"Why are there still so many relatives coming and going from Dad's side? One group leaves and another comes!"
Hearing eight people of all ages eating heartily outside, while they could only huddle in their bedroom eating noodles, Yafei was filled with resentment.
Lin Wangshu smiled after hearing this, "This is nothing. When it comes to sleeping at night, we'll have to squeeze in with them."
Yafei then realized this and instantly broke down, "It's all Aunt's fault. She's the one who brought all these people here. Now look what's happened, we're the ones suffering, while she just packs her bags and leaves."
Dehua was so regretful that she couldn't even eat. Watching Anjie frowning and busily cooking noodles, she felt guilty and didn't dare to say a word, only doing as much work as possible.
That evening, Dehua wanted to bring a few people to stay at his house, but for some reason, they absolutely refused.
Helpless, Anjie could only rummage through drawers and cabinets to bring out all the quilts in the house and barely manage to squeeze them into a few rooms.
Unable to bear it any longer, Yafei took her blankets and pillows and ran to Dehua's house before going to bed.
Because Lin Wangshu slept on the upper bunk, and once the curtain was drawn, it created a secluded little world, Ya Ning kept pestering her to sleep with her at night.
Jiang Weimin was the worst off; a folding bed was set up in the living room, which was where he slept.
When it was time to sleep, Lin Wangshu and Ya Ning climbed into bed early and looked at the comic book head to head.
The sounds of a child crying and adults scolding under the bed were incessant, making Ya Ning cover her ears in pain. "Second sister was right. I should have moved out too."
Lin Wangshu patted her helplessly, "Just bear with it for a while, they'll be going to sleep soon."
But she was too happy too soon. Although the people below stopped making noise, once they fell asleep, a chorus of snores began to rise and fall.
A sudden, muffled snore startled Ya Ning, instantly waking her from her sleep.
Hearing the sounds of renovation coming from inside the room, Ya Ning broke down and whispered to Lin Wangshu with tears in her eyes, "Big sister, it's too noisy, I can't sleep."
Lin Wangshu could only stare blankly. Hearing this, she couldn't stand it anymore and sat up, whispering to her, "Let's go, let's go sleep at Aunt's house too."
Ya Ning nodded repeatedly, and the two of them tiptoed off the bed, afraid of waking them.
When they reached the living room, Jiang Weimin, who was still wide awake, spotted them. Upon hearing that they were leaving, he immediately got up and said, "Wait for me, I'm coming too. I want to sleep with Siyang."
After saying that, he took the tissue out of his ear, grabbed his pillow, and quickly followed them.
When they arrived at Lao Ding's house, Dehua came out wearing a coat. When he saw the three of them coming, he felt both heartache and regret, and quickly busied himself tidying up the house for them.
Back in the bedroom, Old Ding snorted at her, "Look at the trouble you've caused, look what you've done to the child."
Dehua looked dejected. "Don't talk about me. I regret it so much now. These people should just leave!"
"Don't let one wave come after another, or you'll really get yourself into big trouble," Old Ding said, turning over and pursing his lips.
"No way." Dehua shuddered and shook his head repeatedly. "We only have so many relatives in our family, how could there be any more?"
The next morning, when the group went home to brush their teeth and wash up, they ran into Xiao Juan, who had stayed in their room the night before, pulling up her pants as she came out. She wondered where they had gone to sleep the night before.
She was really in a hurry to urinate, so she rushed to the toilet without waiting for a reply.
When it was time to eat, Xiao Juan, who seemed to realize that it was her group who had squeezed them out, smiled warmly and diligently took out steamed buns from the kitchen and put them in their bowls, saying, "Aunties, please eat, please eat."
Seeing the fingerprints on the white steamed buns, all three of them were stunned. Lin Wangshu's smile froze, and she looked at the steamed buns in the bowl, at a loss, wanting to take them out but afraid of embarrassing her.
Yafei couldn't stand it. She picked up her chopsticks and took the steamed bun away, her face very unpleasant. "I don't eat steamed buns. I'm sitting too low, and my stomach hurts."
After saying that, she snorted, picked up a piece of food, and ate it as if no one else was around.
Xiao Juan stood awkwardly to the side. An Jie sighed inwardly, then forced a smile and came over to defuse the situation, "Xiao Juan, don't worry about them. We all brought our own. Come and sit down."
After everyone was seated at the large table, An Jie turned her back, took the steamed buns from Lin Wangshu and the others' bowls, and then secretly glared at Yafei, silently saying, "Rude!"
After breakfast, with many guests and a lot of dishes to handle, Anjie couldn't manage alone. Lin Wangshu helped her wash the dishes and then prepared to go back to her room to mail the letter she had written the day before.
But as soon as they entered the room, they found that the drawer they had locked was wide open, with its contents scattered all around.
Lin Wangshu's heart skipped a beat when she saw this, and she immediately strode over to search for the box containing the letter. Sure enough, the box was gone.
"Where is my letter?!" Lin Wangshu roared angrily, glaring at the people in the room.
The second sister-in-law panicked for a moment upon seeing this, and subconsciously sat down to the side to cover the child playing on the bed behind her. She replied guiltily, "How would I know? We didn't see anything."
Lin Wangshu immediately saw through her lie and pulled her away. There were several envelopes scattered on the bed, and a little boy was playing with a piece of paper, folding things.
"Who gave you permission to touch my letter!" Lin Wangshu's eyes reddened upon seeing it, and she quickly snatched the letter from the boy's hand, her voice urgent and angry.
The little boy was stunned, and then burst into tears, frightened by Lin Wangshu's angry expression.
