He Tiantian only cautiously peeked out when she heard the sound of water coming from the bathroom.
This was her first kiss, and it was taken away by Shen Gou.
Faint sounds came from the balcony. He Tiantian sat up and listened. It sounded like people were arguing.
She got out of bed and opened the balcony door; the loving couple from just moments ago had already left.
The arguing was coming from directly below, so she leaned out halfway to listen.
Woman: "So you're having an affair with her, right?"
Man: "No, honey, don't listen to her nonsense!"
Woman: "You still won't admit it? She said the child in her belly is yours."
Man: "Hey, what do you want me to say? Is this how our trust ends?"
Woman: "Do you think I don't want to trust you? How many times this month is this? Is your lower body really that hard to control?"
The man fell silent after hearing this, while the woman continued to sob.
He Tiantian listened to this conversation, wondering if they were talking about the dead woman. But she couldn't see their faces clearly.
Man: "Can you please be a little more polite when you speak?"
Woman: "Do you think I wanted to say this? It's all because you're a slut."
A crisp slapping sound suddenly rang out downstairs, startling He Tiantian so much that she covered her mouth.
The woman's sobs stopped abruptly, and she left the place in her high heels.
The man angrily kicked the wall behind him, then noticed a light coming from upstairs. He looked up and saw He Tiantian eavesdropping.
"You fucking bastard, haven't you ever seen people argue before? Stop being so gossipy!" the man cursed at He Tiantian.
He Tiantian was so startled that she immediately squatted down. She was extremely embarrassed to have been caught eavesdropping.
Shen Yizhou walked out of the bathroom and saw He Tiantian squatting on the floor. Was she still peeking? Did she really think that way?
He strode to the balcony, pulled He Tiantian up, and led her into the room.
"You don't need to peek; you can practice it yourself."
"Practice what?! Cheating?!"
Shen Yizhou was taken aback. "What are you looking at outside?"
"There's a couple arguing downstairs, talking about cheating."
Shen Yizhou fell silent for a moment, realizing that the two were not on the same wavelength at all.
He Tiantian looked at the silent Shen Yizhou and told him everything she had just heard.
"Did you see the face clearly? Could it be the boss?"
"It was too dark for me to see clearly, but the voice sounded very similar, especially when he was cursing at me."
Shen Yizhou nodded. "Let's go check out the bathhouse again tomorrow. It's past three o'clock, let's go to sleep."
He Tiantian crawled into the blankets; she had already forgotten what had just happened, but Shen Yizhou still remembered.
The two fell asleep quickly, probably because they had soaked in the hot spring.
Tonight, Xiaohong and Ling'er are on the night shift, and the two of them are dozing off at the front desk.
late at night.
A pregnant woman wearing a long black dress walked into the hotel and tapped the front desk with her finger.
Xiao Hong was startled and looked up at the woman in front of her, who was wearing a black baseball cap.
"Ma'am, are you looking for a room?"
"Yes, one room."
Xiao Hong picked up the ID card on the table; the headshot on it was of the woman who died tonight.
Her hand trembled, and her ID card fell from her hand. The woman slowly took off her baseball cap.
Xiao Hong screamed in fright and woke up to find there was no woman in front of her.
She gently patted her chest, guessing that she was too scared tonight, which was why she had such a dream.
The sound of flat shoes came from outside the door, and a woman in a long black dress walked in.
Xiao Hong's heart began to pound wildly. The woman looked up at Xiao Hong and said, "Hello, I'd like to book a room."
Only then did Xiaohong realize that the woman was not the pregnant woman.
She took the ID card with trembling hands, and it took her about 15 minutes to complete the procedures.
The woman took the keys and ID card, then pulled her black suitcase into the elevator.
Xiao Hong noticed that the woman's belly was protruding...
She slumped into a chair, shaking Ling'er awake.
"Ling'er, I just dreamt about a pregnant woman who died!"
"Xiao Hong, aren't you overthinking this? I'm so sleepy, I'm going to sleep a little longer."
Ling'er fell asleep immediately after speaking, while Xiao Hong spent the night in fear and trembling. She only dared to sleep when she returned to her dormitory during the day.
He Tiantian didn't wake up until after 1 p.m., and Shen Yizhou was already sitting on the balcony drinking hot coffee.
He was wearing gold-rimmed glasses and scrolling through his phone. He Tiantian blushed. Why was this man pretending to be so refined for no reason?
There was a steaming bowl of oden on the table, which looked like it had just been brought back not long ago.
She put on a fleece coat, went to the bathroom to quickly wash up, and then sat down to eat oden.
Shen Yizhou peeked into the room from the balcony. "The portion you ate was the one I ate... Yours is still in the bag."
He Tiantian was stunned; she had already eaten several pieces of radish!
Why didn't you say so sooner?!
"I didn't know you were awake."
He Tiantian put down her chopsticks and turned around to see that there was indeed an unopened dish on the ground.
She walked to the ground, picked up the portion she hadn't eaten, and pushed away Shen Yizhou's portion.
What a strange man! Why did he walk away halfway through his meal?
Shen Yizhou hid on the balcony and chuckled to himself. He took out the cigarettes he had just bought from his pocket and put one in his mouth.
After what happened last night, the relationship between the two has become somewhat delicate.
There was a knock on the door. He Tiantian turned her head and glanced at the door. Shen Yizhou walked in, a cigarette dangling from his lips, and waved to He Tiantian.
He gestured for her to continue eating while he went to open the door.
