The train driver yawned in the control room, glancing at his sleeping colleague next to him, who was drooling in his sleep.
He felt a little resentful, but there was nothing he could do; the two of them were taking turns driving the train.
A man suddenly appeared ahead, standing on the tracks facing the train. The driver immediately slammed on the brakes.
The locomotive struck his chest, knocking him to the ground. The driver immediately got off to check on him, and his sleeping colleague was also awakened by the sudden braking.
The driver angrily approached the man, shouting, "Are you out of your mind, young man? Standing on the tracks in the middle of the night, are you trying to kill yourself?!"
The man didn't speak, but his lips curled slightly. A group of people dressed like him emerged from the nearby woods.
The driver then realized that he had encountered bandits.
The man punched the driver, who immediately passed out. He could finally sleep...
"Brothers, let's go grab it in carriages 1 and 2! Those are the places for high-ranking people!"
At the man's command, a group of people climbed into the train through the windows, causing the train to sway slightly.
Shen Yizhou quickly noticed it, and he also felt the train brake suddenly.
He pulled back a corner of the curtain and saw more than a dozen figures outside, who swarmed into the train.
The sound of prying came from the doorway. These doors weren't easy to pry open; the people outside spent 10 minutes trying to open them but couldn't.
They went back and reported the incident. The man stroked his chin and began to think, "Since we can't open it, let's force our way in. Everyone, come with me to carriage number 1."
The man led his group to room 101. The people in this room must be the richest, otherwise they wouldn't be staying in the first room.
Lin Bing and Shao Yu waited for them quietly.
The man's men rammed the door for a long time before finally breaking it open, only to find the two of them sitting on the sofa, completely unafraid.
Dozens of people surrounded the two men. The man walked up to them and sat down on the table.
"Hand over the money and food, and I can guarantee you won't die."
The zombies, who were still wandering around in the corridor, rushed frantically towards room 101 after hearing the sound.
The door of carriage number 7 was eventually blown off.
The zombies swarmed out, and the train began to shake violently; the man also felt the shaking.
He looked around in surprise. Three zombies appeared at the door. The man froze. When he looked back again, Lin Bing and Shao Yu had disappeared.
The two of them gently knocked on the window of 206.
He Tiantian was awakened by the noise. Shen Yizhou pulled back the curtains to check and saw Lin Bing and Shao Yu. He opened the window to let them in.
"Old Shen, bring your teammates and come with us." Lin Bing picked up a bottle of water and gulped it down.
"We don't seem to know each other, do we?" Shen Yizhou looked at him with suspicion.
"Look at his brain, he's forgotten about us so quickly."
"You're so heartless, Lao Shen!"
Shen Yizhou looked at the two of them with some confusion, as he really didn't recognize them in his memory.
"It's alright, we're acquainted now." Shao Yu patted Shen Yizhou on the shoulder.
He Tiantian was completely bewildered. What was going on?
"Quickly tell your girlfriend to change her clothes, and we'd better run away."
The two remained motionless until they heard roars and footsteps outside.
Shen Yizhou then pulled He Tiantian to change her clothes, and he picked up her small schoolbag and put her necessities inside.
In the end, he followed Lin Bing and Shao Yu and ran out of the window.
They stood in the forest watching the train, which was swaying and rattling, and the howls of zombies could be heard.
People started running out of the other windows as well. He Tiantian looked closely and realized it was A Qing and A Yu!
He nudged Shen Yizhou, "It's Aqing and Ayu!"
Shen Yizhou called out softly, and the two stood still, searching for the source of the sound.
He Tiantian shook the trees around her, and the two finally noticed them.
"Brother Zhou, Tian Tian, how did you two get out so quickly!"
Aqing looked up and saw Lin Bing and Shao Yu. He tugged at Ayu's clothes and said, "Isn't this the team that won first place?"
"It really is true, when did they meet?" The two squatted down to the side and began whispering to each other.
"Alright, let's go. There's a cabin at the edge of the forest." Shao Yu said and then set off.
"If we leave like this, will we still be able to pass the level?" He Tiantian asked, voicing her doubts.
"The system allows us to survive, but it doesn't specify where we should live," Lin Bing explained.
He Tiantian thought about it and it seemed to make sense, so as long as she lived for 15 days, it would be fine?
The group arrived deep in the dense forest, where there was a large wooden house in the middle of the lake.
Lin Bing looked around and sure enough, he saw the small boat hidden under the leaves.
He told Shen Yizhou and He Tiantian to go into the wooden house first, then A Qing and A Yu, and finally him and Shao Yu.
Shen Yizhou put his arm around He Tiantian and pushed open the door of the wooden house. It was pitch black inside and they couldn't see anything.
Ayu took out a flashlight from her pocket. She had bought it for 300 points! And it had unlimited battery power!
The wooden house was full of dust, and He Tiantian immediately covered her mouth and nose.
There are three floors in total, with two rooms on each floor. They didn't come out again after the rooms were assigned, and they would discuss everything after dawn.
The room is still sleepable for now, and all the furniture in the room is covered with a layer of white cloth.
There wasn't much dust inside when you lifted the lid, and He Tiantian lay wearily on the bed.
She has exhausted herself and needs to rest.
Shen Yizhou couldn't sleep. He looked at the scene in front of him in confusion. How did things develop like this?
