As Chen Yang and his group advanced through the Tianyin Mountains, the camp underwent some changes due to the arrival of Dong Yujue and Chen Yang's parents.
Dong Yujue joined the camp construction team. Although she was well-suited for the hunting team, she was, after all, raised in the Shaolin Temple and couldn't bring herself to kill. Even after leaving the monastic life for many years, she still ate very little meat.
Li Su'er and Ye Wu became her shadows, following Dong Yujue around every day, asking her for advice on archery and martial arts.
Another unexpected thing is that Ye Wu and Xiao Qing actually broke up.
Moreover, after the breakup, both of them found themselves relieved.
The circumstances that brought them together were rather strange, and neither of them was aware of it. In fact, the relationship had been quite difficult for both of them during this period.
Ye Wu was with Xiao Qing more out of guilt and a sense of responsibility, while Xiao Qing felt she should be with her first man because Ye Wu had taken her virginity. However, she later realized that her obsession with her first time was not as deep as she had imagined.
During their time together, the two spent most of their time making love, but they were both clearly aware that it was just driven by desire and that they didn't really have any feelings for each other.
So they broke up, and neither of them was depressed after the breakup. They felt a little awkward when they first met, but they quickly got used to it.
Xiao Qing, on the contrary, has a very good relationship with Ye Wu's sister, Ye Wen. Even after breaking up with Ye Wu, their friendship remained unaffected.
After breaking up with his girlfriend, Ye Wu regained his title of "Ye the Cannon King" and actually managed to hook up with a female customer on the very first day.
"What a scumbag, that's too much." Li Su'er was extremely disgusted by this, and Xiao Qing also expressed her anger.
"You should at least be two days later!" she snapped at Ye Wu.
Ye Wu felt very wronged, but after thinking about it carefully, he realized that he had gone a bit too far, so he went to Xiao Qing's house to apologize.
No one knew what happened next, but Xiao Qing calmed down and Ye Wu continued to chase girls.
He suddenly became active again in the camp, since there were quite a few single women there.
"That scheming Chen Yang actually took two single women out with him," Ye Wu said resentfully.
"Alien Yang is such an upright person, do you think he's like you, always having crooked thoughts?" Li Su'er said disdainfully.
Ye Wu had a bitter look on his face. He had been warned by Wang Bing at the inn that morning not to make a move on Wang Qin.
Therefore, Ye Wu could only set his sights on Lini. He dared not touch Dong Yujue, firstly because he was no match for her, and secondly because she was too tall and clearly an inexperienced girl.
"Lini is still the best, a blonde, blue-eyed Western girl, and she just broke up with her boyfriend," Ye Wu muttered to himself.
"Why hasn't he flirted with me? Am I not charming enough?" Jiang Yining asked curiously.
"This guy won't make a move on people he knows too well. And he always stays away from innocent girls like you."
Ye Wen understood Ye Wu best, and explained to Jiang Yining.
Jiang Yining chuckled and said, "It seems that women have to be a little bad too."
"By the way, sister-in-law, how is my brother? I haven't seen him," Jiang Yining asked.
Ye Wen shook her head and said, "This incident was a huge blow to him. He went to the island in the middle of the lake to calm down."
"What?" Li Su'er asked curiously.
“My parents kicked my brother out of the house,” Jiang Yining said.
"Huh? How could that be? Brother Jiang is so filial, and Yining, why aren't you nervous at all?" Li Su'er exclaimed.
Others also gathered around, wanting to hear the whole story.
“My brother is just too filial. Actually, my parents are healthy and it's good for them to stay at home and do farm work occasionally. They save all the money I send back every month and don't worry about money. They also have good relations with the neighbors. But my brother still insists on the rule of not traveling far from one's parents. My parents have always felt guilty and hope that my brother will go out to work, but my brother just won't leave.”
"Such a filial son is a rare sight in this day and age," sighed Grandpa Yun.
“Grandpa, Yunhu is also very filial,” Jiang Yining said.
"And then what? And then what?" Li Su'er pressed.
“When I brought my sister-in-law Ye Wen with me this time, my brother said he wanted to stay at home. My dad finally couldn’t take it anymore, so he beat my brother severely with a wooden stick and kicked him out of the house, saying that he would not see my brother again until he saw his grandson.”
"Being beaten for being too filial is a first for me," Yun said speechlessly.
“I think this is a good thing for my brother too. He’s only making my parents feel guilty.”
“But Jiang Bo was very upset,” Ye Wen said.
She never expected that a grown man like Jiang Bo would kneel in front of her door and weep uncontrollably.
Although Jiang Bo found this scene shameful, to the point that he was too embarrassed to face Ye Wen, Ye Wen was also certain that she hadn't chosen the wrong person.
Jiang Bo is definitely not a mama's boy; he is simply acting out of filial piety and has a strong sense of responsibility. What could she possibly worry about with a man like that?
“Once his parents also enter the micro-world, we won’t have to worry about the elderly being lonely,” Dong Yujue suddenly said.
Ye Wen nodded and said, "That's what we told Jiang Bo too. Now, in reality, Jiang Bo is staying at his friend's house, while I'm staying at their house. His parents are so nice to me that I feel a little embarrassed, but thankfully Yining is here."
After saying that, Ye Wen patted Ye Wu again: "If you were half as good as your brother-in-law in making Mom and Dad worry less, they wouldn't have to worry about you every day."
Ye Wu was listening attentively when suddenly a slap came down on him. He said aggrievedly, "Your parents used to urge you to get married every day, and you still have the nerve to say that to me."
"You're still talking back," Ye Wen said, pinching Ye Wu's cheek. Ye Wu immediately begged for mercy.
"Alright, I'm going to curry favor with my future mother-in-law. You two chat first." After saying that, Li Su'er skipped and hopped to the fishpond.
Everyone remained silent and resumed their respective work.
Dong Yujue, a newcomer to the micro-world, is still not quite used to the rhythm here. She was raised by her master since she was a child and lived among a group of bald men. Although she became a fitness coach after growing up, she still is not used to the life of a big family.
In the micro-world, everyone lives together like a big family, enjoying each other's company and supporting themselves. This made her feel very uncomfortable, but she really liked the feeling.
Meanwhile, Chen Yang and his group, far away in the Tianyin Mountains, made a major discovery.
As they walked toward the valley, they indeed found a small stream beside it.
It was indeed a very small mountain stream, but it was more than enough to replenish our water supply. The water was so clear that it could be drunk directly without even being boiled, and it had a slightly sweet taste.
"Wait, what's that?!"
Guo Zifeng suddenly ran towards a tree, running at top speed without regard for his image, utterly excited. Chen Yang and the others had never seen Guo Zifeng run so fast before; even Bai Jing was astonished.
"What kind of tree is that?" Chen Yang asked.
"I don't know," everyone answered.
