Chapter 8 Meat

When Chen Yang entered the micro-realm, the sun was high in the sky, around noon.

The fire has gone out, but the charcoal is still burning; a little dry grass will reignite the flames.

After entering the micro-world, even the headache from being drunk disappeared completely, leaving me feeling refreshed.

Although the HZ region hasn't entered the smog season yet, it can't compare to the air in the microcosm.

European Emperor rolled around in the grass, while Chen Yang went to check yesterday's fishing traps.

Luckily, one day a tiny fish, no bigger than the palm of your hand, fell into the shallows.

"We've got grilled fish to eat!"

Chen Yang used his stubborn blade to quickly prepare the fish and then placed it over the fire to smoke.

On his way back, he found a few wild mint plants and dug them up without hesitation, intending to plant them near the cabin. They were a great spice with many uses.

The fish was cooked quickly, and Chen Yang also made himself some mint tea.

"Perfect!"

After finishing the grilled fish, you get a cup of hot mint tea – what a treat!

Of course, Chen Yang didn't forget about the lucky one. He specially picked out the fish bones and fed the lucky one several mouthfuls of fish.

The puppy eats everything, which saves Chen Yang a lot of trouble.

Next, Chen Yang began to explore the surrounding area, hoping to find some food.

But his good luck seemed to have run out for the time being. There wasn't even a wild fruit tree around, so he could only set his sights on the wild rabbit he had discovered earlier.

As the saying goes, a cunning rabbit has three burrows; if he wants to catch a wild rabbit, he must cut off all its escape routes.

Chen Yang patiently searched for a long time under the scorching sun, blocking all the holes he could find with stones.

"Now let's see how you escape."

Satisfied, he squatted at the only remaining exit, placing the damp wood there to burn, sending plumes of smoke billowing into the cave.

"I'm afraid the fumes will kill you this time."

Just as Chen Yang was feeling smug, a gray figure emerged from the cave, and he felt a violent impact on his face.

Two screams rang out simultaneously, one from Chen Yang and the other from the wild rabbit.

The hare, driven mad by the smoke, stumbled and crashed into Chen Yang's face like a comet hitting the earth.

Chen Yang was knocked so hard that he landed on his buttocks on the stone ground. His delicate buttocks, only covered by his grass skirt, collided with countless sharp pebbles. The soreness was indescribable.

By the time he came to his senses, the rabbit had vanished without a trace.

"I…………"

Chen Yang was on the verge of tears. The rabbit's agility had exceeded his expectations, and his attempt to ambush it had backfired.

The rabbit escaped, and Chen Yang's rabbit meat feast was over. He had no choice but to temporarily abandon the hunt and bring the fire back to the cabin.

He needs to return to the cabin to collect the reward for successfully starting a fire.

"Congratulations on completing the task and receiving a skill book."

"The Sacred Flame": After using it, you can master dozens of life skills, and starting a fire will no longer be a problem for you in any environment.

"Skill book?"

Chen Yang looked at the skill book that the micro-world had rewarded him with some curiosity.

It was supposed to be a skill book, but it was just a piece of paper with the Chinese characters for "sacred flame" written on it. There was also a "use" option displayed in front of him.

Chen Yang hesitated for a moment, then directly clicked "Use".

The paper transformed into golden symbols that flooded his mind, and he felt as if his mind had suddenly been filled with many more things.

"This is……"

He was overjoyed; the various fire-starting techniques that appeared in his mind were as familiar as his own memories. In just an instant, he transformed into a fire-starting expert.

He believed that, given the right conditions, starting a fire would not be difficult for him.

More importantly, these are his memories, and they will not disappear even if he leaves the micro-realm.

This instantly gave him a lot of motivation. As long as he could continue to develop the micro-world and complete more tasks, he would receive various rewards in the future, which would definitely help him in his real life.

After the initial excitement, he began to consider the current situation.

The most important thing right now is food; food is more important than anything else.

"I should really learn how to make traps."

Chen Yang was somewhat distressed; it seemed unlikely he would be able to eat meat today.

Fortunately, the fish provided him with a lot of energy, and the kiwi fruit also provided some energy.

"While I still have the strength, let's make a spear."

Chen Yang's current experience is only enough to make such simple tools.

With the existence of the tenacious blade, making a spear was effortless, and he also made a harpoon while he was at it.

Then he began to renovate the cabin.

The cabin contained only a chair and a bed, hardly a comfortable living condition.

First, he made the bed, using large leaves and hay to create a soft but not very comfortable mattress.

Then he built a simple doghouse for the European Emperor to live in.

By the time he decided what to do next, it was already getting dark.

Under these conditions, even the simplest tasks take a considerable amount of time, and without a watch, it's easy to lose one's sense of time, causing people to work non-stop and expend excessive physical energy.

One fish wasn't enough for Chen Yang to replenish the calories he lost, and since he had no other food sources for the time being, he could only continue eating kiwis and wild strawberries.

As darkness fell, Chen Yang knew that staying in the micro-realm would only accelerate his energy depletion, so he had to exit and figure out a way to come back in.

That's the good thing about the micro-world; once you exit, you don't have to suffer from hunger or cold. When you re-enter, you're back in the same state as before you exited.

He spent a considerable amount of time collecting enough firewood, and by the time he finished, he was starving.

But Chen Yang knew that his body was still in a state of sleep and did not lack energy. So this time, he chose to continue sleeping.

This was the first time Chen Yang had seen light since waking up in the past few days.

After leaving the micro-world yesterday, he fell into a deep sleep, without dreaming or even realizing he was sleeping.

But the light filtering through the curtains clearly told him that it was already daylight.

I glanced at the time; it was only 7:10 in the morning.

"It seems I will definitely develop the good habit of going to bed early and waking up early from now on."

He silently got up, washed up, and pondered how to find food next.

You can survive on just fruit and fish, but you can't live without meat every day.

As for the operation of the inn, he didn't need to worry about it. Wang Bing was in charge of the operations, and he only needed to check on the situation occasionally.

If the inn is run properly, Wang Bing will receive a commission, and the commission is not low. The higher the turnover, the more he earns.

Although Chen Yang wanted to make money by running the inn, he was more interested in fulfilling his own desires and creating the inn of his dreams. Therefore, he sacrificed some of his profits for Wang Bing and the two girls.

Both girls have a base salary of 5,000 yuan, plus commission. If the inn is well-run, their salaries could easily exceed 10,000 yuan. Otherwise, why would two young, beautiful, and talented girls travel such a long distance to work for him?

The cheapest room at the Microworld Inn is priced at 1500 on a regular basis, while the most expensive room, the Remnant Summer, can reach nearly 4000.

If you're going to do something, you should do it well. That's why Chen Yang spent two million to build only five rooms and spared no expense in hiring a professional cleaning company. It was all to ensure the inn's high quality.

If he's just running a roadside inn, he might as well be content being a landlord.

Fortunately, the inn was converted from their own house; otherwise, even adding another million might not have been enough to achieve the current standard.

When he finished washing up and came out of the room, he found that Wang Bing and Jiang Yining were already awake, and Wang Bing was even cooking.

"I didn't sleep a wink last night. Even at my age, I was so excited I couldn't sleep. So I decided to get up early and make you breakfast."

Wang Bing smiled as he brought out the meat buns he had made himself. Chen Yang grabbed one and took a big bite, then let out a satisfied sound.

"It's so good to have meat!"
