He Tiantian grew more and more tired as she ran. She turned around and looked behind her, and it seemed that no one was chasing her anymore.
Now all she needed to do was find Shen Yizhou, she turned on her flashlight.
The flashlight beam shone directly on a large tree, and she looked in the direction of the beam.
A man in a gray cloth shirt stood under the tree, smiling at He Tiantian, as if he had been waiting for her there all along.
He Tiantian was stunned for a moment, then slowly backed away, while the man approached her step by step.
She turned and started running, with the man chasing after her frantically.
Shen Yizhou ran out from the other side. He looked at He Tiantian's running figure, and then at the man behind her.
He turned around, grabbed a stick, caught up with the man, and struck him on the head with the stick.
The man showed no reaction whatsoever, as if he felt no pain.
He Tiantian turned around, looking at Shen Yizhou with surprise, then at the man who was about to go crazy.
She turned around and ran back, kicking the man in the groin!
The man reacted this time, rolling to the ground in pain; He Tiantian had used all her strength in that kick.
Shen Yizhou looked at He Tiantian in surprise, and she pulled him along and started running forward.
As he ran, he looked at He Tiantian's back and felt a complicated feeling. Would she really do this to him?
After a half-hour hike, the two finally saw the back of the hotel, which was still brightly lit.
Laughter from the villagers could be heard from time to time. He Tiantian glanced at it with disgust, thinking it was utterly repulsive.
Relying on his memory, Shen Yizhou led He Tiantian back to the hotel, where the old lady was already dozing off at the front desk.
The two of them quietly went inside, afraid of waking the old lady.
Back in her room, He Tiantian picked up her phone from the bed and glanced at it; it was already 3:22 a.m.
This whole ordeal actually took up so much time?
He Tiantian took off her down jacket, revealing that her sweater underneath was soaked with sweat.
"Zhouzhou, I'm so hot, go open the window." He Tiantian said and then lay down on the bed. She was going to take a shower later.
Shen Yizhou walked to the window and opened it a crack, letting in the cold wind.
He Tiantian finally calmed down a bit, and her body was no longer as hot as before.
After resting, He Tiantian took her pajamas and went to the bathroom.
The floor inside was a yellowish-brown color. He Tiantian endured the discomfort and quickly took a shower, unsure if Shen Yizhou would accept it...
He Tiantian didn't linger for a moment; she quickly put on her clothes and left the restroom.
"Zhouzhou, the toilet is a bit dirty, can you wash it?"
Shen Yizhou sighed, "It's no use complaining now."
He picked up his clothes, stood up, and went into the restroom. As soon as he took his first step inside, every cell in his body was resisting.
Shen Yizhou took a shower with his eyes closed, and came out of the toilet after a quick rinse.
He Tiantian lay in bed scrolling through her phone. Ever since she changed the bed sheets, she felt much more comfortable.
After Shen Yizhou finished tidying everything up, he lay down next to He Tiantian.
By this time, the villagers had had enough fun and were preparing to go back to their rooms to rest.
The villagers who had previously led the bullying of the boss were about to get up when their feet seemed to be held down by something, and they couldn't stand up no matter what they did.
"Old Yang, help me up, I feel someone touching my foot."
"No way, are you getting older?"
The two were pulling each other back and forth in the pool, almost exhausted, when there was movement underwater, and he was pulled into the water.
The villagers standing nearby didn't dare to step forward to help, while the old woman in the far corner watched the scene unfold.
She sighed and walked away, "This is all karma."
The man convulsed a few times in the water and then immediately stopped breathing.
Almost everyone around had left, leaving only Old Yang standing there. He knew this was retribution, but he didn't expect it to come so quickly.
The lights in the pool were all off, and only the man's body floated silently on the water.
Half of the villagers felt it was bad luck and returned to the village, while a few villagers didn't care.
The village chief returned to his room on the third floor and saw the little girl who had already died.
He glanced at it disdainfully, "It's really too fragile."
The villagers standing guard outside the door kept their heads down and waited for the village chief to leave before they came in to begin cleaning up the little girl's body.
The room was starting to smell bad, which meant she had been dead for several days.
The village chief, smoking opium, sat in the main seat downstairs. He already knew what had just happened.
"Heh, he got what he deserved, it has nothing to do with us." The village chief waved his hand dismissively after saying that.
"Village chief, will we be implicated too?"
The old woman stood up nervously; she didn't want to be punished unnecessarily because of them.
"Go away, go away, what are you saying, you old woman? This kind of thing can happen anytime."
"That's right, Li Ma, you should go back to sleep, it's almost dawn."
Urged on by the men around her, Li Ma finally went home, leaving a large group of male villagers at the village chief's house.
The village chief walked to the warehouse with a smile, "I'll show you something today."
He opened the warehouse door, and the smell inside was extremely pungent, as if someone had defecated or urinated inside.
The villagers followed the village chief with some hesitation. Could this village chief be lying?
It wasn't until the village chief stepped forward and turned on the light bulb in the middle that seven girls were found lying on the haystack.
The villagers stared in disbelief. Were these the city girls? They all had delicate skin and were completely different from the village girls.
Their blood began to boil, and they all rushed forward eagerly.
