Extra 8 Modern

When Guangtuan reshaped Cheng Chen's body, the clothes he wore were those of this era, including his short hair, but his appearance remained the same, he was no longer a young man.

"Have you eaten yet?"

Cheng Chen wasn't hungry, but he hadn't eaten yet, so he shook his head.

"Well, it's noon now, let's go have a meal, and I'll take you to find someone later."

When Cheng Chen heard this, she knew that she was going to find her husband, and she smiled with her eyes curved and thanked him.

After dinner, only Officer Chen took Cheng Chen to find Wang Yu. After all, the police station was busy and not both of them could go.

"Get in the car."

Cheng Chen looked at the car in front of him, feeling a little hesitant. He had just walked along the road and saw boxes like this running around. They must be cars, but he didn't know how to get on. He stared at the car with some embarrassment.

Seeing that he didn't move and the child's face was full of confusion, Officer Chen could only open the door for him and said, "Go in."

Cheng Chen bent down and sat on it, then said to Officer Chen who came up next, "Thank you."

Officer Chen thought to himself, the child is very polite.

The research institute is not far from here, and it only takes about ten minutes to drive there. Cheng Chen was a little nervous when he sat on it at first, but later he got used to it.

Officer Chen glanced at the child thoughtfully. First time riding in a car? "What's your relationship with the person you're looking for?"

Cheng Chen: "He is my husband."

Officer Chen was stunned for a moment. "Husband?" You mean husband, right? Officer Chen took a deep breath and consoled himself. "It's okay. I've seen a lot. It's the 21st century. Homosexuality is nothing."

The title of "husband" is quite novel. Young people just know how to have fun.

The two arrived at the entrance of the research institute and told the guard to look for Wang Yu. Fortunately, there was only one person named Wang Yu in the institute, so it was easy to find him.

Wang Yu, who had just finished lunch, was also surprised to hear someone looking for him, but he still came to meet him.

A policeman, a boy, but when he met the boy's gaze, his heart began to beat uncontrollably, as if it was about to jump out.

Wang Yu covered his chest and saw the joy and love in the boy's eyes. He clearly didn't know him, but he seemed so familiar.

Officer Chen: "Are you Wang Yu?"

Wang Yu then turned his gaze away from Cheng Chen's face, "Yes, what do you want to talk to me about?"

Officer Chen glanced between the two of them. Their expressions didn't seem unfamiliar just now, so why didn't they say hello if they knew each other? Why did they act like strangers again? Officer Chen was baffled.

"He's looking for you, do you know him?"

Wang Yu originally wanted to say that he didn’t know him, but after seeing the boy’s face, he swallowed his words back. He felt that he would regret it if he said he didn’t know him.

"know."

Officer Chen looked at the two of them. Although he felt something seemed amiss, they were all adults, and since they said they knew each other, he had found the person.

"Okay, he doesn't seem familiar with this place, so he said he wanted to come look for you. It's okay as long as you know each other. I'll drop him off, so I'm leaving first."

Cheng Chen thanked him.

What a polite child! He smiled and said, "You're welcome. I'm serving the people."

Cheng Chen didn't understand what it meant to serve the people, but since he helped her find her husband, she was still very grateful and thanked him again.

Officer Chen waved his hand and drove away.

She turned around, walked to Wang Yu, smiled at him, her eyes shining, and said, "Husband, I'm here to see you."

Wang Yu was dazzled by the boy's smile and started laughing too, but he was stunned when he heard the word "husband". This name seemed very familiar, as if he had heard it many times.

For the first time, Wang Yu felt absurd. Did they really know each other? But he couldn't remember it no matter how hard he tried.

"May I have your name?"

Cheng Chen's joyful look dimmed. Her husband really didn't remember her. Her beautiful eyes quickly became misty.

Wang Yu looked at the person in front of him who looked aggrieved and about to cry. For the first time, he felt helpless and his heart began to ache.

"Don't cry." Wang Yu took out a tissue and wiped his tears. He actually wanted to hug the boy, but he was afraid of being abrupt as it was the first time they met.

Cheng Chen lowered her head and looked at her toes. She saw a pair of shoes that were different from before. Everything was different here. It was an unfamiliar world, and her husband didn't remember her. She felt so sad.

But her husband was in this world, and she couldn't leave. She sniffed, then looked up and said, "My name is Cheng Chen."

Cheng Chen, these two words made Wang Yu's soul tremble. Achen, Achen, it seemed that he had said it countless times, so familiar.

"Achen."

When Cheng Chen heard these two words, he could no longer hold back and hugged Wang Yu, tears falling uncontrollably.

Wang Yu raised his hands at a loss, but he didn't want to push the person in his arms away. He could only touch his back soothingly until Cheng Chen's emotions stabilized and he withdrew from Wang Yu's arms.

Wang Yu looked at his empty arms with a sense of loss. He lowered his head and said gently to the boy who was half a head shorter than him, "I'll take you to my office and we can talk it over."

Cheng Chen nodded and followed Wang Yu obediently. He found an empty conference room, brought Cheng Chen in, and poured him a glass of water.

Looking at the well-behaved boy opposite, he asked, "Do we know each other?"

Cheng Chen nodded.

Seeing the person opposite him nodding, to be honest he really didn't know him. There was no such person in his memory of almost thirty years, but this familiar feeling couldn't be faked. Moreover, he didn't know why, but he was sure that Cheng Chen would not lie.

"How did you meet?"

Cheng Chen looked at his husband. What should he say? His husband remembered him. Thinking of this, he felt sad and a little aggrieved.
