A huge change occurred downstairs; a group of men in black carrying guns walked in.
The restaurant was packed with people, and the manager stood quietly behind them.
"From now on, everyone do as I say!" the leader said, holding up a gun.
Of course, there were also those who weren't afraid of death. One man, however, wouldn't listen, shouting, "Who do you think you are? Do you know who I am?"
The man didn't waste any words with him and shot him in the head, startling everyone who immediately crouched down.
He turned to look at the manager. "Is everyone here?"
The manager nodded and led the staff out of the restaurant. Xiaoli suddenly finished counting the number of people inside.
Why doesn't this match up? It seems like two people are missing. She jogged over to the manager. "Manager, it seems like two people are missing."
The manager was shocked. Oh no, how could two be missing? If the boss finds out, he'll skin him alive.
Can you tell which two they are?
"How could anyone possibly recognize them? There are 195 people inside!"
Xiaoli was speechless. What kind of person did they take her for? How could they remember everything after just one meeting?
The manager was somewhat helpless. He went to the monitoring room to check the camera footage and found it was a man and a woman living in room 1908. Now that they had been sent back, there was no reason to ask them to leave.
Xiaoli led two security guards up to the door and knocked. "Hello, I'm from the front desk. I need to confirm something with you."
Shen Yizhou walked to the door, took out the room card, and hid in the bathroom with He Tiantian.
Xiaoli knocked on the door twice more, but there was still no response. She took out the spare room card for room 1908 and opened the door with a single tap.
It was pitch black inside. Xiaoli was stunned. She clearly saw the two people go back to their room. Why was no one there?
She inserted the room key into the slot, and the room lights came on.
The two were a little nervous hiding in the bathroom because the bathroom light was on!
Xiaoli led the security guards into the room. "You two go and see if they've hidden themselves."
"Yes!" the two security guards responded in unison, one going to the balcony and the other preparing to go to the toilet.
Xiaoli's phone suddenly rang.
"Hello, manager?"
"Yes, I know, no one was found in the room."
The security guard, who was about to enter the restroom, was drawn by Xiaoli's voice as she answered the phone. He didn't really want to look for her; it was obvious no one was there.
The security guard walked over to Xiaoli and listened to her make a phone call.
While Shen Yizhou was pulling He Tiantian away, the two of them slipped away right under their noses.
The manager was watching the security camera footage while on the phone. When he saw the two people running out of the room, he instantly flew into a rage. "What are you two doing? The people are right here in the room, and you're telling me they're not here?"
Xiaoli was a little confused. She ran to the door to check, "There's no one here, manager! None of us eight pairs of eyes saw anything!"
One of the security guards pushed up his glasses and said, "Even if it's not him, does this count?"
The manager was really exasperated. "Then please go look in the hallway! I'm watching the security camera, ma'am. She just ran out of the room."
Xiaoli hung up the phone, somewhat speechless. If he was so awesome, why didn't she come looking for him herself?
She led the security guard out of the room, but there was no one in the hallway.
To appease the meddlesome manager, she suddenly felt rebellious and started wandering around the corridor.
The security guard didn't dare to ask any questions, so he just followed behind her, and the three of them strolled leisurely down the corridor.
The manager was so angry at what he saw that he almost exploded. What was Xiaoli thinking?!
I made a phone call.
"Zhang Xiaoli! Are you just ignoring what I said? If you keep going like this, they'll all escape the country."
"Manager Huang, we really haven't seen anyone. If you have, please let us know, right? This hotel is so big, where are we supposed to look?"
The manager, suppressing his anger, hung up the phone. He watched as the two men left through the side door on the first floor.
He also had a fluke mentality, thinking that even if two people were missing, the boss wouldn't find out, right?
Xiaoli led the security guards back to the first floor, and the manager didn't say anything, leading them back to the restaurant.
The people in the restaurant were all quiet, and the man in the lead was whispering to the manager.
The manager nodded, and the man spoke through a megaphone, "Now, hand over all your money and bank cards! And tell me your PINs too, one by one!"
To save their lives, the rich kids decisively chose to hand over their assets, since they were all afraid of dying and didn't want to engage in pointless struggles.
Ah Qing and Ah Yu were at their wits' end. Where were they going to get the money? They were already struggling financially.
When it was their turn, the man checked their balances and said, "Damn it, could you two be any poorer? You don't even have 10,000 yuan combined?"
Aqing smiled awkwardly, "Can you please not shout so loudly? Give people some face."
"Damn, what a mess, and he's still a poor wretch." The man shook his head and walked away.
The two girls next to me secretly covered their mouths and laughed; everyone here was either rich or powerful.
Shen Yizhou and He Tiantian had already run to the beach, and Shen Yizhou was looking around at the surroundings.
He realized that this was just a blackmail plot.
"What do we do now?" He Tiantian asked anxiously.
"Let's find a place to hide first; it's too dark to find anywhere."
Shen Yizhou took He Tiantian's hand, and the two walked into the island's jungle. He turned on his flashlight.
After walking for about an hour, Shen Yizhou finally found a cave. He Tiantian was exhausted.
It was a bit chilly in the jungle at night, but luckily He Tiantian was wearing a jacket.
