Zhoushan Village

Zhoushan Village

"Stop arguing here. Just leave your life behind today," Yu Zhu said coldly.

"That depends on whether you have the ability."

The man in the black robe clapped his hands, and a circle of cultivators descended from the sky, surrounding Yu Zhu from the front and back.

As expected, the Immortal Peak Pavilion had been lying in wait in the capital for some time.

"Capture her alive!"

The cultivators of the Immortal Peak Pavilion picked up their weapons and attacked Yu Zhu.

Yu Zhu used the Wind and Snow Technique, leaping and soaring among the cultivators of the Immortal Peak Pavilion. The frost cut through their skin and flesh, forming a layer of shallow ice, yet the cold penetrated to the bone.

A few breaths later, everyone from the Immortal Pavilion collapsed to the ground, but Yu Zhu was not stained with a single drop of blood.

These days, she has been constantly circulating the spiritual and magical power within her body, which has increased her cultivation level. The array within her meridians has also been strengthened by her time and time again.

"The meridians we've expanded are indeed powerful."

A smile appeared on the black-robed man's face. Suddenly, he formed a hand seal, and dark purple spiritual energy rippled outwards.

"Mirage Array, you are a member of the Baili clan!"

"Qiongfang's disciple was once so glorious, how could he have gone mad from his cultivation? I guess it must be related to his demonic bloodline."

The man in black robes waved his hand, and streams of demonic energy rained down on Yu Zhu. Yu Zhu drew her sword to defend herself, but several streams of demonic energy still managed to reach her brow.

Yu Zhu turned her head, and a magical force brushed across her forehead.

"Senior Sister Yu, we're about to enter the Zhou Mountain territory."

Zhou Shan, that name sounds familiar.

Yu Zhu suddenly remembered that not long ago, she had overheard her master talking to the elders at Luo Bai Residence.

Master said that it would be great if we could find the magic crystal, which is said to be in Zhou Mountain.

Yu Zhu thought for a moment, "You all rest here and stay alert. Pick a few people to come with me up the mountain to take a look."

After thinking for a moment, she sent a message to Qiongfang.

With a few disciples, Yu Zhu soon reached the foot of the mountain. There, she saw a neatly tended vegetable garden and a cluster of houses surrounded by a fence in the distance. Apart from the occasional birdsong from the forest, the place was peaceful and serene.

There used to be a village on the mountain.

But Yu Zhu and the others couldn't help but grip their swords tighter.

Concealing their presence, the group approached and entered the village. There was no one on the village road, and even the houses were silent. Firewood, farm tools, and other items were scattered on the ground.

A faint smell of rust lingered in the air, and everyone's expressions turned serious.

As you continue walking, you see several figures moving about.

Yu Zhu and the others hid behind the house to observe. It seemed to be a council hall, with six men standing outside the door, holding swords.

Two men were lying on the ground, their condition unknown, but judging from their clothes, they were probably from the village.

The hall doors were wide open, and there seemed to be quite a few people inside, with faint sounds of weeping emanating from them.

Yu Zhu made a few hand gestures to the others, and they went around to the back of the council hall.

"Who is causing trouble here?" Yu Zhu leaped out.

Upon seeing the jade-patterned robe, the group exclaimed, "They're from the Yingtian Sect! Attack!"

Yu Zhu swung his sword, and as the sword's light flashed, three people fell to the ground.

Seeing that things were not going well, they turned around to take the people inside the house hostage, but the disciples of Yingtian Sect had already dealt with two people from behind and blocked the front of the hall.

The tip of the jade bamboo sword was pointed at the throat of one of them. "Are you people of the Demon God?"

The man did not answer, appearing resigned to his fate. With a slight movement of the sword tip, the blood that had been spraying out halfway turned into red frost and fell down.

The person at the tip of the jade bamboo sword has changed. "You, tell me, what brings you here?"

"Senior Sister Yu, the village chief said that some of them have gone up the mountain!" said the disciple who was checking on the villagers inside the hall.

Yu Zhu stepped into the hall, where an older man was negotiating with a disciple of the Yingtian Sect.

"The village chief said another group of people went up the mountain. Where did they go? Do you know what they're going to do?"

The village chief said, "They came up the mountain from behind the village, saying they were looking for some kind of magic crystal."

Yu Zhu suddenly opened her eyes wide and instructed, "I'll go up the mountain first. You call the others over and inform the sect."

Yu Zhu hurried along the path she had trod up the mountain.

A short while later, they heard voices.

There were more than twenty people in the woods in front of the cave.

"This is the legendary magic crystal? It doesn't look special at all." One person held a black crystal in their hand.

"Who cares? Someone revealed that there's treasure here. We were just trying our luck anyway. If we get it, we'll take it back and present it to the Demon God."

Suddenly, a strong wind arose, and leaves were blown off the branches and swept towards the group of people.

"who?"

"Who stole my magic crystal?"

When the wind stopped, the magic crystal in the man's hand had vanished.

"Let's hurry and chase after them!"

"No rush, let's lead that monster out of the cave."

What if we can't control them once they're brought out?

"It's the guardian beast of the magic crystal. It will go berserk sooner or later if the magic crystal is lost. We might as well let it go and snatch the magic crystal back while we still can control it."

Yu Zhu clutched the magic crystal she had just acquired and ran down the mountain. Suddenly, she heard a roar behind her and immediately stopped.

"So you are a fellow Daoist from the Yingtian Sect."

Yu Zhu turned her head, and her head, which looked like a monster made of stone, was being dragged forward with its four legs bound.

"This is the guardian beast of the magic crystal." The leader pressed his knife against the rope. "Do you think those people down the mountain will survive?"

"If I give you the magic crystal, won't you cut the rope?"

"Of course not." He smiled slightly.

Yu Zhu took out a magic crystal from her bosom with her left hand and swiftly swung her sword with her right hand. The fierce sword wind pierced through two or three people in the front row.

The leader blocked the way with his sword, and in shock, he quickly tore off the ropes binding the monster.

The monster flipped over and pounced on Yuzhu. She threw the magic crystal, which then embedded itself back into the depression between the monster's eyebrows.

Unexpectedly, the ropes that had been loosened earlier bound the monster again.

"This is a magical artifact that I crafted with great care."

The leader chuckled and pried out the magic crystal. "I'm taking the magic crystal. Let this monster keep you company for a while."

After saying that, he flew into the air and conjured a flying boat. The rest of the people also jumped onto the flying boat, and in an instant, the flying boat flew half a mile away.

The monster roared and chased after the airship.

Upon seeing this, Yu Zhu quickly returned to the council hall. "The magical beasts have been awakened. We must leave here immediately."

The disciples of Yingtian Sect looked troubled. "There are over a hundred villagers here, most of them demonic cultivators, the strongest of whom are only at the Foundation Establishment stage. How do we get there?"

At that moment, a man in white landed in the courtyard.

Yu Zhu's eyes lit up. "Master, the demons took the magic crystals and flew away in a flying boat."

Qiongfang's expression darkened slightly. "Which direction did they go?"

Yu Zhu pointed out the direction, and Qiong Fang immediately placed it in the air.

"Master, there are still demonic beasts!" Yu Zhu shouted.

The disciples of Yingtian Sect relaxed, "The Immortal Venerable has arrived, that's good."

"Thank you all for your help," the village chief said, bowing to the crowd.

One of the disciples replied, "Village chief, there's no need for thanks. It's only right for disciples of the Yingtian Sect to eliminate demons and protect the righteous path."

"Then..."

Boom—Boom—

The sound of houses collapsing rang out one after another.

"Oh no! That demonic beast is back. Activate your spiritual energy shields to protect the villagers," Yu Zhu instructed.

The monsters crashed and destroyed large areas of houses.

Yu Zhu gripped his sword and flew out, slashing at the demonic beast, but its body was so hard that he could not break it.

She infused her spiritual power into Qing Shuang and slashed again, but only managed to cut off a piece of stone.

The monster went berserk, rampaging and lunging repeatedly at Yuzhu.

Yu Zhu observed the monster while dodging. Apart from its eyes, nose, and mouth, which appeared to be fleshy, the rest of the monster was made of stone. These stones were affected by the magic crystal and became hard and difficult to break.

She gathered her strength and stabbed at the monster's eye.

clang!

The frost met its eyes, producing a reverberation, while the jade bamboo attacked its nose and mouth, leaving only cracks.

This monster was made entirely of stone.

puff!

Yu Zhu was violently slammed to the ground by the monster, and the machine kicked up a cloud of dust.

"Senior Sister Yu!"

Seeing that Yu Zhu was no match for the beast, ten of the sixteen disciples of Ying Tian Sect came out to fight the demonic beast, while the remaining few set up a spiritual energy shield to prevent the demonic beast from accidentally injuring the villagers.

A moment later, the disciples were also knocked to the ground by the magical beast.

Seeing that the monster was about to stomp on a disciple, Yu Zhu slid to her knees, held her sword horizontally with both hands to block the monster's foot, and only rolled away herself after the disciple was thrown off.

The monster grew increasingly frenzied, but Yu Zhu and the others had only managed to knock off half of its head, not to mention that it was as large as a council hall.

In the blink of an eye, Yu Zhu and her disciples were repeatedly knocked away by the demonic beasts, their clothes stained with blood, and their spiritual energy was about to be exhausted.

Four more disciples joined the fight, but they too suffered the same fate as Yu Zhu.

Once again thrown into the air, Yu Zhu, like the other disciples, fell into a coma. She quickly opened her eyes and felt her meridians regain their strength.

The monster is ramming into the spiritual energy shield. The two remaining disciples are still gritting their teeth and holding on, but the spiritual energy shield is on the verge of breaking.

Yu Zhu flew away, forming hand seals to re-erect the protective shield, but unexpectedly, the power released was dark blue magic.

She was shocked and instinctively let go, but the two disciples could not hold on any longer. The spiritual energy shield suddenly disappeared, and the demonic beast rushed back. She erected another magical energy shield, and the demonic beast crashed into it.

What's going on? Yu Zhu was filled with surprise and doubt.

As the monster continued to ram into her, Yu Zhu could only instinctively stabilize her magic shield. Slowly, blood began to flow from the corner of Yu Zhu's mouth, and her veins erupted in excruciating pain. Cracks also appeared in her magic shield.

The monster made one impact, and Yuzhu suddenly knelt on the ground.

"Fairy, so you have demon blood." The village chief walked up to her and said, with a group of people behind him.

“Go back.” Yu Zhu gritted her teeth and squeezed out the two words.

"When the fairy was unconscious just now, it seemed that the thing on the fairy's chest overflowed with magic and entered the fairy's body, which may have awakened the fairy's bloodline."

Yu Zhu frowned, intending to tell the village chief to go back, but instead spat out a mouthful of blood.

"Does the fairy know that the demon race's bloodline is inherently violent and can seize the power of others to enrich themselves?"

Yu Zhu's eyes widened, and she asked in a hoarse voice, "What do you mean?"

The village chief suddenly knelt down, and a group of people behind him also knelt down with a thud.

He cried and said, "Please, fairy, save us! I'm over two hundred years old, and some of the children in the hall are only a few years old!"

"Please, fairy, take away my power and save them!"

The people behind them knelt down and prayed, "Please, fairy, please, fairy, we are doing this willingly, we've had enough of living."

Yu Zhu then heard a muffled sob coming from inside the hall, which had been suppressed for some time.

"Please, fairy, save our family!"

"Please, fairy!"

"It...it hasn't gotten to that point yet." Yu Zhu didn't even believe her own words.

If the monster crashes in twice more, her magic shield will break down.
