The two explored the entire village but found no useful clues.
Shen Yizhou led He Tiantian back to the hotel, where the little girl from earlier hid under a tree, watching the two of them leave.
She hesitated whether to go up to the older woman, feeling a cold breath on her neck.
The little girl turned around and saw her uncle. She panicked and tried to run away, but the man grabbed her by the neck.
“My dear niece, where do you think you’re going? Your uncle has come to take you home.”
After the man finished speaking, he hugged the little girl in his arms and greedily inhaled the fruity scent emanating from his niece.
The little girl was so frightened that she dared not move, her body trembling violently, and the man covered her mouth.
The man led the little girl back into the village.
When the two returned to the hotel, the boss was standing at the front desk, lecturing his employees.
He Tiantian was certain that the voice was the same one that had been arguing downstairs last night.
She secretly watched her boss cursing, and as luck would have it, the boss suddenly turned around and looked at her.
When the boss saw the customer return, he immediately stopped yelling and switched to a nice tone.
"Oh, you must be guests, haha. The hotel is having a fish spa event tonight. You two can go check out the hot spring pool."
Shen Yizhou nodded indifferently, then pulled He Tiantian upstairs, since He Tiantian didn't intend to pay him any attention anyway.
The boss cursed at the two men's backs for a few moments, then turned back to continue lecturing his employees, essentially venting his anger from the previous night.
After returning to their room, the two sat on chairs on the balcony.
The couple was sitting in the pavilion below again, but this time the atmosphere was not good; the couple seemed to have quarreled.
The girl crossed her arms fiercely, while the boy looked at her apologetically.
The two remained deadlocked for a long time, neither of them taking the initiative to speak.
He Tiantian felt relieved. They were still bickering last night, but they started arguing today!
Looking at the little expression on He Tiantian's face, Shen Yizhou already knew what she was thinking.
There was a knock on the door, and He Tiantian stood up to open it.
It was Xiao Hong from the front desk! She handed He Tiantian two things that looked like coupons.
"Beautiful lady, the fish spa pool will be open tonight. Here are two trial cards."
"Oh, thank you. We'll go check it out tonight."
After He Tiantian finished speaking, she closed the door and looked at the trial card in her hand.
The sign said "Free trial of a professional fish spa, tonight only."
She handed the trial card to Shen Yizhou, "Want to try it out tonight? We can go check out the pool."
"Fish therapy? I think I'll check it out."
Shen Yizhou exhaled a puff of smoke, his eyes still fixed on the trial card in his hand.
Is the sudden release of this trial card an attempt to make everyone forget about yesterday?
He chuckled and tossed the trial card onto the table. He Tiantian rested her chin on her hands.
She was still thinking about what she had seen in the village. Could the owner of this place also be from the village?
Otherwise, how could they be so well-mannered!
When I looked at the pavilion again, the young couple had already left.
He Tiantian lost interest and went back to her room to lie on the bed. Her phone had no internet, which was really boring.
There wasn't even a TV in the room, I'm speechless.
Shen Yizhou checked the time; it was almost six o'clock. He could go downstairs for a meal.
He stubbed out his cigarette and went into the room. "Want to come downstairs and get something to eat?"
"Great! Does the fish spa start at 7:00 PM? We can go right after we finish eating."
"Okay, take the trial card. We'll go after dinner."
The two went down to the restaurant, where a few people were sitting sparsely, and it looked very deserted.
The waiter handed the menu to He Tiantian. She looked through the menu but didn't find anything she particularly wanted to eat. She ordered a coffee fried pork cutlet rice and then gave the menu to Shen Yizhou.
Shen Yizhou ordered a cheese beef rice bowl.
The waiter took the menu after taking the order. He Tiantian looked around and felt an indescribable sense of oppression. The overhead lights were a dim yellow, and she wondered what they were thinking when they used such lights.
Perhaps because there were few people, the waiter brought the food quickly. He Tiantian took a bite, but it didn't taste particularly special.
She looked at the beef in Shen Yizhou's bowl and said, "Can I have a bite? I want to try it and see what it tastes like."
Without waiting for Shen Yizhou's reply, she reached out with her chopsticks, picked up a piece of beef, and put it in her mouth to savor the taste.
It tastes so much better than her curry rice! If I come to eat tomorrow, I'll have this! To make sure Shen Yizhou doesn't feel cheated, she gave him a fried pork chop as well.
He Tiantian ate more than half of her food and then didn't want to eat anymore. She put down her chopsticks and wiped her mouth. Shen Yizhou was still chewing slowly. He Tiantian opened her eyes wide. It seemed like she hadn't weighed herself in a long time!
Sighing with frustration, I realized I absolutely couldn't eat any more snacks; I already felt my belly had gotten bigger.
Shen Yizhou checked the time; it was almost 7:00 PM, just 6 minutes away. He was deliberately eating so slowly to make up the time.
After wiping her mouth clean, she waved to the waiter to pay the bill. The meal cost a whopping 74 yuan! Looking at the bill in her hand, He Tiantian thought, "This boss is really obsessed with money."
She threw down the bill speechlessly. The food was neither tasty nor authentic, yet they dared to charge such a high price. No wonder no one comes to eat here!
The two arrived at the entrance of the hot spring, where there were already people waiting inside, presumably there for the fish spa experience.
The clerk was checking the tickets, and soon it was the two of them's turn. Shen Yizhou took out the experience ticket from his pocket.
The clerk tore off a corner of the experience ticket and returned it to Shen Yizhou, saying, "Please line up to go in, you'll be there soon."
