On Chen Yang's camera screen, the Azure Ape and the Snow King leader were locked in a fierce battle.
Their battles were exhilarating, like the most primal human fights. They used every part of their bodies—fists, feet, heads, teeth, torsos, and knees—without any rules or routines. But compared to the battle between the Azure Ape and Chen Yang, the battle between the Snow Kings was more savage and more captivating.
Each of their punches contains immense power, and their fighting style is the same as that of humans—punching and kicking. However, the Snow Demons are not as disciplined as humans; they simply rely on instinct to control their bodies and fight.
The two were roughly equal in strength, which made the battle all the more intense, almost a brutal, hand-to-hand combat. Their roars sounded like they could trigger an avalanche at any moment.
Besides keeping an eye on the battlefield, Chen Yang was also watching the other Xue Kui.
Not far from him stood a snow serpent about 1.6 meters tall. Because of its thick limbs, it looked rather cute, like a short, chubby creature.
Chen Yang smiled at the snow monster, only to be met with a growl and a glare. Chen Yang had no choice but to abandon his idea of using his charm to subdue the snow monster and instead watch the battle unfold.
As the fight progressed, Chen Yang discovered that the ape had actually used a unique monkey-style fist technique, and it was effective every time it was used.
The gap between him and the Snow Demon leader was already significant, and this subtle advantage quickly became apparent.
After being hit several times, the Snow Demon leader's injuries worsened, putting it at a greater disadvantage.
Gradually, the Snow King's movements slowed down, while the Azure Ape became increasingly spirited, forcing the Snow King to retreat step by step and only be able to defend.
The two animals actually looked quite lifelike, like two burly men fighting. Chen Yang thought that if the Snow Queen were to be born, it would definitely become the new darling of the world. Zoos and breeding farms would all want to keep one, and even movies would feature many scenes about the Snow Queen. The sensation the Snow Queen could cause would be even more intense than that of the mammoth.
Chen Yang sensed that the Snow Giant herd held a significant position in the Cang'er Snow Mountain and snowfields. No carnivore could threaten them; even the giant short-faced bear was no match for the Snow Giant herd. Perhaps only the mammoth herd could be fearless against the Snow Giant herd.
Once the battle situation became clear, the onlookers, including the Snow Demons, started shouting. Chen Yang didn't know who they were cheering for.
With a final punch, the ape knocked the Snow King leader to the ground, then stepped on the leader's back and roared.
The Snow Demons all crouched down and extended a hand in submission. After defeating its leader, the Azure Ape became the new leader of the Snow Demons.
However, the ape walked up to Chen Yang and made a gesture of submission to him.
Chen Yang paused for a moment, then reached out and accepted Cang Yuan's submission. Even after Cang Yuan became the leader, he still showed no intention of leaving him.
The snow serpents were dumbfounded; this was the first time they had encountered such a situation.
What should they do if their leader submits to another creature? They don't know either, and they are helpless.
"Woo!" The ape cried out to the snow grotesque group, and the snow grotesque group immediately understood, lining up one by one to walk in front of Chen Yang to show their submission.
Chen Yang patted Xue Kuiqun's hand one by one, which made him feel very strange. It felt like a leader shaking hands with the masses during an inspection. Should he say something like, "Comrades, you've worked hard?"
Xue Kuiqun's actions were completely unexpected by Chen Yang; he never imagined such a turn of events would occur.
This might be due to the exceptional intelligence of the Snow Giants; ordinary creatures couldn't possibly be this clever. While the Snow Giants are animals, Chen Yang felt they were more like a primitive tribe isolated from the world.
After clapping hands with all the Snow Demons and accepting their submission, Chen Yang noticed that all the Snow Demons were obediently looking at him, seemingly waiting for his command.
Now Chen Yang had a headache again.
What kind of instructions are you giving? We don't even speak the same language!
Helpless, he could only try to communicate with the ape, hoping it would understand his meaning. He needed to continue his journey, and the ape could still follow him, but he would let the group of snow monsters go back to their own homes and find their own mothers; he didn't care what they did.
After some twists and turns, Cang Yuan finally understood Chen Yang's meaning.
Xue Kuiqun was left behind, while Chen Yang and Cang Yuan continued their journey to climb the snow-capped mountain.
Xue Kuiqun was dumbfounded. What was going on? Hadn't they all submitted? Why were they abandoned again? So, all he wanted was to come back for revenge, fight, and then leave?
Ignoring the disheveled snowmen in the cold wind, Chen Yang began climbing Cang'er Snow Mountain according to the established plan.
He was lucky; he walked along a ridge where the path was mostly bare rock with little snow.
However, the air began to thin, and Chen Yang had to constantly be distracted by controlling his light body wind to gather the air and drive away the cold.
The temperature drop was quite noticeable; ice crystals even formed on Chen Yang's eyebrows. His body also began to feel somewhat unresponsive.
Chen Yang was helpless because his hands and feet were stiff. He was already wearing three pairs of fur pants, a sweater, two pairs of wool socks, and leather shoes, which was the best warm accommodation the camp could provide. Any more would greatly affect his movements.
The Snow-capped Ape seemed quite comfortable, but this temperature was not something it could easily withstand.
As Chen Yang climbed until dusk, he found an excellent shelter: a recessed area within the cliff face that provided shelter from the wind on three sides.
That night, Chen Yang couldn't let Xue Kui shield him from the wind anymore, so he squeezed in with Xue Kui.
Under these conditions, starting a fire was impossible, and Chen Yang had no intention of quitting. If he quit now, even if he eventually reached the summit, he would feel no sense of accomplishment. So he could only spend the night with Cang Yuan.
This was destined to be an extremely difficult night. Chen Yang was woken up several times by the cold, or perhaps he hadn't slept at all. His whole body was shivering, and the cold was so deep that it was hard to resist.
He got up at around 3 a.m., practiced a set of Xingyi Quan, and then continued on his way.
The wind was strong, and he needed to take advantage of this moment to move forward. The moonlight was bright, and he still had the Eagle Eye, so moving forward was not a problem at all.
However, the ape's night vision didn't seem to be very good, so Chen Yang could only lead it forward step by step.
Every step was extremely difficult, and the cold was constantly assaulting him. He felt as if his brain was about to freeze and stop thinking.
Fortunately, after 5 a.m., as dawn broke and the temperature rose slightly, Chen Yang was able to see the peak not far away, the highest point of Cang'er Snow Mountain, which was also likely the highest point of the Micro-World. Once he stepped onto that spot, he would stand on the top of the world.
As the first rays of dawn appeared and the sun was about to rise above the horizon, Chen Yang could see even further, and then he froze.
Ahead of him was a sheer cliff more than twenty meters wide, ruthlessly cutting off the only way to the summit.
I glanced at it, and it's almost 750,000 words. My next goal is a million.
