Wu Xiong glared at the landlady, "Old woman, something's not right with you tonight? You never come to 504 at this hour."

Shen Yizhou checked the time; it was a little past five in the afternoon. He took He Tiantian out and found a nearby supermarket for a big shopping trip.

Wang Lu took off his raincoat and threw it under a box in the stairwell. He took the knife back home and opened the box with a small silver key.
Inside was a photo of him and Li Rou, both of them smiling happily. Wang Lu's face was covered in tears. He picked up the blue hair clip, which Li Rou was protecting very well.
They had said they would keep each other's hair clips safe, which were essentially tokens of their love.
As time went by, the two grew up and realized that their relationship was something that couldn't be made public. However, their parents found out, and Li Rou's mother threatened to commit suicide to force Li Rou to break off contact with Wang Lu.
In the end, she chose to marry Wu Xiong, but she did not have a good life. Wu Xiong was an alcoholic and would beat Li Rou when he was drunk.
Wang Lu did not listen to his family and insisted on undergoing gender reassignment surgery for Li Rou. He is now a complete man, but Li Rou still did not choose him.

He slowly descended from the sixth floor to the fourth floor, heading straight for room 404. He decided to be polite to the two of them and chose to knock on the door first.
Shen Yizhou took out a piece of hemp rope, leaned half his body out of the window, and tied it to the balcony of 504.
Wang Lu's patience was wearing thin. Not wanting to make too much noise, he took out the 404 key from his pocket, inserted it into the lock, and slowly turned the lock.
Zhang Yunmei, that suicidal person, came out and, seeing Wang Lu wearing a raincoat, mistook her for Shen Yizhou.
"Mr. Shen! What a coincidence! You just got home."
