"The teacher is coming! Scatter!" the girl waved to the people surrounding her.
The students all consciously returned to their seats, leaving only the six of them standing awkwardly in place.
"Did you guys come to the wrong class? Or are you trying to sneak into another class?!"
"Teacher, we're sorry, we went to the wrong place and will leave now. We've disturbed you!"
He Tiantian apologized to the teacher, feeling embarrassed, and then pulled them out of the classroom.
The moment they stepped outside, the timeline vanished, and they were back in the pitch-black scene.
They were all stunned for a moment. They'd already entered the timeline so quickly?
He Tiantian told everyone everything she had heard.
"If we're really talking about the cause of death, I'd guess it was caused by playing with a Ouija board," Shen Yizhou commented.
The familiar "ding" sound rang out.
[Congratulations to players Shen Yizhou and He Tiantian! You have completed all the tasks and won first place. Please wait patiently for your teammates in other rankings to appear, and enjoy your remaining time on campus.]
The two stared at each other blankly. "That's it?"
Zhang Qin looked at the two of them strangely, "What are you talking about, 'It's over'?"
"We've completed our mission..." He Tiantian said somewhat awkwardly.
The others immediately repeated Shen Yizhou's words and, sure enough, received a notification that the task was completed. Now that the task was completed, He Tiantian planned to go back to her dormitory and get a good night's sleep.
Shen Yizhou escorted He Tiantian back to her dormitory building. "You should rest well these next few days. We don't know how long it will take the other players to finish."
"I know, I think I'll definitely be resting for three days again when I get back to the rest area."
He Tiantian was a little annoyed. The change of dungeons was so sudden. Was this going to exhaust the players so that new players could take their place?
"Don't think too much about it, go back and get some rest."
He Tiantian nodded in agreement with Shen Yizhou's words. She really needed to rest. He didn't treat the players like human beings at all. Even a cow needs to rest!
The two went back to their dorm and went to sleep.
Cheng An and Ye He went to the canteen for a meal. Jiang Wen said he had a headache and asked them to send the food back to him.
The two went to the window to get their food. "Aunt Xiang, the usual, three servings, please."
The woman named Aunt Xiang didn't really want to pay attention to the two teachers; the school knew about their situation.
Now that Wang Jun is dead, it will soon be their turn.
Cheng An and Ye He were well aware of the situation themselves; it was their own fault for failing to compete based on their fathers' connections.
The two returned to the teachers' dormitory with the food, and Ye He went to Jiang Wenfang's door and knocked.
"Old Jiang, the food's back. Come out and eat quickly."
Ye He knocked on the door twice, but Jiang Wen inside didn't answer, so she didn't want to just barge in.
"Old Jiang?"
Hearing Ye He's call, Cheng An also went to the door and knocked, but no one answered after several knocks.
"Old Cheng, shall we go in and take a look?"
"Okay, let's go straight in."
Cheng An opened the door and found Jiang Wen standing motionless with his back to them. Ye He sighed in exasperation.
He walked up to him and patted his arm. "Old Jiang, get up and eat. You haven't finished your presentation yet."
Ye He slapped Jiang Wen several times, but Jiang Wen didn't react, so he simply turned Jiang Wen around.
Jiang Wen's eyes were open, and his expression was one of extreme terror as he stared at one spot.
This terrified Ye He, who immediately knelt on the bed. Cheng An tentatively reached out and touched Jiang Wen's nose.
"It's over, Jiang Wen is dead too, he's not breathing..."
Ye He felt an endless despair. It seemed that soon it would be his and Cheng An's turn. What was bound to happen had finally arrived.
"Old Cheng, this is the mess we've made, we're guilty!" Ye He collapsed, clutching her head in despair.
Cheng An knew this, of course, but there was nothing he could do about it.
The two returned to the living room in silence to eat. If this was their last meal, they would rather eat their fill.
"Old Cheng, I'm full and I'm going back to my room. I haven't finished making the presentation slides yet."
Cheng An nodded silently, still putting food into his mouth, seemingly unaware that he was full.
As he ate, tears streamed down his face. He really wanted to apologize to Feng Ying. She was at the prime of her life, yet he had ruined it.
There's only one day left before class starts.
Jiang Wen's body was taken away by people sent by the new principal, and the teachers' dormitory that originally housed four people has now become a dormitory for two.
The two sat in silence in the living room until Ye He finally broke the silence.
"Old Cheng, have you ever regretted it...?"
"Yes, of course I've regretted it."
Ye He didn't actually think he had done anything wrong, because he was just the one recording the video; he wasn't involved at all.
"But I didn't do anything wrong."
"Hmph, you knew perfectly well that this was wrong, yet you didn't stop it. That's what you did wrong."
"Then let me ask you, what choice did I have? I was forced into this situation. Do you think I wanted this?"
"I knew it! Ye He, we were both wrong, stop making excuses for yourself."
Ye He lowered his head in silence. He was indeed still trying to find a way out, but a mistake was a mistake.
Cheng An didn't say anything. He went into his room to rest. He was going to teach his students tomorrow, and he couldn't imagine how they would look at him.
When He Tiantian learned that she had to go to class the next day, she was completely devastated. She had only had two days of rest, and now she had to go to class?!?
She frantically vented her emotions to Shen Yizhou.
