Chapter 452 Stone Island

Chen Yang woke up very early the next day. The distance of several hundred nautical miles still required a considerable amount of time to drive. If they set off early, they could arrive by noon.

The local residents who operate boats on this island don't know where they are, but fortunately, the micro-world has provided accurate latitude and longitude. As long as we reach these coordinates, we'll be fine. At sea, the view is completely unobstructed. Following the latitude and longitude coordinates, we'll definitely find it, unless the island doesn't exist at all.

Just as dawn was breaking, Chen Yang arrived at the dock, where the locals who were sailing the boat were already waiting for him.

"Hello Mr. Chen Yang, I am your sea driver, you can call me Wulili."

Surprisingly, this local resident, who looked like an Indigenous person, spoke fluent Chinese, though not fluently, but understandable.

“I lived in China for two years, and it’s a great place,” Ulili explained.

"That's truly rare," Chen Yang said.

It is indeed quite rare that someone lived on such a small island in China.

Ulili was quite talkative, explaining the local customs and traditions to Chen Yang along the way, making the journey less boring.

They hadn't been gone long when they happened to catch the sunrise, and enjoying the sunrise over the sea here was a unique experience.

However, once the sun rises slightly, it becomes less comfortable.

Their speedboats had no sun protection measures whatsoever. The sun at sea is extremely strong, and it's common to get sunburned and peel if you're not careful.

However, Ulili was a local and was already used to it, while Chen Yang had a special constitution and was not very afraid of the sun, so neither of them felt anything.

After driving for three hours, Chen Yang saw an island in the distance, but it was still too far away for him to see anything clearly, let alone Ulili.

More than half an hour later, Chen Yang activated the locking ability of Eagle Eye and was able to see the shape of the island clearly. It was an island shaped like a silkworm cocoon, not large in area, with little vegetation, and very desolate.

After observing for a while, Chen Yang looked at Wulili again, only to find that Wulili had no reaction at all, as if it had not noticed the island at all.

"How much longer until we arrive?" Chen Yang asked.

"We'll arrive at the coordinates in about half an hour. But Mr. Chen, there's no island here. I hope the island you mentioned hasn't sunk to the bottom of the sea."

Chen Yang's heart skipped a beat; indeed, Ulili couldn't see the island.

When he learned that the surrounding residents were also unaware of the island's existence, he speculated that the island might be like the Outer Boundary, invisible to outsiders who would subconsciously overlook it.

As they got closer to the island, it became quite clear to Chen Yang. He could see jagged rocks and sparse weeds growing tenaciously in the cracks between the rocks.

But Ulili still didn't react and continued to drive the boat at ease.

Chen Yang noticed that the ship's course had changed slightly. If Ulili continued sailing like this, it would just pass by the island, but he himself seemed unaware of this.

This is the same as the outer realms; if you're not a resident of the realm, you might subconsciously take a detour without even realizing it.

Before introducing the new inhabitants, they experimented with the edge of the outer realm. Unless they were forcibly pulled over, others would naturally avoid them. Forcibly pulling them over would trigger a warning from the micro-realm, as it would expose the micro-realm.

"Alright, just hold on here," Chen Yang suddenly said.

Ulili stopped the speedboat, looked at Chen Yang with some surprise, and said, "Are you giving up?"

In his eyes, all around him was an endless sea, with no islands in sight.

Sometimes, rich people are just bored and create trouble for themselves. Maybe they've found a treasure map somewhere, who knows how many years ago, and just want to come and take a look.

Ulili thought to himself, but didn't say it aloud.

The pay for this job is quite substantial. It's just a couple of laps around the sea and I'll get several thousand dollars. It's practically free money, so why not take it?

"I'll get off here," Chen Yang said.

Ulili was taken aback. Where to go next?

"Bring out the inflatable lifeboat, I'm here. You can go back now, come pick me up tomorrow," Chen Yang said.

Uli shook his head vigorously, saying, "How can that be? If you want to go diving, I'll wait for you here. How can I leave you at sea?"

Chen Yang was helpless. He couldn't very well tell Wulili that there was an island just a hundred meters away, but she just couldn't see it.

"Don't worry, I won't go looking for trouble. I also have a signal device on me. Go back safely and come back tomorrow."

Uli refused to agree to Chen Yang's suggestion, as he didn't want Chen Yang's death to implicate him.

Finally, Chen Yang wrote a statement and printed it out for Wulili, doubling his payment before Wulili reluctantly agreed to go back.

"I've brought the satellite phone. I'm not going back. There's an island a hundred kilometers away. I'll wait for you there."

Ulili said to Chen Yang on the lifeboat.

Chen Yang waved to him, signaling him to leave first.

After Ulili had gone far away, Chen Yang looked at the island in front of him.

The island rises in the middle and is flat on both sides, like a fat silkworm. The island is full of rocks and there are no tall plants at all, only some scattered weeds growing in the cracks between the rocks.

He was certain this was the island he was looking for. But not because of any intuition, but because Ulili couldn't see the island.

Chen Yang held onto the edge of the inflatable life cot with both hands, and the light breeze propelled the cot toward the island.

The 100-meter distance was quickly covered. Chen Yang boarded the island, folded up the inflatable life-saving bed, and slung it over his shoulder.

As he landed on the island, an arrow appeared before him, indicating the direction he should go.

The island wasn't large, and Chen Yang wasn't in a hurry, so he slowly followed the direction indicated by the arrow.

He held the Blade of Tenacity in his hand, and a ring of throwing knives was also tucked around his waist. He still preferred to use these, and he could also take out guns from his spatial ring whenever needed.

It's always good to be careful. This mission was strange in many ways, which left Chen Yang somewhat puzzled.

It had nothing to do with the micro-realm, nor with the lands beyond the realm; suddenly, he was sent to an unfamiliar island.

He followed the signs and walked on the stones. Although his pace was slow, he reached the center of the island in less than half an hour, because the island was really small. It was much smaller than the island in the lake.

The center of the island is also devoid of plants, but there is an egg, a black egg.

The egg had no luster and looked just like a black stone. Chen Yang even suspected that it was a stone.

The arrow disappeared at this moment, and a new prompt appeared in the micro-world.

"Please touch."

Here's the extra chapter I promised! It's really not easy for me to even manage an extra chapter. *hugs*
