!"

Mrs. Huo interrupted her with a sharp voice. Huo Sijiao shrank her shoulders and dared not say anything more. She also realized that it was not good to mention that woman in front of Qiao Xi.

Xingyue...Foundation?

Qiao Xi was confused and unsure, so she decided to ask Huo Xingzhou when she had the chance.

"Sir, Madam," Aunt Qian reported, "The old house called and said we're having a dinner tonight." The Huo family would set aside one day every month to hold a family dinner.

Du Ya frowned, a little unhappy: "Why hold a family dinner at this critical moment? It's like a weasel wishing a happy new year to a chicken. There is no good intention."

Seeing this, Huo Jiancheng comforted her, "Since you don't want to go, I'll make a phone call and tell them that our second room won't be going."

He picked up his phone and called the old house to explain the situation. But before he hung up, the whole family saw that his face became more serious.

"Is this news true?" Huo Jiancheng's voice was trembling.

After getting the answer, he hung up the phone in a daze.

"What happened?" Du Ya asked anxiously.

Huo Jiancheng glanced at his family and whispered a few words in her ear.

Du Ya was shocked: "Is this news true?"

"It's absolutely true. The old man has verified it."

"Go! Even if it's a banquet at Hongmen, I'll accept it. I absolutely can't miss such a good opportunity." Du Ya made the decision.

Huo Sijiao complained unhappily, "Mom, what's the point of going to this family banquet? The eldest wife must be trying to humiliate us. I don't want to see Huo Beiting's smug face."

"We have to go because they found Cheng Han's apprentice who said he can cure this disease."

Huo Sijiao took a breath of cool air and her brows lit up with joy.

"My brother's legs are saved!"

Qiao Xi heard this and looked down at Huo Xingzhou. He must trust Cheng Han's apprentice more than her, a nobody with an unknown teacher.

The light coming in through the French window cast a thin layer of light on his well-defined face, but it could not illuminate the depths of his eyes. There was no trace of joy on his face, but instead he held her wrist and whispered a warning.

"When we get to the old house, stand behind me no matter what happens and don't say a word."

Qiao Xi was stunned for a moment.

Will something go wrong at the family dinner?
