Chapter 3

Chapter 3

The man's kiss was so intense that Song Nanke felt like she'd been stung by a jellyfish.

"If you dare bring someone else home," Yan Heng said grimly, "I'll tie you up."

Song Nanke had a fiery temper. He sneered, "Is it any of your business? I can go home with whomever I want!"

He got up, grabbed the man's arm, and tried to throw him over his shoulder.

But Yan Heng was so strong that not only could he not budge the other man, he was also held tightly in the man's arms from behind.

He turned his face to try and get the other person to let go, but the back of his neck bumped into the other person's lips.

It's like putting the gland right up to your mouth.

Blood rushed to his face, and Song Nanke felt his vision turn red; his face was burning hot.

"release!"

He elbowed the man backward, and the man groaned as he released his grip.

Song Nanke turned around and raised her knee to kick the other man, but the man grabbed her thigh and touched her inner skin with his fingertips.

Song Nanke was furious as he suddenly retreated. He threw a punch, but the man caught it in his palm, revealing the obvious difference in strength.

Song Nanke was like a cat with its fur standing on end, his anger making his vision blurry. "Yan Heng, what have I done to offend you that you're playing this trick on me?"

Yan Heng paused for a moment, his brows furrowed slightly, but his Adam's apple bobbed almost imperceptibly.

Seeing his silence, Song Nanke was furious and punched Yan Heng hard in the chest again.

The two bumped into each other, but a waiter, unaware of what was happening, pushed a cake cart over with a slicing knife on it.

As Song Nanke stumbled, he was about to knock over the cart. Just as the knife was about to hit him and they both fell to the ground, Yan Heng put his arm behind Song Nanke and wrapped his long arm around him, protecting him completely in his arms.

When the knife struck the man's back, Yan Heng's expression didn't change much; he only frowned and let out a muffled groan.

Warm liquid dripped from the man's neck and splashed onto Song Nanke's face, making the latter's heart feel as if it had been squeezed hard.

He sat up to examine Yan Heng's injury, his voice trembling with anxiety, "Where are you hurt?"

Yan Heng's phone lay beside him, but several messages flashed across the screen, all related to Omega.

Song Nanke glanced at the other person briefly, then suddenly felt a little agitated. She released the other person's grip and said, "Call your friend over. I have to go."

He turned around, but his wrist was grabbed.

Turning around, Yan Heng's face was pale. He suddenly swayed and fell straight down towards him.

Song Nanke sensed something was wrong and touched the other person's neck.

When he saw the blood dripping from his palm, his heart sank.

"Let's get to the hospital right away." He helped the man out. "What if the gland is damaged?"

"I'm fine." Yan Heng smiled weakly and looked at the male models. "If you want to leave, you can go first."

"You're right, it's your freedom to choose who you want to go home with."

"Shut up." Song Nanke put her arm around the other person's shoulder, glanced at them, and said in a firm tone, "Is a gland injury something to be taken lightly? Go see a doctor first."

After getting into the car, Song Nanke deliberately released very little pheromone, and the scent of red wine wafted out.

He turned his head unintentionally, only to meet Yan Heng's gaze, which was as dark and deep as a dormant volcano in the night.

Song Nanke suddenly felt confused, so Yan Heng leaned on his shoulder.

The subtle scent of sandalwood brushed against the back of my neck like downy feathers.

Alpha pheromones are normally only meant to fight each other, but due to addiction, they become entangled.

The night was like a swamp, and even the moonlight was mired in the mud.

For some reason, Song Nanke did not push Yan Heng away.

***

After going to the hospital, the diagnosis was not good.

Pheromones addiction had already affected Yan Heng's glands, and the injury only made things worse.

After being admitted to the hospital, Yan Heng developed a fever after a simple suture and fell into a coma in the middle of the night.

Song Nanke first drew up glandular fluid to mix with pheromone perfume, then stayed by her side all night, but her dream was absurd and nonsensical.

In Moonlight Lake, a giant python was tightly coiled around his waist, choking him so much that he couldn't breathe.

The snake kept licking itself—its lips, neck, chest, and even probing inside its lips.

In the nightmare, he was unable to move until he felt a venomous tooth bite his chest, at which point he cried out in alarm.

When he woke up, Yan Heng was still asleep.

Song Nanke tiptoed out to buy breakfast, but found herself feeling hot and bothered.

Not only were my lips very sore, but my chest also felt inexplicably numb.

Before she could even stand properly back in the ward, the man grabbed her arm. "Where have you been?"

Why is my illness becoming increasingly persistent?

Song Nanke instinctively wanted to push him away, but he held back.

Yan Heng looked really bad. The sunlight made his skin pale like thin ice, and his eyebrows and eyes lost their sharpness, giving him a delicate beauty that seemed fragile at the slightest touch.

The two sat down to eat breakfast. Yan Heng drank his porridge, but kept staring at the jianbing guozi in Song Nanke's hand.

The latter, feeling uncomfortable under the stare, then held it to the man's mouth.

Unexpectedly, Yan Heng's bite resulted in the drug being applied to Song Nanke's finger. The latter winced in pain, only realizing then that Yan Heng had just touched her finger—

Fortunately, the phone rang at that moment. As soon as Song Nanke answered, he heard his childhood friend crying.

It turned out that the other person was waiting for him at his house, and out of boredom, saw the addictive drink and drank it too.

I feel dizzy, my face is burning, and I feel completely exhausted.

Song Nanke cursed the other party for causing him trouble, but he couldn't leave when Yan Heng was weak. He only sent a message to his childhood friend, asking him to come to the hospital, saying that he could hug him and release his pheromones.

He had just sent it when he saw Yan Heng standing next to him, staring at his screen.

"I'm a little dizzy," the man said, pressing his temples, his smile fragile and transparent. "Could you... help me out again?"

"Let me hold you—"

"no."

Song Nanke shook his head.

If Yan Heng and the Omega are truly a couple, even if it's just to satisfy his addiction, he can no longer maintain this ambiguous relationship with them.

He took out several test tubes from his pocket. "This is the pheromone perfume I got mixed last night. If you feel uncomfortable, just spray some on."

This stuff was hard to come by, and the pain of having his gland fluid drawn was so intense that he almost rolled on the ground in agony.

Like a crocodile about to emerge from the shore and dive back into the deep pool, a dangerous glint flashed in the man's eyes.

But when Song Nanke looked closely, he saw that Yan Heng's face was only pale.

He ended by saying thank you.

***

Yan Heng developed a fever again in the afternoon and fell asleep soon after.

Once Song Nanke saw that the situation had stabilized, he quietly called over his childhood friend who was squatting in the courtyard.

His childhood friend let out a sigh of relief and started teasing again, "You're making it sound like we're having an affair, Song Nanke. You don't have a crush on me, do you?"

Song Nanke said expressionlessly, "Yes, I have a crush on you. It hurts so much that every hair on my head aches."

The two found a corner, and Song Nanke opened her arms, letting the other person hug her.

Strangely, neither he nor his childhood friend felt anything when they hugged.

Song Nanke felt a little sleepy and yawned while leaning against his childhood friend's chest.

"Sigh, the Omega I was pursuing rejected me again."

My childhood friend, who is also an Alpha, is filled with sadness at this moment.

"Song Nanke, why don't you marry me?"

Song Nanke glared at the other person and said coldly, "Fine, call me husband."

"Husband~" My childhood friend mischievously teased, her voice trailing off in a meandering manner, "Husband~~~, isn't it sweet to me?"

Song Nanke felt a chill run down his spine and raised his knee to kick the other man.

In the midst of laughter and merriment, a sudden, explosive sound rang in my ears—a crash, like a whole pane of glass shattering.

The two suddenly let go, and Song Nanke walked out from the corner, her gaze unexpectedly meeting Yan Heng's at the end of the corridor.

The man was half-submerged in shadow, his pupils as black as gun barrels, as if trying to pierce through the two of them.
