Shen Yizhou searched through the task cards, but couldn't find any. "Tian Tian, do you have any task cards in your box?"
"Let me check." He Tiantian went to open her suitcase. The spot where she usually kept the task cards was empty. She emptied all her clothes without noticing.
"What's going on, Zhouzhou?"
"I guess there won't be any quest cards this time, I'll have to find the quests myself..."
Shen Yizhou was truly helpless. This game was getting more and more outrageous; it was really trying to find ways to kill its players.
A waiter's voice could be heard from outside the door.
"Hello, I'm here to deliver food."
The two women exchanged a glance. They had just come in; how could they have ordered food? Shen Yizhou stepped forward and opened the door.
A waitress in a kimono carries a tray with two steaming bowls of ramen on it.
Shen Yizhou took the tray, thanked the waiter, and carried it into the room. The two looked at the two bowls of ramen, both of which were beef ramen, and they smelled quite good.
Shen Yizhou called the front desk to inquire, and the receptionist said it was included in the room package.
Upon hearing this result, He Tiantian could no longer resist picking up her chopsticks and starting to eat.
The room was filled with the aroma of ramen. After the two had eaten and drunk their fill, it was almost evening.
He Tiantian glanced at the time; it was almost 7:30. "Zhouzhou, shall we go soak in the hot springs?"
"Okay, I'll go to the restroom to get a towel. Can you check if there are any swimsuits in the suitcase?"
After Shen Yizhou finished speaking, he went into the bathroom and took out two large bath towels. He Tiantian found a swimsuit in her suitcase.
After they were ready, the two walked out of the room and followed the signs to the changing room.
He Tiantian had just taken off her clothes when she was shivering from the cold; it was freezing cold.
She put on a bath towel and walked out of the dressing room, where Shen Yizhou was already waiting for her at the door.
There were many different small pools inside, and He Tiantian chose the Milk Rose Pool.
Shen Yizhou followed He Tiantian down; it was all the same to him.
There was a faint floral fragrance in the pool.
"Zhouzhou, this hot spring feels so comfortable!"
"Really? I can't sense it."
He Tiantian looked at Shen Yizhou with disdain; this man really didn't know anything.
The two then moved to a sulfur spring pool. He Tiantian looked at the efficacy label, which looked very powerful, with sterilization and insecticidal effects!
Shen Yizhou glanced at his phone on the shore and calculated that they had been soaking for about an hour. He thought he could take He Tiantian out for a late-night snack later.
A loud scream came from the pool next door. The two exchanged a glance, wrapped themselves in towels, and ran over.
A body was floating in the clear spring pool. He Tiantian went closer and saw that it was a pregnant woman...
The girl who screamed nearby had already run far away; she even tripped and fell to the ground halfway there.
"Zhouzhou, should we inform the staff at the hot spring?"
Just as He Tiantian finished speaking, two shop assistants rushed in through the door. They looked at the body with serious expressions and had no intention of calling the police.
"You two guests, you may go back now." One of the employees ushered the two back to their room.
After changing her clothes with Shen Yizhou, He Tiantian quietly slipped into the hot spring from the other side.
Two shop assistants put on waterproof clothing, scooped the pregnant woman out of the water, and then carried her to the storeroom.
The shop assistant put the body down and then left.
Shen Yizhou and He Tiantian came out from behind. The pregnant woman's belly was very big, and she looked like she was about to give birth.
The pregnant woman's belly was making movements from time to time. He Tiantian was stunned. The baby inside was still alive!
"Zhouzhou, let's call the police, otherwise the baby is still breathing!"
"I'm calling the police now."
After Shen Yizhou finished speaking, he took out his phone and dialed 110. The first dialing went dead after two beeps, and the second dialing showed that the number was not in service.
He looked at his phone with a strange expression, then dialed a third number, only to find there was no signal and he couldn't make the call.
Seeing Shen Yizhou's expression, which looked like he'd eaten shit, He Tiantian stepped forward and asked, "What's wrong, Zhouzhou? Is there no signal here?"
“We can’t call the police, and we can’t take care of the baby anymore. Let’s look for any clues first.”
Shen Yizhou then realized that he couldn't change other people's fates in the game; these people were just NPCs in the game.
He Tiantian also realized this, so she put away her pitiful saintly heart and began to look for clues on the pregnant woman.
The pregnant woman was wearing a high-necked, fluffy long dress, which looked exactly like she was going to soak in a hot spring.
Shen Yizhou pulled down her high collar, revealing several faint red finger marks, indicating that she had been choked.
He Tiantian lifted her skirt, revealing that the pregnant woman wasn't wearing underwear!
She awkwardly lowered her skirt and checked her body again; there were basically no wounds.
There was only one red mark on her neck, but that force wouldn't have been enough to kill her, because the fingerprint wasn't very obvious.
Footsteps sounded outside the door. Shen Yizhou looked around, and the two of them hid behind the dusty screen next to them.
A man with a cigarette in his mouth walked in, followed by three shop assistants.
"What kind of work are you doing? How am I supposed to do business after this?!" The man slammed the cigarette case and lighter onto the table with a loud bang.
A shop assistant timidly spoke up, "Boss, we haven't called the police, and this woman is here to see you."
"Bullshit! You believe everything she says? I don't even know her!" The man glared fiercely at the shop assistant.
The three shop assistants didn't dare to breathe. The boss sighed helplessly, "Find a place to bury her. Don't let my wife know that this woman came to me!"
