Chapter 230 The Murderer 1 (2/2)

"Fuck, dumb? Do you have money?"

Fang Zhiyi pursed his lips: "No."

He wanted to leave, but the man and his companions stopped him: "This is my territory, brother, you have to pay the toll to pass through."

Fang Zhiyi clenched his fists. He didn't want to be bullied anymore. He had nothing now anyway.

"Monroe, when will you pay me back the money you owe me?" A voice came, and the man who had just grabbed Fang Zhiyi's collar raised his head, and he seemed to become a little afraid.

Fang Zhiyi suddenly swung his fist, and the man was caught off guard and staggered a few steps. Fang Zhiyi took the opportunity to escape. The man reacted and wanted to chase him, but was stopped by his debtor.

He ran for an unknown amount of time but he was completely lost when suddenly a hand grabbed him and dragged him into a small alley.

Fang Zhiyi raised his hand to hit someone, but his fist stopped abruptly. There was a dim light in the alley, and a girl wearing a hoodie and with freckles on her face stared at him.

This was how he met Mia.

Mia took him to the place where she lived, which was a living room converted from a sewer. Looking at the electronic parts scattered everywhere, Fang Zhiyi was a little absent-minded.

Mia introduced, "I picked these up. Don't look at me like this, but I'm quite proficient in mechanics." She paused, "I saw it all. You actually dared to hit Monroe. You're really amazing."

Fang Zhiyi didn't say anything. He felt his mind was in a mess, as if some scenes that did not belong to his memory kept flashing through his mind. Seeing him hugging his head, Mia shrugged: "Just rest here for the next day. But to be honest, I saved you because I needed help." She turned her head and saw Fang Zhiyi lying on the ground.

"Falling asleep so quickly?"

When Fang Zhiyi woke up the next day, he felt sore in his back and head.

He had a strange dream. A huge black monster enveloped him, and all around him were distorted scenes. Suddenly, he was pulled out and thrown violently to the ground...

He rubbed his head, looked at the messy scene around him and the old quilt covering himself, and finally remembered what happened yesterday.

"Are you awake? You slept here with me yesterday, so I took it as you agreed to help. Don't think about refusing to help." Mia sat cross-legged on the old chair.

Fang Zhiyi nodded and looked at Mia carefully. Mia was wearing a pair of black-framed glasses with the legs wrapped with tape. She was fiddling with something in her hands.

When Mia saw Fang Zhiyi wake up, she started chattering, but most of the chatter was nonsense. Maybe she often stayed alone, so when she met Fang Zhiyi, she would talk nonstop.

Fang Zhiyi listened silently. He always felt that he had forgotten something very important.

"Aren't you afraid that I'm a bad person?" Fang Zhiyi asked suddenly.

Mia was stunned for a moment, looking him up and down. "Can you talk?" She stopped what she was doing, jumped off the chair, walked in front of Fang Zhiyi, and looked him up and down. "Bad guy? Hahahaha, don't make me laugh. I've seen a lot of bad guys, but none like you."

Mia's job was to help her move things. She had a hard time moving some of the discarded electronic equipment.

Fang Zhiyi worked hard without complaint. After all, this girl provided him with a place to live and canned food when he had nowhere to go. Although the cans were rusty and tasted bad, they could fill his stomach.
