The uncle took them down the mountain to buy things. There was a market thirty feet to the west. The uncle personally ordered a new robe for each of them, even the "old-fashioned" he mentioned had a set.
After ordering the new robe, the uncle asked his senior brother to set up the stall. Looking at the three words "Race to Gods", Jiang Mubai chewed the candied haws in his mouth. The uncle seemed a little too arrogant.
He watched the customers passing by one by one in front of his uncle, and his senior brother was responsible for collecting the money. Jiang Mubai found an interesting point. Every time a customer gave money, his senior brother would smile with his eyes narrowed. He was not like this on weekdays.
Jiang Mubai was not stupid. After watching for a long time, he was sure of one thing: his uncle was just trying to cheat him out of money. Sure enough, when he was packing up and leaving, he secretly took a look at the fortune stick box and picked out a few at random. They were all good fortune sticks.
In response, the uncle said, "How can anyone tell fortunes? Wouldn't that be struck by lightning?" Finally, he said, "Most of these people come here to ask for divination because they have problems. Although we can't solve them, just making them feel better is worth the few cents."
Jiang Mubai noticed that his senior brother nodded like crazy.
When the three of them entered Baiyun Temple, the master was already sitting in the courtyard. Seeing the three of them return, his face was gloomy. Before the senior brother could approach, he heard the master shout, "Kneel down!"
Senior brother pouted and knelt down, Jiang Mubai lowered his head and knelt down as well. Jiang Mubai knew that it was probably because his uncle had done something wrong and let it slip.
The uncle frowned and looked at the master, and their eyes seemed to be about to fly.
Suddenly, the uncle touched my lower back.
The master also stood up, and the next moment, the uncle's wailing was heard.
"Master! Please open your eyes and look! Your eldest disciple asked me to kneel down in front of him! I am almost a generation shorter than him!"
Jiang Mubai secretly raised his eyes and saw that his master had an ugly face and his lips were trembling. After a long while, he said, "I didn't ask you to kneel."
"Then why are you so fierce? Huh? You're so broke, why don't we go out and make some money? You said last time that I'd make the decision."
It would have been fine if this hadn't been mentioned, but once the master mentioned this, his face darkened: "Why did you steal the woodcutter's load of firewood?"
Jiang Mubai was stunned. It turned out that Wang Laosan didn’t go to his master to complain?
"He ran to the temple gate and cursed at me, and even tried to hit me. Would it be too much for me to ask him to pay a load of firewood as compensation?"
Jiang Mubai felt from the bottom of his heart that his uncle was lying with his eyes open.
"You!" The master was a little angry. "How could he hit you? I think you are a little lawless!"
The uncle held up the tablet and said, "Come on, come on, kill me!"
The master was so angry that he stormed out.
The eldest brother stood there, not knowing what he was thinking. Jiang Mubai felt his uncle pulling his hand: "Get up." He kicked his brother, "And you, we didn't do anything wrong, why are you kneeling?"
His voice was quite loud, so the master must have heard it.
"I've lived half my life in vain. I don't even understand why a kind person gets bullied."
The uncle muttered to himself, and Jiang Mubai didn't know if he could stand up. He looked up at his eldest senior brother. Although the eldest senior brother didn't talk much, he loved them the most. The eldest senior brother looked at the uncle and nodded. Only then did Jiang Mubai stand up.
He suddenly remembered something and pulled out an oil-paper package from his arms: "Big Brother, I'm bringing some to you and Master."
"Oh my, I'll bring you and Master, tsk tsk tsk." The uncle imitated him in a low voice and walked towards his own bedroom. The elder brother followed behind and imitated him: "Oh, I'm so touched~"
