"Didn't you pick some matsutake mushrooms before and give them away as thank-you gifts?" Pei Huai tried to keep his voice normal so that Li Miao wouldn't realize he was trying to find out more.

"Just let you touch me, just for a moment." Li Xuan loosened his grip on Li Miao a little.
He would say something and then stroke the cat's head once, never touching it more than that.
"Hello Li Miao, I'm Pei Qingsong, your brother's boyfriend. It's nice to meet you."
Li Xuan's ears turned slightly red.
"Meow~" (Okay, my brother's boyfriend)
Li Miao called out softly twice.
"Now that we know each other, go ahead and cook. Thank you for your hard work," Li Xuan said.
"It's nothing. You told me before that my brother was coming over for dinner." Pei Qingsong went back to his room to change his clothes and prepared to go to the kitchen to cook.
When they came out, they saw Li Xuan playing with Li Miao, teasing her with his own toys. Li Miao was having a great time.
