When Chen Yang and his companions were about to land, they woke up on time. Although it was not dark in the micro-world yet, they had to get up, otherwise the flight attendants would really think they were going to sleep through the night.
It was just past 1 a.m. when Chen Yang landed, and Chen Liu called him.
"Dad, have you landed? Mom and I are waiting for you at the arrivals gate."
“Why would we come to pick up a child at the airport when they should be sleeping soundly in the middle of the night?” Chen Yang said.
"Hehe, I want to see my dad soon."
"Okay, I'll be right out. I'm waiting for the lucky one," Chen Yang said, then hung up the phone.
Li Su'er held Chen Yang's hand nervously, and Chen Yang gently patted the back of her hand to reassure her.
When Chen Yang and his group pushed the aircraft carrying the lucky man to the arrival gate, they immediately spotted the mother and child waiting in the crowd.
Mo Xi stood out wherever she was. She was dressed in ordinary clothes and stood there in an ordinary manner, but everyone could sense her extraordinary nature. Her unique temperament always made people feel unapproachable, and they didn't even have the courage to strike up a conversation with her, let alone with a child standing next to her.
"Dad! Su'er's mom!" Chen Liu waved to them.
Chen Yang walked over and picked up Chen Liu, who had run towards him.
"Woof woof!" The lucky dog was getting anxious in its pet carrier, but it wasn't time to let it out yet.
"Hello, you must be Su'er. This is our second meeting, isn't it? Chen Liu said you've been taking good care of him. Thank you so much," Mo Xi said with a smile, extending her hand to Li Su'er.
Li Su'er also nervously reached out her hand and said, "No, Chen Liu is very cute and never needs much care. I'm the one who's causing him trouble."
“That’s true,” Chen Yang said. Even Chen Liu nodded in agreement.
Li Su'er turned her head and glared at the father and son, who both scratched their heads and pretended not to see anything.
Mo Xi smiled slightly, then led the group to the parking lot.
The lucky one was finally freed and happily played with Chen Liu.
When the European Emperor was young, it was Chen Liu's best friend, but it rarely saw Chen Liu in reality, so it was very happy to see Chen Liu now.
"I've already prepared the guest rooms. Is it alright for the two of you to share a room?" Mo Xi asked as the car drove out of the airport.
Upon hearing this, Li Su'er froze, realizing the situation was about to become extremely awkward.
"No problem," Chen Yang replied naturally.
Mo Xidi paused almost imperceptibly for a moment, then said, "When do you plan to leave? Do you want to stay a couple more days?"
Sitting in the child safety seat, Chen Liu looked at Chen Yang with a longing expression.
Chen Yang smiled and patted his head, saying, "I'll take Chen Liu out for a day tomorrow, and then we'll go back. Chen Liu, would you like to come with me to the inn for a few days?"
"Okay, is that alright, Mom?"
Chen Liu nodded happily at first, then looked at Mo Xi and asked for her opinion.
“Okay, I’d love for you to relax for a few days and not study. I’ll ask your tutor for leave for you,” Mo Xi said.
"Great! I can eat Su'er's mother's herbal dishes again!" Chen Liu cheered.
Upon hearing this, Li Su'er was immediately delighted: "You're being so kind!"
Chen Liu nodded and said, "My mother only focuses on nutrition, so she can never taste the flavor."
Mo Xi rarely showed an embarrassed expression, and said, "I'm not very good at cooking. Su'er, could you teach me one or two dishes tomorrow?"
“Okay.” Li Su’er was taken aback at first, then said happily.
Chen Yang glanced at Chen Liu, and Chen Liu winked at him.
"This kid..." He was taken aback. It seemed that Chen Liu was using his status as a child to mediate the relationship between the two women and to help Li Su'er find her confidence by noticing her lack of self-confidence.
Chen Yang felt that Chen Liu's emotional intelligence might have surpassed that of some adults. Although his thinking patterns might not be up to par, his problem-solving abilities were already comparable to those of adults.
What a monster!
Chen Yang felt that Chen Liu might really defy the heavens in the future; wasn't that a bit too clever?
Mo Xi drove steadily and slowly, and soon arrived at her home.
Li Su'er felt a little awkward about having to stay at Chen Yang's ex-girlfriend's house, but fortunately, Chen Liu led them to the guest room. Moreover, upon closer reflection, Li Su'er realized that Mo Xi, who had the courage to let them stay, was much braver. Thinking of this, she felt that she herself was not as magnanimous as Mo Xi.
“Alright, my wife, I know you have a lot on your mind. Let’s enter the Micro Realm,” Chen Yang said to Li Su’er.
Li Su'er nodded. She really couldn't fall asleep without entering the micro-world.
"Alien Yang, you really don't mind me? You're turning down a goddess like Mo Xi."
“You cook better than her, and you’re cuter than her. Su’er, you’re a goddess too,” Chen Yang said with a smile.
Li Su'er pouted and said, "You only talk a good game. Alright, let's enter the Micro Realm."
She lay down and clicked to enter the micro-world.
Chen Yang hugged her and then entered the micro-world as well.
At that moment, Chen Liu knocked on Mo Xi's door. After Mo Xi opened the door, he stretched out his hand and said, "Mom, I'm here to sleep with you."
Mo Xi, who had been holding back her tears, finally let them flow. She knelt down and picked up Chen Liu.
“Mom, don’t cry. I love you and Dad equally. Su’er’s mom is also very good. I love you both. I will always be with you, Mom,” Chen Liu said.
Mo Xi wiped away her tears and smiled, "You're such a sensible child."
Chen Liu blinked and said, "There's nothing I can do about it. What can I do? I'm a genius. I used to think I was an alien, but I only recently found out I'm not."
Mo Xi pinched Chen Liu's cheek and said, "What nonsense are you talking about?"
"Really? I used to think I was an alien."
"So the aliens don't like eating Mom's cooking, right?"
"Mom, in this respect, I can't honestly say it's delicious. To be honest, Su'er's mom's cooking is a hundred times better than yours."
"Then I need to learn a few dishes from your mother, Su'er."
"Mom, I know you've taken two more cooking classes, but even a Michelin three-star chef couldn't teach you. I think you should give up. It's more reliable for me to cook for you when I'm a little older."
Mo Xi blushed slightly. Being looked down upon by her son and unable to refute him was truly frustrating. Cooking was a black hole for him; he himself couldn't eat much of what she made, so he could only choose some simple and nutritious Western dishes.
"Go to bed, little one, it's late."
"Mommy held me while I slept."
"Okay, okay, I'll hold you while you sleep."
When night falls and the coolness spreads across the earth with the moonlight, a warm embrace will surely make it a peaceful night to sleep.
Of course, this is only possible in the summer if you have air conditioning, otherwise you'll be unbearably hot.
