The digging of fishponds is not a big project; natural puddles are the best fishponds, and they just need to connect them.
The only laborious project was building a small dam between the fishpond and the lake to prevent the water level from rising during rains and causing all the fish to escape.
Speaking of rain, Chen Yang has never seen rain in the micro-world; the rainy season should be over by now.
If it happens to be the rainy season, everything they do becomes very inconvenient. The roads become muddy, hunting and gathering become difficult, and they need to stockpile large quantities of dry wood.
None of them were experienced in wilderness survival, and they found it difficult to adapt to drastic environmental changes. Therefore, they needed to quickly build a camp and secure a stable food supply.
The micro-world practically regressed them to a primitive society. Fortunately, while they lacked the abilities of primitive humans, their modern human wisdom more than compensated for this. And the ability to return to the real world at any time to retrieve information was the biggest cheat code.
It can be said that they are using the wisdom of people all over the world to build a new society.
Chen Yang was very fortunate that his status as the Realm Lord gave him absolute control over this world, even more so than the emperors of ancient times. However, as the Realm Lord, he had little power to restrain the Realm Citizens, who could return to the real world at any time.
That's good, Chen Yang isn't a very controlling person.
The group worked enthusiastically for most of the day, and the fishpond was already halfway done. It should be finished tomorrow.
"This feeling is truly exhilarating. There are no limitations, and the whole world is waiting for us to explore and develop," Wang Bing exclaimed.
Li Su'er added, "Moreover, you can be resurrected here if you die, and you'll be a hero again a month later."
Chen Yang had also told them about the rules of death in the Micro-World, and he himself was quite skeptical. The Micro-World was a legendary fifth-dimensional world where souls and matter coexisted, and some of their souls had crossed over and coexisted with matter. Therefore, death was not a big deal; it only resulted in the loss of some energy, which would naturally recover.
After working for most of the day, they had lost a lot of energy, so they simply decided to leave and come back to eat the next day to conserve their energy.
The next morning, they all woke up very early, and now their routines are incredibly synchronized and healthy.
"Let me check some fishpond farming strategies. Brother Yang, can you take a look at the sales reports for the past few days?"
Jiang Yining handed over a form.
Chen Yang glanced at the checklist and found that the average occupancy rate of the Microworld Inn over the past week was only 46%, less than half.
"This occupancy rate is barely enough to break even, and that's only because we don't have to pay rent; otherwise, it would be a negative income," Wang Bing said.
Chen Yang smiled and shook his head, saying, "Brother Wang, what do you think of Guo Zifeng?"
This nonsensical answer startled Wang Bing, who then guessed Chen Yang's thoughts: "You want to bring Guo Zifeng into the Micro World?"
Chen Yang nodded and said, "Guo Zifeng has been in Hangzhou for many years and has a wide network of connections. Moreover, I feel that he is a decent person."
Wang Bing also said, "I think it's alright. Although he secretly kept a female college student outside, the way he looked at Yining and Su'er was quite innocent, and he was tactful in his words and actions. I guess he has no feelings for his wife at home at all."
"Then in another half month, my capacity is limited, I can only bring in three per month. But I can still bring in one more through your auras. Do you have anyone you want to bring into the micro-world?"
Wang Bing was somewhat troubled. "Logically speaking, I should have brought my daughter in, but she's in the UK now, and the time there is different from ours. When the micro-world opens, it's daytime there. I'll reserve this spot for now; she'll be graduating soon anyway."
Chen Yang is also considering how to use the three spots next month.
After Guo Zifeng took one spot, there are two spots left.
If he hadn't lied about the alien, Chen Yang would have prioritized using the money on his parents.
However, Chen Yang's parents are currently living a happy life, and they are used to making fires in their small town, so they may not necessarily love the Micro World. Therefore, Chen Yang plans to wait a while before considering letting his parents enter the Micro World.
Chen Yang is the only son in his family, and his parents married late, having him when they were over thirty. Now they are over fifty years old.
Fortunately, they were already financially secure, and they are still keeping the 1 million yuan that Chen Yang gave them for him.
Chen Yang scrolled through his phone's contacts, looking for a friend to join the micro-world, leaving the other spot as a backup.
He swiped his finger across the screen, then suddenly paused, his gaze settling on a name.
"Haven't you changed your profile picture yet?"
It was a landscape photo, half of which was beach and half was sea, taken by Chen Yang. Behind the portrait were the two Chinese characters "Mo Xi".
After glancing at it twice, Chen Yang continued scrolling down, his gaze finally settling on the name Ye Wu. Ye Wu was his college roommate and his best friend throughout their university years.
However, after graduation, he didn't keep in touch with Ye Wu much, mainly because of Chen Yang. He lost contact with almost all his friends from university, and it was rare for him to be able to contact Ye Wu even a few times occasionally.
"I run a guesthouse in HZ, would you like to come over and have a chat?"
He sent a message and was about to go get something to eat while waiting for a reply, but before he could even put his phone down, Ye Wu made a video call.
"Holy crap, you actually contacted me first? You even run an inn? Where is it? I'll buy a plane ticket and fly over right now."
As soon as the video call connected, Ye Wu's voice rang out, and Chen Yang saw his enviable face again after a long time.
From any angle, Ye Wu is undeniably a super handsome man. His muscular physique and dashing face are enough to captivate most women. Moreover, he lacks the effeminate features often associated with Korean men, radiating a sunny and masculine aura.
"Don't you have to work? Come over on your day off."
"I'll quit right away; I've wanted to quit for a long time anyway. I'm coming to work for you."
"I don't need any more people."
"You're not short of money, are you? Having me too much to worry about, you can afford it."
"What you're saying could easily be misunderstood."
"Don't worry, don't worry, we're like brothers. I'll hang up now, buy the earliest ticket and get ready to pick me up at the airport."
Ye Wu hung up the video call, and two minutes later, Chen Yang received his message.
"I'll arrive at 7:30 PM. Get ready to pick me up."
Chen Yang was already used to Ye Wu's decisive and efficient style. This guy had always been an impulsive type.
He called Wang Bing and the two women into the hall and told them that Ye Wu was coming.
"Isn't he handsome?"
Li Su'er asked immediately.
"Handsome, not just ordinary handsome. He was the most handsome guy in his department in college, the kind who could even compete for the title of most handsome guy on campus."
Li Su'er's eyes lit up, and she exclaimed loudly, "I welcome this handsome man with open arms and feet!"
Chen Yang thought Ye Wu and Li Su'er would get along well, but he had to warn Li Su'er that Ye Wu had a string of women around him, and Chen Yang didn't even know how many women he had been with.
However, Ye Wu never establishes a romantic relationship with any woman he's with, nor does he pursue obedient girls. According to him, apart from the first girl he dated in junior high, he has never truly had a girlfriend, nor has he ever taken a girl's virginity.
"Passing through a sea of flowers without a single petal clinging to me—that perfectly describes me." This is a phrase Ye Wu often said during his university days.
After dinner, Chen Yang took Li Su'er, who was clamoring to see handsome men, to the airport to pick up Ye Wu.
At the arrival gate, Chen Yang saw his college friend. The two did not shake hands or hug, but simply bumped fists lightly.
"The food is ready, I'm starving!"
Ye Wu's first words upon meeting her were these, which made Li Su'er's eyes widen in surprise. This was quite different from the image of a handsome man in her mind.
"I've prepared West Lake Vinegar Fish, Yangzhou Fried Rice, Soup Dumplings for you..."
"Stop, give me the car keys, I'll drive." Ye Wu stopped Chen Yang from continuing to recite the menu and said impatiently.
As the car sped out of the airport, Li Su'er was still thinking that they didn't seem to have prepared any dishes. Chen Yang had specifically instructed her before picking her up that they only needed to prepare fried rice for dinner, saying that Ye Wu loved fried rice the most.
Fifty minutes later, a scream came from inside the Microworld Inn.
"Chen Yang! I hate you!"
