Seeing that An Jie wouldn't listen to him, Jiang Defu made a phone call to Lin Wangshu to complain.
Lin Wangshu was furious. She was genuinely afraid that An Jie would faint and end up in the hospital, so she scolded An Jie for a long time with a stern face.
Finally, the decision was made: "I'll confiscate your woolen pants for now. I'll take them away every night and bring them back to you in the morning. Let's see how you manage to knit them secretly now."
Anjie was both amused and exasperated. "Why are you making things so complicated? I won't stay up all night anymore, okay?"
However, Lin Wangshu was impartial and would come over every day at the appointed time to confiscate her woolen pants. After returning home, she would also help An Jie catch up on her work.
Fortunately, God blessed her, and on the eve of Jiang Defu's birthday, An Jie was in excellent health, and she finished knitting her woolen pants on time.
On Jiang Defu's birthday, three generations of the Jiang family came over, and the house was filled with a lively gathering.
Jiang Defu sat in the middle of the sofa with a smile like Maitreya Buddha. Yafei originally wanted to put a crown from a birthday cake on his head, but he firmly refused.
Yafei looked at Jiang Weiguo and smiled, "Big brother, you are the eldest son of our family, so you should go first to present the gifts and celebrate his birthday."

Jiang Defu solemnly accepted the papers and exclaimed, "My entire life is contained in these few sheets of paper; they are proof of my life."
Next was Jiang Weidong, the second son, who gave him a complete set of military uniforms. Jiang Defu liked them very much and put them on immediately.
Yafei joked, "Second brother, you can't be with my eldest sister, can you? You can't slack off."
Jiang Weidong glanced at Lin Wangshu and said helplessly, "Don't worry, your older sister has her own gift. She's kept it a secret very well; even I don't know what it is."
Now Yafei was curious. "Big sister, what did you give us? Show it to us!"
Lin Wangshu shook her head mysteriously, "This gift of mine is quite significant. It was a collaboration between Ya Ning and me, and it has to be the grand finale."
"Well, you two!" Seeing Lin Wangshu and Ya Ning exchanging knowing smiles, Ya Fei became jealous. "You two were up to something behind my back and didn't even tell me! That's too much!"
Ya Ning quickly hugged her and comforted her, saying, "This time it was a special situation. Next time, next time I will definitely bring you along."
When it was Jiang Weimin's turn, he was a little embarrassed. "I gave you a massage machine. Compared to yours, it's really meaningless."
Jiang Defu, however, didn't take it to heart. "Who said that? Your gift is the most practical. It's perfect for my back problem. You've hit the nail on the head."
"Alright, now it's my turn." Yafei patted Zheng Jianhua on the shoulder. "Go and get the things I prepared from the car."
"Okay." Zheng Jianhua obeyed and stood up to take a thin little gift box from outside.
Yafei took out a disc, and the sound it played instantly silenced the entire room.
With tears welling up in their eyes, Jiang Defu and An Jie exclaimed excitedly, "It's a bugle call! It's the bugle call from the island!"
For a moment, Lin Wangshu was lost in thought. She felt as if she had returned to her childhood. Suddenly, she felt a warmth in her hand and turned her head to find that Jiang Weidong had taken her hand.
As they looked at each other, they both recalled the days when they were young and naive.
After the disc finished playing, everyone still had a sense of nostalgia and wistfulness on their faces. Yafei urged Lin Wangshu, "Big sister, we've all taken out our gifts, what about yours?"
Lin Wangshu laughed, "Our gifts are really similar, mine is also a CD."
She took out a thick stack of DVDs from her bag. "Dad, this is a TV series written by Ya Ning and produced by our company."
"It tells the story of your and my mother's lives, and the title is 'Our Parents' Love'!"
"The TV series hasn't officially aired yet. This is a pre-recorded video so you can see it before everyone else."
"Really!" Jiang Defu excitedly took out his glasses and put them on. "Then I'll have to take a good look. Put it away quickly!"
Yafei was also surprised and praised Lin Wangshu and Ya Ning, saying, "You two really do great things quietly and keep it a secret."
Ya Ning smiled smugly, "Otherwise, how could it be called a surprise?"
Jiang Weimin looked at Lin Wangshu excitedly, "Big sister, am I in there? Is the actor who plays me handsome?"
Lin Wangshu teased him, "Anyway, it suits your temperament very well. As for whether you're handsome or not, that's a matter of opinion, but the actress playing Mingxu is very dashing."
Mingxu smiled shyly, "Thank you, elder sister."
Jiang Weimin chuckled and said nonchalantly, "That's good. As long as my wife is pretty, that's all that matters."
"Hey, Wangshu, you didn't film those things from my childhood, did you? Don't ruin my image!" Jiang Weiguo joked, putting his arm around Jiang Hui.
Lin Wangshu smiled and said, "I can't spoil it for you in advance. You'll find out when you see it."
Jiang Hui, however, was very excited. "Wang Shu, does your older brother have a lot of scenes? I want to see what he looked like when he was a child."
"Don't worry, sister-in-law. He was the main one who led everyone in causing trouble when we were kids. He had the most scenes." Lin Wangshu didn't give Jiang Weiguo any face and revealed his past to Jiang Hui.
After the opening credits started, everyone quieted down and watched the TV series attentively.
Jiang Weidong then pulled Lin Wangshu aside and whispered, "I was wondering why you kept asking me about your childhood for a while. Turns out you'd been planning this all along."
Lin Wangshu smiled smugly, "Of course, what do you think of my gift?"
