Chapter 219 Daily Life After Marriage 9

As soon as Jiang Weidong approached, the baby in Lin Wangshu's belly seemed to sense it, and moved slightly, whether by stretching out a hand or kicking a foot.

Jiang Weidong was thrilled. His hand trembled slightly as he touched it, realizing for the first time that he might actually be a father.

As her pregnancy progressed, Lin Wangshu's belly grew alarmingly large. Sometimes, standing in front of the mirror, she couldn't help but laugh at herself, saying, "I look just like a big frog!"

She remembered the frogs Jiang Weidong caught when she was a child; they all had round bellies and slender limbs.

Jiang Weidong was very unhappy with her talking about him like that. "What nonsense are you talking about? There's no frog as pretty as you!"

Looking at her out-of-shape figure in the mirror, Lin Wangshu felt a little insecure. She glanced at Jiang Weidong and said, "Don't try to comfort me. I look terrible now."

Jiang Weidong sighed with heartache, kissed her on the cheek, and said earnestly and sincerely, "My little moon is still as beautiful as ever!"

"I shouldn't have asked you!" Lin Wangshu pouted and gently bumped his head against hers.

In Jiang Weidong's eyes, no matter what Lin Wangshu becomes, she will always be the most beautiful girl, and it's impossible to be objective.

"I'm serious!" Seeing that she didn't believe him, Jiang Weidong frowned slightly, his face full of sincerity.

Lin Wangshu smiled, "I know, brother."

From the ever-bright eyes he gave her when he looked at her, Lin Wangshu knew it, because she felt loved.

On the day of delivery, before Lin Wangshu could even rejoice at finally being able to relax, her face turned pale from the constant, intense contractions.

"Jiang Weidong, you bastard, you've ruined me!"

A furious curse was followed by a shrill scream. Jiang Weidong's fingertips, gripping the steering wheel, turned white as he nodded repeatedly, "Yes, yes, I'm a bastard."

"Little Moon, hang in there a little longer, we're almost there."

Lin Wangshu had never been in so much pain before. Usually calm and composed, she looked at the culprit and wished she could grab him and beat him up to vent her anger!

"I'm never giving birth again! It hurts so much, waaaaah!"

Jiang Weidong had already regretted it. Looking at Lin Wangshu, whose face was almost contorted with pain, tears of heartache streamed down his face along with hers. "I'll listen to you. We'll never do it again."

Seeing the two people crying their eyes out, Dehua was speechless. He helped Lin Wangshu in the back seat and smacked Jiang Weidong on the head.

"What are you crying for! It's not like you're giving birth. Stop crying and drive properly!"

Under the experienced Dehua's guidance, Jiang Weidong finally managed to calm himself down and drove straight to the hospital.

After the child was finally born, Lin Wangshu had long forgotten the cursing she had done to Jiang Weidong, and Jiang Weidong had also forgotten his own pathetic behavior back then.

The newly-born parents huddled together, curiously teasing their two wrinkled babies.

Watching Jiang Weidong touch Xiaoxing's little hand, Lin Wangshu smiled and whispered to him, "Father of the child?"

The title was quite novel to Jiang Weidong, who grinned from ear to ear and nodded foolishly, "Yes, I'm the child's father, I'm a dad now!"

However, this father was always too afraid to hold the children. Whenever Dehua tried to put the twins in his arms, he would shake his head in fright, saying, "No, no, I really can't hold them."

Dehua rolled his eyes at his pathetic appearance.

When Jiang Defu, An Jie, and Lao Ding arrived, they saw that Jiang Weidong still dared not make a move.

Jiang Defu mocked his son without any mercy, "Look at you, you don't even dare to hold your own son. You're far inferior to me back then!"

"Back when your older brother was just born, I was able to take care of him right away."

Old Ding chimed in, "You're right. When Da Yang was born, I held him quite well, and his mother even praised me!"

Listening to their self-praise, Jiang Weidong was somewhat skeptical, but since he hadn't seen it, he had no right to comment and could only silently tease his son.

Seeing that the two were getting more and more excited as they talked, they even started to compete with each other, vying to teach Jiang Weidong how to hold the child, determined to prove that their holding posture was better than the other's!

Anjie, who was standing to the side, couldn't stand it anymore. "You two, shut up. What business is it of yours?"

As she spoke, she looked at Jiang Defu and mercilessly exposed his lie, "You're just bragging in front of Wei Dong. When Wei Guo was born, you held him like he was a landmine. How dare you teach Wei Dong?"

"You..." Jiang Defu blushed with embarrassment when he saw her embarrassing him.

But Old Ding pointed at him and laughed, "Buddy, you're not much better than your son!"

An Jie didn't give him any face either, and said with a sneer, "Brother Ding, don't talk about the second brother when the eldest brother is not the first. Although I didn't see the baby being born."

"But back then, you weren't much better than my husband, Lao Jiang. I still remember that!"

After An Jie exposed their secrets, the two men lost face and reluctantly shut up.

Seeing that An Jie had tamed the two of them so well, Lin Wangshu almost burst out laughing. She quickly lowered her head to hide her amusement, and then secretly gave her a thumbs up.

Anjie tilted her head back smugly. She couldn't let those two old men, who were taking advantage of their age, laugh at her son!

After a moment of silence, Jiang Defu and Lao Ding bent over and stared at the two twins until their eyes were dazzled.

Jiang Defu chuckled and pointed at the little sun, saying to Old Ding, "Look, no wonder he's my grandson, he looks just like me!"
